I'm sad to have to amend my rating from 5 stars to 2. The food is good but expensive and it beomes harder to justify spending so much when the service here is starting to slip. It seems that they are not paying as much attention to the details that go into giving the customer a positive dining experience. Here are a few issues we had with our last visit with Brianna as our server: Service was slow even though the restaurant was not very busy. It took about 15 minutes before our order was taken or water was brought. We've eaten here many, many times over the years and know that Miso Soup is complimentary when you are dining in for dinner and is usually brought out for you to eat while waiting on your main course to be made yet our server never mentioned that or inquired if we wanted soup. We had to go searching for her and request it. When she did bring our soup, 2 of the 3 bowls were chipped and cracked which was gross and tacky for as expensive as the restaurant is. Those bowls should have been thrown away instead of being used. When our main entrees were brought the server did not bring plates, utensils or napkins and didn't notice that we didn't have them. We had to go ask her for them and it took a while for her to bring them which left us all sitting there staring at our food. We ordered lobster sauce which we never got even after reminding our server twice. One person in our party needed a water refill and again we had to go find her to ask for more water. Oh and to make it just that much better, two women came in with a baby and a child that was probably 4 or so and they allowed the children to scream and cry and fuss and repeatedly throw stuff on the floor. Word of advice for those with children - if you are dining out with kids (which I do as I am a mom), PLEASE be considerate of the other diners. You are not at home and it is YOUR job as a parent to teach your children how to behave in public and if it's a bad day for the child, take them out of the restaurant until they calm down or get your food to go. Nobody wants to have their meal that they are paying good money for ruined by an ill behaved child. It's rude and inconsiderate to allow your child to disturb other diners. You would think this would go without saying but evidently not since this issue happens quite frequently at different establishments. Does no one have manners anymore? Sorry for the rant - it's just really annoying! So Sushi One, please, please, pretty please work on these issues so you can go back to being one of our favorite restaurants and we can put you back in our list of "Go To" restaurants. read more

My favorite sushi place in Greeley by far! I would even put it in my top 5 favorite sushi restaurants in the NoCo area. The staff are all so wonderful - I have never had a negative experience with anyone here. They are accommodating, friendly, and so helpful. There is one server there (I think his name is Taj?) who is so great at his job. I always look forward to seeing his friendly smile and chatting with him when I come in. I love the energy of the restaurant. It is fairly relaxed and never feels too loud or chaotic for me, even when it's busy, which is great for someone with pretty bad social anxiety such as myself. It does get fairly busy on weekends and even some week nights, but I've never had to wait for my food for too long. My one complaint is that they don't have a proper host stand or waiting area so it can get kind of congested near the front of the restaurant and you don't always know what to do when you are waiting for someone to seat you or when you are picking up a to go order. The food is delicious! I've never had a complaint about anything I've ordered (mainly sushi). I love all of their rolls and think their to go specials are pretty good. Honestly, sometimes the rolls can be a little sloppy looking and the cuts on the sashimi aren't perfect , but everything always tastes good so it really doesn't bother me too much. My wife and I found our sushi place at Greeley. The chefs are very creative with their rolls, they even made us try a sample roll that was so yummy and still not on the menu. Used to be great; I liked their chicken teriyaki... but it seems like it's gone downhill a bit though. Food was cold, and the side of teriyaki sauce was... gelatinous. I don't eat sushi much (I'm not fond of most seafood) but my partner says they're sushi is not bad. Tempura is was pretty good the last time I had it, but it's been awhile. I was very disappointed in the service here. I was searching for a quality sushi restaurant in Greeley, and was let down by Sushi One. I was only in there for a short amount of time when I decided I would rather pay and leave than even finish or take home my mediocre sushi. I saw a blonde chef wipe his nose with his hand before going right back to preparing food, servers wiping down the tables with a rag that put down more than it picked up, and there was an insane amount of rubbish collected on the outside patio. This is the 21st century, hygiene is important, especially in a facility serving RAW fish. Don't eat here. read more

