It wasnt bad but definitely an interesting experience. Went here with my father. I ordered Pho, he ordered a thai noodle dish. Service was prompt and pretty good. The inside is very "unique" its decorated somewhat like a bad dream mixed with animal pelts. The pho was disappointing. It wasnt rice noodles, it came with nothing on the sides like normal pho (no basil, hoison, bean sprouts, lime etc). When I asked for hoison sauce they brought out an industrial sized bottle that had dried sauce on the sides. I am not sure what to make of this. I love the concept. I love the theme. I love that none of their plates, bowls, or flatware match. I love that it's a dive (in the best possible sense of the word). This was my first visit, so I ordered cautiously ... only two apps that are typically my favorites in a Thai restaurant. 1) shrimp fresh roll (aka summer roll) 2) tom yum soup Both were good. The fresh roll was the best of the lot and the sauce was excellent. I wish the veggies were a little colder. But that's splitting hairs. The soup was good. Had more funk than spice. Portion was borderline small - but happy I tried it. I will absolutely be back to try more "real" food. I appreciated the service and felt very well taken care of. What keeps me from giving a better score were a few, housekeeping items: 1) while I was pleased to see each table gets a lovely carafe of water, that water is really difficult to drink. It has a metallic and "funky" taste to it. It kind of turned me off to wanting to eat more before I ordered as I was then questioning "is this water in everything?" 2) my shoes kept sticking to the floor. Not out of filth/dirt, but it felt like the soap or floor cleaner they used was somehow still there and sticky. None of this impacted the food. But it put me in a mindset where I didn't really want to order an abundance of food and try it all. To be clear: I will be back. I can't wait to try some other dishes. read more

We've been coming here for a few years now. We eat in and take out. The service when eating in is always attentive. It's a small and fairly intimate space. Historically, everything we've had has been excellent. However, last night, the food was mediocre. I would guess they had a new cook, but I don't know for sure. We got pad Thai, spicy basil stir fry, fresh rolls, and Thai in love special fried rice with shrimp. The fresh rolls were good, much smaller than usual. The pad Thai was ok, dryer and smaller portions than in the past. The fried rice was bland, nothing special about it. I didn't have the spicy basil. I'm hoping it was just a part time new cook this time, otherwise likely the last time there. read more

From the outside, Thai In Love is pretty non-descript. They even have an old diner sign pointing down on the building. Its next to a gas station, and the parking lot spaces are a bit non-defined. But inside, it's adorable. Love (or symbols there of) are everywhere. There are boths and tables, and the check even came out on a candy heart plate! That alone is delightful. But then the food - yum! I don't even eat Thai that often and I knew I was getting quality ingredients and excellent cooking. The pad Thai with shrimp had well cooked shrimp and noodles. The crab ragoons were very cheesy. They were also a different type of shape them I normally see at Chinese restaurants. The shrimp on the beach were a bit messy to eat, but they were on a tray and again, well cooked. A great meal and experience! read more

Recently move to the area and wanted to try some Thai food since there are a few in the area. I came across this place and I am glad I decided to give it a try. We went around 3:30/4P on a Saturday and it was empty inside which was nice but that doesn't meant they were busy. They take out was constantly going. It's kind of hidden. It's off of the main road near a convenience store near a large diner sign. That brick building by the diner sign, in the small parking lot, Yup you're in the right place. The server was very friendly and funny. The food was a great price. I would say normal or maybe in a tad under to market price. The inside is decorated in a Love theme which goes with the name. Very intimate but fun. Now for the food. It was phenomenal. I got the steamed mussels, fried tofu, vegetable tempura and Crab rangoon (appetizers) and it was cleared almost immediately by the table because it was delicious. The sauce given with the crab Rangoon should be bottled and sold lol. The broth for the steamed mussels was to perfect as I wanted to order a soup but didn't need to based on that app. The entrees were priced well and very tasty. I love spicy food so I can handle the heat but if you are new to spice I would say stick to a 2-3 level. They do have additional side spices for the table if you want that extra kick. I definitely recommend this place and I will be back more frequently to try the different variety on the menu. read more

Very good Thai for the area. The angel wings were in a sweet sticky glaze, crispy and saucy. The love pockets (curry puffs) were lovely! Light, fluffy and not greasy at all! The side of steamed vegetable is a good portion and crisp and delicious. The pad see u was good, personally I like my noodles crispy. Thai in Love was a solid experience, and is perhaps even the best Thai restaurant within a 50 miles radius. The staff here definitely seem to care about their work and they've gone all out on the decor. They clearly have a theme going here, and they're going to stick to it! We started off with the Pockets of Love, which were delicious! The savory little appetizers are slightly on the sweet side, and the light sauce adds a refreshing brightness to it. For the entrée, I had the Pla Golden Garlic. It was overall a good dish, although they can make some minor adjustments. First, they could drain the oil a bit better, as there was some pooling on the side - and it was definitely not the sauce. Fortunately, the fish was extremely crispy and not at all soggy, and it was moist and tender inside. The garlic sauce was good, but the fillets could've benefited from more. It was also garnished with the divisive cilantro, which wasn't mentioned in the menu, nor is it a traditional garnish in Thai fish dishes. I understand it's currently trendy and cheaper than a wedge of lemon or lime, so I diligently picked off the soapy weeds and went on with my day. My partner enjoyed her pineapple fried rice. She thought the chicken was slightly dried, but the good portions filled her up anyway. We ended the meal with an order of fried ice cream, which I haven't had in awhile. I know it sounds weird, but it tastes fantastic! It's like if you fried a round donut and stuffed it with ice cream. Mmm. On a final note, they should consider adding a fried banana and fried ice cream dessert option. They sell them individually, but I'm sure they'll be popular together as well. read more

Even though our order was messed up, I'm giving this place 5 stars. First of all, this place is actually just really funny. The inside is decorated like its Valentine's Day year round. There's nothing but love, hearts, kissys, sparkling happiness and flowers all over the place. The two guys we interacted with fit RIGHT in with the decoration. Their food comes themed like this as well (see picture for our side of rice). I don't remember exactly what we had both ordered, but I know whatever my husband got wasn't what he ordered. He ate it anyway because it was good, and we never actually said anything about it- but not sure how his order slipped through the cracks. My husband and I took a ride on a cool and crisp fall day and ended up at this quaint and friendly restaurant for lunch. I had the salad with warm peanut dressing and fried tofu with some sauce on the side. The individual tofu pieces were deliciously hot and crispy. Found this place by accident. I was dropping my son off at his friends house on my way back to the highway and I spotted Thai in Love sitting pretty in the corner. I had to stop. Best decision I made that day. I ordered the Beef Red Curry (#46) I asked that it be a 4 out of 5 on the heat scale. The flavors were amazing and the portion size for $13.00 was appropriate. I enjoyed the strips of beef in the creamy sauce that accompanied my rice. I would absolutely order this again. I ordered the chicken fried rice for my mother in law (#35). This was also very tasty. My wife and I come to Thai In Love at least twice a week these days. We always have such a great experience, and love bringing friends to give them a try! A few of my favorite dishes are the massaman curry with grilled lemongrass chicken, the Thai boat noodle hot pot, and their drunken noodles with duck (and extra egg!).
