Came in on a Wednesday 11am and placed an order for the salmon lover roll. It's a premium roll so I always hesitate ordering it. With tax it comes out to $25. So, today I decided to order it to-go and determine if the price is worth the quality, quantity and flavor. I waited around 12 minutes. It was quiet since they had just opened. Got my order and took it home. At first glance, it looked good. I took a bite without the sauce it came with and the rice to protein ratio just a bit off. Flavor is good. Rice was seasoned right. I like that it has real crab, tobiko and ikura. My one disappointment is the amount of salmon on the top. If that would have been a bit more generous it would have been a 9/10. I tried it with the sauce and it was a garlicky ponzu forward flavor. It went well with the salmon, but I'm glad they served it on the side. 1st time I came I had the salmon bento box and it was delicious! However, on my 2nd time here, I ordered the Mixed poke bowl, it looks delicious but I was disappointed with the amount of protein in there. They were tiny slices of mixed poke but so much rice on it. We came for lunch on a Friday around noon, there were only 2 servers and the wait time was longer. The restaurant looks really small but probably can accommodate 20-30 people. One million times an upgrade from when it was Sushiya. Like holy heavens, the taste of the food went from 4 to 10 on freshness. And the $11 22oz Beer and hot sake deal?... say less. Tonkotsu ramen perfect milkiness, but they can give a thicker piece of pork chasu though... the rolls, SO MUCH better. Recently visited this place when I was in town for work. 4 stars for being a great sushi place but not like the best of the best. I enjoyed the sushi rolls we ordered and some highlights were the I Love You Roll and the Nordahl Roll. The calamari tempura appetizer we got was decent and edamame is pretty standard. I did a phone order so I can't speak to the dine inexperience, however, if it was anything like over the phone, it must be great. The man on the phone was very helpful and they were actually able to customize a role for me. (Deep fry the whole roll) and when I went to pick up, it was quick clean, organized, and well managed. Delicious sushi joint, recently changed their name to Sushi On. The service was amazing even though it was a packed house for dinner. The sushi came out so quickly we sat at the bar. I ordered to go a chirashi bowl and salmon crispy rice appetizer. It was super easy to order through Yelp and go pick it up. I was greeted right away by the waitress and handed my order. It doesn't get any easier than that. Kudos to the chef; the presentation was perfect, fish and ingredients were fresh and it was the perfect pick me up. I had to come back to try the new menu and it did not disappoint. I do miss the pictures from the old menu but they are separated by roll type which is helpful. The server was attentive and checked on us regularly. It was pretty busy inside when we went on a Monday around 5:30. Happy hour ends at 6 by the way! Some discounted apps, rolls, and hot sake. (As we were eating we were talking about this place being our new GO TO favorite Sushi place) I chose the Salmon Bento Box. Was pleased when the server asked if I wanted the sauce on the side. Yes, please! GREAT way to go. The salmon had grill marks and tasted so very good. Loved everything else that came with the Bento lunch too. I opted for water. Next time might try a Sake? Be sure to order the Real Wasabi...it is a difference maker and a good portion for the price. Speaking of price, everything was priced great. Lunch for two came it at $49 plus tip. For quality seafood, we felt that was fair. Service was SUPERB! Food came out quickly but not TOO quickly, meaning it was all hot and fresh. Happy hour 7 days a week? Yes please! We have been twice - the service was friendly and quick both times. We have ordered off both the regular and happy hour menu and everything was really good. The cucumber salad was crunchy and sweet with a little tang, the smoked salmon was buttery soft, and both the Ca and spicy tuna rolls were stuffed full and perfect. We also ordered the ocean and snowball rolls. I don't typically loved deep fried rolls, but the snowball was really good and not heavy. The crunchy roll was also very good.