Went here last night for dinner with a friend. We were from out of town and so glad we chose this place!! Omg it was fabulous! The place is small and cozy, but the service was great and we only waited 5 mins to be seated. The sushi was the best sushi we had both had in a very long time! I wish I would have taken pictures, but from presentation to taste it was perfect. Everything was fresh and the variety was vast. I highly recommend this place and will be back on our next trip out here. read more

The sushi was ok if you like 'plain' overpriced american sushi. The customer service was terrible. We placed an order with Sushi One on March 5th. We were excited to try a new Sushi restaurant especially after we saw all of the great reviews! I was a little concerned because the prices were a little high but we went ahead because of all the great reviews. We placed a large order for pick up and I picked up the sushi on my way home from work. When I got home my family was excited and hungry. We proceeded to unpack the sushi and prepare for dinner. We were almost shocked to find out that the sushi did not come with wasabi or ginger. How are you supposed to eat sushi without wasabi and ginger? We called the restaurant to inform them of their mistake and try to find a resolution to this problem. I spoke with a hostess that informed me that they do not serve their sushi with wasabi and ginger. Apparently you have to order wasabi and ginger separate from your sushi order! !?! Having to pay extra for the best part of the sushi on already overpriced sushi was beginning to cross the line. I asked to speak to a manager and immediately the hostess became very short with me and then hung up. I called back and asked to speak with a manager. This time I spoke with a hostess by the name of Leslie. Leslie was a little more polite than her colleague but did not appear very interested in trying to do any work to improve this situation. She informed me that I could either drive back to the restaurant (that was 30 minutes away from my home) and pickup the wasabi and ginger or I could speak with a manager. I asked to speak with the manager. I was then told that there manager was too busy and I would have to call back tomorrow. Apparently, the manager had no interest in trying to resolve this problem either. They following morning I had errands to run in Greeley and I went into Sushi One to take to a manager. I spoke with Tae who explained to me that they do not serve ginger or wasabi with their sushi because they do not want to be wasteful. ??? I pointed out that they included over 30 soy sauce packets with our order. Most of which were thrown away. This seems to me much more wasteful than a biodegradable product like wasabi or ginger could ever be. Tae did apologize for the bad customer service experience with the staff the night before but he seemed uninterested in trying to find a solution. I asked if there was anything they could do to improve this situation and he offered me a scope of ice cream. After wasting a lot of money on mediocre sushi his best solution was a scope of ice cream. !!! I will not eat at this restaurant again. The sushi was probably better than ok, but the poor customer service from numerous members of the staff left a bad taste in my mouth. If you are in the area and looking for sushi, I would recommend going across the street to Wal-Mart. At least there, you get free wasabi and ginger. read more

This place was such a find while in Greeley for a conference. The place is casual and was packed for lunch. Their lunch special is available on the weekend. It includes 3 full size rolls for $12.95 or 2 for $9.95. I tried the Spicy Tuna Tempora roll, Philly roll and Shrimp Tempora roll. None of these disappointed! And oh my goodness, we loved the Jalapeño Bomb appetizer! I rarely leave a sushi place as stuffed and never for less than $20. Get in on this. people - this sushi was SO good. read more

Really good lunch specials. I've only ever done pick up and never dined in. It looks really nice inside though. They are very fast at getting your order. The spicy tuna is really spicy but not too spicy. It's really good. Their sweet potato tempura roll is unlike any other I've ever had, it has cucumber and avocado in it. It's very good as well. I wish they delivered. I will order from them again and hopefully dine in one day. read more

I mentioned that the website says that every order gets free miso soup and the server said it is not free with any takeout order. I used to go to this restaurant a lot. The last two times I went the beef in the teriyaki bento box was burnt. I don't mean just well done, I mean burnt as in black, hard and charred pieces of what used to be beef. This last time was the final straw as when the food was brought to my table I asked the waitress if she looked over my plate before she served it. When she said yes, I told her how in the world could she miss the charred bits on my plate. I was in no way going to eat that garbage. She dissappeared for about 15 minutes.
