Quality of the food is very good. Me and my friends go to a lot of AYCE sushi places and we haven't been here yet so we decided to try it! So we got there around 1:45 and we're seated immediately as it wasn't really busy. They have both the lunch and dinner AYCE papers right when you walk in, however when we were seated we were only offered the dinner menu. This was not a REALLY big deal as there are more options on the dinner menu, HOWEVER I was prepared to come in for the lunch price, otherwise we would have come later in the day specifically for dinner (dinner starts at 4). So that was somewhat bothersome and really why I didn't give 5 stars...Lunch $18.99 vs dinner with tax $28. I liked that this place also included dessert in the AYCE and it was super yummy! - we got the mochi ice cream (green tea) and the regular ice cream (vanilla and red bean - UM, YUM). The only thing is that almost all of the special rolls had tempura or were deep fried, which isn't a problem unless you're trying to keep the gluten intake low. We got a variety of appetizers and rolls and what I loved the most is instead of having to order the nigiri with the rice, for every roll you order you can get 3 sashimi!! So basically the delicious fish without the rice. The sashimi was thick and the texture was spot on - not chewy whatsoever. We got salmon, tuna and eel. They definitely do not skimp here as other places do. Same with the rolls, the amount of rice did not outshine the fish. Not what I'm looking for in a all you can eat sushi restaurant. The all you can eat was $22.95. The menu was very decent. The problem I had was everything was so much rice with very little ingredients. The sushi had double the rice of other restaurants and the fish was very thin. This place has very good food however but they are playing the game of fill you up as fast as I can so you eat less. When I go to a all-you-can-eat sushi I go because I like to sample many items. If you go here you will only be able to eat one roll and maybe four pieces of sushi and you will be stuffed. Most of the rolls are 8 to 10 pieces and the sushi is double the rice. That does not leave much room to sample other items on the menu. Although the food was good I will not return because I do not like being filled up on rice. read more

Under normal circumstances, I'd give this place 4 stars for great sushi and mediocre service. We went there today (2/14/20) for Valentine's Day (as many other people had the same idea) and it was by far the worst service we ever had. Now, they had 7 tables filled, 1 was a 6 top and 1 was an 8 top, 4 tables people had just left with 2 servers (only 1 of which spoke enough English to get by), 2 sushi chefs and 3 people waiting on to-go orders. I get it they were swamped. We got there at 7:55pm and stood in the door until 8:15. The servers walked past us 9 times making eye contact but not once acknowledged They looked at us, made eye contact but never said a word. It wasn't till the sushi chef got tired of me glaring at him that he said we can sit wherever. We sat down, a server gave us the AYCE menu 10 minutes later. After several passes and them interacting with every other table (never talking to us but walking past us several times), I got up and handed the menus with our choices to the server and ordered a beer. Beer came 20 minutes later. Sushi came out relatively quickly. By this time there were 5 tables with 2 people. Still no acknowledgement, we finish our last piece, and fill out our 2nd option for the AYCE menu. I try to signal the servers who walked past us several times and no acknowledgement. I once again had to actively stop the server to hand him the choices. Sushi came out pretty quickly. We finished and waited about 15 more minutes with not one look, no acknowledgement. My wife had to get up and actually stop the server to ask for the check, look it over and immediately gave payment cause we didn't want to wait longer for them to not pay any attention to us. I gave 3 stars based on previous experiences but if this were my 1st experience here, it would be a 1 star for sure and we would never return. But we'll give this place another chance, and if it's a similar experience, we'll drive the extra 20 minutes to Hokkai to get better service and better sushi! read more

We ate here last night and loved it. We decided on the all you can eat dinner. It was a great price with a great selection. The appetizers we picked from the all you can eat menu was the miso soup, house salad, the egg rolls which were all delish. We just loved the dressing on the house salad! We picked a ton of sushi. Our favorites was the cherry blossom and the mango tango rolls. The mango gives it a nice flavor. We finished with green tea ice cream. We came for the all you can eat deal where it's $24.99. the catch is that whatever you don't eat you are charged $0.50 per piece or $1.00 per signature roll. So make sure you order what you can eat first then go back for more. We started with the miso soup and the crab Ragoon and we are going in for seconds. Pure Bliss. Then we had the crispy spicy tuna. Upon being seated finally no wait staff approached us and then 20 minutes into waiting we were given a sheet of paper to put our all you can eat without a word from the waiter. We wait another 25 minutes without any acknowledgement even while wait staff passed by and acknowledged other diners and even served those who came in after us. Been to Sushi Nova twice in one month. My wife and I really enjoy the ayce menu that they have. They have a couple of unique salads on the menu as well as appetizers that I've never seen at a ayce. This really gives the authentic Japanese restaurant vibe. Doesn't look like too much on the outside, but once you get in it's cozy, clean, and comforting. The all you can eat is a great deal, but ordering a la carte is great as well. Really solid AYCE sushi. I'm wondering if this is the same company as sushi taku in the city because they have a near identical menu. The specialty rolls are great, and the sunny roll is my favorite. I love the turtle roll and they have an appetizer that is a "salad" with cucumber, crab meat, spicy mayo and something crunchy. It was delicious. I could have only ate that and been great.
