    Yoshi is awesome

First time here.... Yoshi and Brendan were spectacular. We ordered Woodford Reserve Old Fashioned , Fusion, Toki Blossom, Japanese Fried ChickenSalmon Nigiri, and so much more. Yoshi is really amazing. He made delicious food. The service was great. Brendan and Yoshi make a spectacular team. The place itself is really nice. Drinks were on point. It's really pretty inside. Parking can suck when they do the valet. They should make it free for those eating inside these restaurants. Sushi was fresh. We will be back. Great place to chill, mingle and enjoy yourself.

A lowkey and classy ambiance, spectacular Asian fusion dishes, and the perfect date night for two. Sushi Roku is one of our favorites, and this location is superior. Easy to access, amazing flavors, and ample parking. We love the different skewer options (try all of them!), the delicious salmon wasabi roll, and the yellowtail crispy rice. Service is consistently pleasant and efficient. Make a reservation - they do fill up. I recommend trying to sit in the booth areas, if possible. All-around, I highly recommend this restaurant and will be back again and again.

The food was good but not fabulous. Service was super friendly and attentive which helped add an additional star. Restaurant is new and beautifully decorated. We ordered the Japanese Fried Chicken which was a bit dry but seasoned well and was crisp. The miso cod was delicious probably my favorite and very good portion size. Shrimp bacon skewers were a good size but bacon was not crispy. Hamachi Serrano was my second fav, fresh and lots of flavor. Located at the Manhattan Beach Mall so there is lots of parking including valet.

Tried this for the first time for lunch. The service was phenomenal. She was pleasant, knowledgeable about the menu and attentive. The decor was attractive and the restaurant and restroom were spotless. The food had numerous standouts starting with the fluke hamachi with yuzu. Delicate fish that was perfectly seasoned. The crispy rice with yellowtail was nicely prepared and had just the right amount of acidity. The ribeye wrapped asparagus missed the mark as the meat was dry. Japanese fried chicken was hot with a beautiful light crispy batter. It was juicy and flavorful. We were presented with delicious cookies and ice cream at the end of our meal to celebrate our anniversary. An overall enjoyable experience.

2nd time ordering sushi delivered to me, I usually eat in. But it was fresh and delicious just like the first time. Asked for a few extra things and they did not fail me. I was a happy customer.

Food Visited this place on a thursday evening for happy hour with coworkers. Got me a beer, a tuna roll and some brussel sprout chips. The tuna roll was pretty standard, good rice texture and good freshness of the food, nothing really to make it stand out. The brussel sprout chips tho were really good. Nice and crispy with really good flavor. I would recommend getting this Service/Ambiance For happy hour, we were not allowed to sit inside due to our big party, so they sat us outside. It was quite cold but at least they had heaters on the patio. The staff were nice and accomodating and definitely a highlight of our meal. Food was served pretty quick

    Hamachi Serrano. Delicious.

They have a variety of lunch specials, including a sashimi combo meal with 8 pieces, salad, rice, and choice of a side. So good. My sons ordered a sushi lunch combo, tempura kids meal, and some gyoza/soft shell crab -- all delicious. As a treat we also ordered the A5 Wagyu (which they allowed us to order for lunch). It was prepared table side and was just incredible. Our server Kelly was amazing! Loved her great recommendations, and she constantly checked in with us. Her German/Ecuadorian heritage coincided with an upcoming World Cup match, so having her as our server was extremely fortuitous. The restaurant ambiance is simple yet welcoming along the main road. Parking was a little crowded but we found street parking not far away. I love how they have a waitlist and how food came out really quickly. They have their own special soy sauce recipe! We ordered some takeout food on the side and Kelly was on top of it all. Thanks to Kelly, the delicious food and fast service, this place is exceptional and gets high marks for me. I highly recommend checking out this place.

