    Ice cold Sapporo Beer

My wife and I had lunch @ Sushi Ko. We both ordered the Sashimi & Tempura combination lunch, added in a Dragon Roll, and a Sapporo beer. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The atmosphere was comfortable and relaxing.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]The dining area was clean and nicely organized with a nice bar and sushi bar.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Brittany was our server, she was welcoming, friendly, and attentive. Regarding our orders, the sashimi was fresh and the Tempura was very good, and the Dragon Roll was delicious. Plenty of free parking and access is excellent. NOTE: it can be a little hard to spot Sushi Ko from the parking lot as it is tucked back in a courtyard next door to Chompie's and Club Pilates.

When someone mentions Sushi Ko, I get nostalgic. This used to be one of the main sushi places my friends and I would go to, back when we were still in middle school and high school and it's still here over fifteen years later. Someone recently suggested going there for lunch and I said, why not? After looking over the lunch menu, we ordered pan fried gyoza to share, an order of Sushi set B, nabeyaki udon, and tempura udon. The gyoza, a classic one can't go wrong with, was cooked to perfection; crispy on one side. The nigiri part of sushi set B was okay. The fish was of average quality. Unfortunately, neither of us were fans of their California roll. Now for their udon, the noodles themselves had a nice texture, bounce, and chew to them. However, the broth of both of our soups were overly salty for our liking. Overall, the nostalgia was nice but there wasn't anything outstanding about our meal that would make me go out of my way to return any time soon. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Not much has changed about this place ambiance wise. The interior is still cozy, intimate and inviting.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] The service was okay, a bit brash at times.

We got to go food but the staff were so friendly and welcoming, confirming they included everything in our order which I found very professional and kind to take the time to do. The food was delicious! I will definitely be back. Heads up the entrance is behind so you won't see it from the parking lot. Tons of parking close by. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Clean and well organized inside[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

[[HIGHLIGHT]]This place is super cute environment![[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]It is sort of hard to find in the shopping plaza - it's is tucked away in the back![[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] The waitress was super helpful and sweet and I could tell she enjoyed making sure people had a good experience. The food was incredible! I was there for a meeting so the food was ordered for me. I'm not sure what all I ate off the menu but you can see the pictures! [[HIGHLIGHT]]We were seated in the back of the restaurant, where there was a private, quiet area for us to have a great meeting![[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

This place has been around for over 25 years and it's still kickin! Very good pricing and the food quality is still up there. The staff is amazingly nice and the menu is huge. Obviously they have all the sushi. But they also have Ramen, udon, katsu, and so much more.

We've enjoyed Sushi Ko even back when previous owners ran it. It is even better now- the best, freshest and most delicious in town. The chefs are masters and make the experience even more enjoyable when seated at the bar. Their skill is as great as their friendliness. Everyone working there is fully at your service too, with smiles. We like to experiment with both new items we pick but especially 'omakase' style (ask the chef!). Today Chef Mo was at the bar. You'll enjoy all of their menu, especially if you're an adventurous eater.

Still going strong after many years! We've been coming for almost 20 years! Great neighborhood location!

    Crunchy roll and shrimp tempura.

Amazing food! The miso soup is so flavorful. We leave extremely satisfied every time! Also great service!

    Sashimi and tempura dinner

Sushi Ko has been here longer than I've been to Arizona and their food has been consistent for the past 20 years. While it may not be the best Japanese restaurant in the area, they offer comfort food. I come here to eat once every few years and I noticed their price went up in the past 20 years. (Well not that significantly much but cost of living went up too). Menu has changed a little over the year but some of them are still here. On this particular time, I came here for dinner and had tempura and sashimi dinner. The meal comes with miso soup and cucumber sunomono salad. They put generous amount of tofu, I like miso soup as they helps me feel relaxed. Tempura was cooked perfectly. It always did whenever I had tempura here. Perhaps they still have the same chef in the back? Sashimi was good too. They have nabe (hot pot) on the menu, something they always had from the beginning. When it gets colder outside, it will be a perfect season to enjoy hot pot and I should come back here to try.

Party tray filled with sushi of you choice. super affordable and CONVINIENT! give your party the life it's been waiting for!

Upon arrival, the place doesn't look like anything special. It's inside a strip mall, and looks mediocre. However, do not judge too soon. Once you get inside, everything is well laid out & it's very nice. It was busy when we went in on a Friday night, BUT we got seated quicker than estimated- which is always a win! I was not happy with where we were seated, as it was facing the wall in the small bar area. We are people watchers by nature, so it's always fun to be in a spot where we can look around the room effortlessly. However, it wasn't the end of the world and I certainly didn't want to wait any longer, the food looked wonderful & I was starving! I do not remember exactly which rolls we got, but... all of them were EXCELLENT!! Everything was undoubtedly fresh, and made with quality ingredients. I thought the black rice was really neat! I've never seen that before. The waitstaff were very friendly and accommodating. It took no time at all to get our orders out, which was impressive considering that the place was packed near capacity! As we left, all of the sushi pros behind the glass thanked us for coming in and wished us a great rest of our evening. I thought that was very kind. It's not very often that you find a whole line of people stopping what they are doing to wish you well on your way out of their establishment. All in all, 10/10 experience! I would recommend this place to anyone who loves Sushi!

We were very sceptical at first but the recommendation was spot on. We were seated right away and our server Bela approached immediately. She was very friendly and went down the menu telling us all about the specials and her recommendations. We needed no recommendations because we were there for one thing the Bei special. The special was an assortment of various rolls assembled beautifully making each piece stand out. The first bite was divine and as we worked around the ring of rolls they got better and better. The sauces brought perfect harmony and complemented the fish. The sushi was incredibly fresh not having the fishy order lingering. The rolls melted in your mouth like butter leaving you satisfied. It was so good we placed a second order. Bela stopped by frequently checking on us and also telling us about the restaurant and the area and provided a friendly atmosphere that you do not often get in northern Midwest. The Spider Roll was very good except for the sauce on top that did not suite our palate but after removing the sauce it was fantastic. The Hot Mama Roll was also amazing. The flavors went well with the Yuki Mango Nigori Sake. We also tried some of their beers and spent a while catching up. Belas service was second to none and made this reunion fabulous. The sushi at Bei was better than 95% of our sushi restaurants in my state and the price was very good. They also have a cute cat robot that delivers food! Thank you Bela we hope to come back again on our next trip to Arizona to try more food.

The tuna and salmon pieces were a little fishy, maybe not the freshest, but it was also quite late (~10pm) so I wasn't expecting too much.
