Koshi sushi was a great experience. Starting with polite and accommodating hostesses, service and delicious, fresh sushi everything was amazing. All Koshi rolls that we tried were perfect and delicious. Good place to spend the evening or have lunch.

This restaurant was such a wonderful find! My friend and I walked in on a Saturday afternoon, and we were immediately seated. The interior was so pretty and made for such a calm, peaceful environment. I ordered the chirashi bowl from the lunch special menu, which was delicious. The sashimi tasted so fresh, and the presentation was great, too. My friend ordered the shrimp avocado roll and salmon roll, which she enjoyed! I would definitely come here again to try more.

Loved Sushi Koshi! Fish was fresh and portion and quality justify the price. Space was limited, but cozy, and staff went above and beyond to be welcoming. We came closer to closing time, but staff didn't rush us. Watching roll & Soho roll was our favs. For sure coming back!

Very good! I've ordered to go and dined in, outside on the sidewalk for lunch special. We also tried Roll for Two and Sushi Koshi Roll. Excellent staff/ service and the sushi is very fresh! We have been very happy with this spot! Would absolutely recommend!

Continuing on my local sushi tour we find Sushi Koshi. It was delivery this time, but will stop in to check out their sit-down next time. To start we ordered Gyoza (3/5), these were cold for some reason while the complimentary miso soup was warm/hot. The pork filling was good enough. The Tuna Tataki (5/5) and Shashimi (4/5) were both very good and fresh as can be. For our sushi rolls we got the JJ Roll (5/5) and the Blooming Roll (4/5). Both were excellent, but the JJ Roll was our favorite. The Crab, fried shrimp, cream cheese, etc... were the perfect match of flavors for so much going on. The Blooming had ample amount of tuna, white fish, and tuna on top--something was missing though. They threw in a a free roll which I thought was great for a first experience with them. They never mentioned what the roll was, but it was great. This place was consistent compared to our last sushi experience in the area. Will try again.

Every…read moreeel I have had in the U.S. has never compared, even the eel I had in Seoul, so I was hesitant to order it at Minoru. But this was absolutely worth it. I'm so glad my husband pressured me to. The eel was incredibly tender and delicate on the inside with a delicious crispy exterior and a rich flavor with every bite. The contrast in texture was so so good and it honestly exceeded my expectations in every way. I wish I had more. Easily the best eel I have had in the U.S. I'm still thinking about it weeks later. My husband ordered the Wagyu donburi, which was excellent. The Wagyu was incredibly tender. The waitress also cracked an egg over the beef. It came with rice at the bottom, miso soup, and broth. I also really appreciated that our waitress came over and explained the different ways to enjoy both entrees. There were four different ways to eat each one, which made the experience feel much more thoughtful and interactive. I enjoyed eating mine plain and mixed with broth, scallions, and seaweed. These were the only two dishes we ordered and both were excellent. I will definitely be back for the eel again. It is definitely cheaper than flying to Japan to get my fix.

We were pleasantly greeted & sat down. The waitress took our order & provided us with the hand towels. We ordered a couple drinks, and plenty of food. The best item we tried was the Karage (fried chicken), it came out steaming hot & crispy. My husband ordered the Wagyy app & it was good too. I ordered the Shrimp Tempura noodles & my husband a Salmon sushi rice dish. All were presented beautifully, tasted fresh & light. The atmosphere is trendy & cute. The service is great & friendly. I definitely recommend this restaurant.

No rushing like many NJ restaurants and very helpful servers. Our high top table was right next to the sushi bar so we could see and hear what was going on. Next visit I definitely want to be at the bar. The restaurant is small and intimate. Definitely lots of "regulars" with relationship with the owner/chef. He was very friendly to us from afar. I would love to be a regular, it's just too pricey for my weekly budget but definitely worth every penny. If you eat sushi in NJ you've got to try it. Plus there's a great video about the restaurant and owner I found online.

I've had the pin for about 40 years and who knows how long she'd had it before me. First time at this restaurant in a meh kind of mood. I went across the way for a beer at Montclair brewery which never disappoints either and the carnival (yay montclair). I went home just to realize that the dress rebelled and the pin fell off (no shade on the funnel cake). I retraced my steps but pretty much knew it was a lost cause. But the pin meant so much to me so I decided I would call around on the very off off off chance anyone would have found it. The brewery didn't have it, my car, my lawn, the carnival was a mess, what are the odds? I certainly would not have left it at the restaurant because I was just sitting there. But why not call right? Guess what?! Ken- at Chef Chef was so happy when I called "I remember you! I found your pin in the bathroom! It's here! " Welp 12 hours later I'm standing here before they open today -- all smiles they opened the door and handed me, all wrapped up in plastic wrap, my grandmother's pin.
