New sushi spot on the block that was Sushiya prior but please give them a try because their selection of sushi is aaaaaamazing!!! First things first, happy hour is every day 50% select items from 3-6pm which is a plus! Their rolls are absolutely delicious. My husband and I loved the selection they have for HH. They have items from sushi, bento, and the lunch combos.! Tried out their gyoza, takoyaki, and cucumber salad and it did not disappoint! For the sushi you HAVE to try their honey bee roll that packs a bunch and the honey does more than it should I promise it's delicious! Also try their Nordahl roll that has an umami sauce that's also just as good. Honestly everything we ordered had so much flavor in every bite! These two rolls stood out most to us but of course to each their own but no really their sushi selection is bomb. Was taken care of by Christina who was the biggest sweetheart and definitely made sure we were taken care of! Came in on a Wednesday 11am and placed an order for the salmon lover roll. It's a premium roll so I always hesitate ordering it. With tax it comes out to $25. So, today I decided to order it to-go and determine if the price is worth the quality, quantity and flavor. I waited around 12 minutes. It was quiet since they had just opened. Got my order and took it home. At first glance, it looked good. I took a bite without the sauce it came with and the rice to protein ratio just a bit off. Flavor is good. Rice was seasoned right. I like that it has real crab, tobiko and ikura. My one disappointment is the amount of salmon on the top. If that would have been a bit more generous it would have been a 9/10. I tried it with the sauce and it was a garlicky ponzu forward flavor. It went well with the salmon, but I'm glad they served it on the side. 1st time I came I had the salmon bento box and it was delicious! However, on my 2nd time here, I ordered the Mixed poke bowl, it looks delicious but I was disappointed with the amount of protein in there. They were tiny slices of mixed poke but so much rice on it. We came for lunch on a Friday around noon, there were only 2 servers and the wait time was longer. The restaurant looks really small but probably can accommodate 20-30 people. I did a phone order so I can't speak to the dine inexperience, however, if it was anything like over the phone, it must be great. The man on the phone was very helpful and they were actually able to customize a role for me. (Deep fry the whole roll) and when I went to pick up, it was quick clean, organized, and well managed. I had to come back to try the new menu and it did not disappoint. I do miss the pictures from the old menu but they are separated by roll type which is helpful. The server was attentive and checked on us regularly. It was pretty busy inside when we went on a Monday around 5:30. Happy hour ends at 6 by the way! Some discounted apps, rolls, and hot sake. (As we were eating we were talking about this place being our new GO TO favorite Sushi place) I chose the Salmon Bento Box. Was pleased when the server asked if I wanted the sauce on the side. Yes, please! GREAT way to go. The salmon had grill marks and tasted so very good. Loved everything else that came with the Bento lunch too. I opted for water. Next time might try a Sake? Be sure to order the Real Wasabi...it is a difference maker and a good portion for the price. Speaking of price, everything was priced great. Lunch for two came it at $49 plus tip. For quality seafood, we felt that was fair. Service was SUPERB! Food came out quickly but not TOO quickly, meaning it was all hot and fresh. The cucumber salad was crunchy and sweet with a little tang, the smoked salmon was buttery soft, and both the Ca and spicy tuna rolls were stuffed full and perfect. We also ordered the ocean and snowball rolls. I don't typically loved deep fried rolls, but the snowball was really good and not heavy. The crunchy roll was also very good.