Parking was okay; I was able to easily find a parking spot and she took a little bit longer to find a parking spot. I was very hungry so I ordered kind of a lot of food: the shrimp tempura, the shishito peppers, a crunch roll with shrimp, and a vegan vegetable roll. Everything I ordered was actually really good. The main issue that I had was that there were a lot of flies in the restaurant. There were a lot of small flies but also the big kind of flies that fly around and that made the meal a little bit unpleasant. The servers were super friendly and attentive and the meal was otherwise good. I'm not sure if I'll come back because of the whole fly situation but at least the food was good

Hidden in plain sight, Kagura is a top tier Japanese dining experience. It should be noted that this place is more $$$ than it is $$, and that's a compliment. I dropped $50+ here and it was easy to say it was worth it. I treat myself to the Kagura Gozen chef especial that was limited on how many was served per day and a Orion Okinawa draft beer. Plus, I had leftovers. The chef special came with more-than-a-little of everything. Each dish was unique and delicious. I was treated to a full spread of amazing Japanese cuisine. Sashimi was fresh, katsu was thick and juicy with a lightly breaded crust, eel was flavorful and soft, and the soba noodles were perfect. The restaurant is clean and beautifully laid out. I got vibes of actually being in Japan. If you have a reservation, you can get a private booth. The attractive staff were fantastic. Friendly and fast. Water glass was always full and empty dishes were promptly removed. Last tid bits. Two clean solo bathrooms and street parking.

This time, I noticed this location offers special Gozen set meals that I hadn't seen before. They had a limited Dinner Gozen on the menu with only 10 sets available each night. Of course I had to order it. The set came with a little bit of everything: sushi, sashimi, katsu, eel rice, toro rice, ikura rice, soba, a variety of small cold side dishes, soup, and salad. It was a huge meal and I was honestly surprised I managed to finish the whole thing. I really enjoyed it because you get to try so many different items in one meal. If you're like me and love Japanese food, this is a great way to sample a little bit of everything without having to order a bunch of separate dishes. Everything tasted fresh and the quality was excellent. The restaurant itself isn't very big, so it can get pretty busy. They do take reservations though, which I'd recommend if you're planning to come during dinner. Overall, I really enjoyed this special Gozen meal and would definitely come back. It was a fun experience and a great value for the variety and quality of food you get.

With the USA getting a massive FIFA win, my New York Knicks finally taking home the NBA Finals Championship, and the Carolina Hurricanes defeating the Vegas Knights for the Stanley Cup, my friends and I needed a top-tier spot to celebrate. We walked in buzzing from the games, and the staff matched our energy perfectly. The service here is always attentive and friendly. We kicked off the celebration with a round of their premium chilled sake and an order of their spicy garlic edamame. Do yourself a favor and do not skip the edamame--the hot spice blend is dangerously addictive and pairs perfectly with the sake. But let's talk about the main event. I've not had issues parking in El Segundo. There are lots as well as residential side streets if you can't find any on Main. At least that's the case for me. Just remember to check the signs. I sat at the counter and experienced attentive, friendly and great service. There are tables as well as a semi-enclosed booth (for larger parties). TV over the bar playing an NBA game. I wouldn't say it's a spot to go to, to watch the game. It's all about the food. Again, it's all about the food. See pics. Went for a Cucumber Salad. Liked it the least. Wished it was marinated longer. Fresh and crunchy but would have enjoyed almost pickled. And more rice vinegar. Anyway - liked it the least but still liked it enough to polish it off. There was the Yakitori. Really enjoyed the flavor and sauce but it was white meat so on the dry side for me. I prefer dark. Massive salad which I didn't - couldn't finish. Then there was the Sashimi. It wasn't on the menu but i asked about a Sashimi Combo. 15 pieces and what has been the best Sashimi I've had this year so far. Pieces melting on my tongue - epitome of Umami. The red snapper had a nice light sweetness that made me save those pieces for last. I wanted to order more but was so full trying to polish off the salad that came with the Yakitori that I just promised myself that I'd just have to come back.
