My favorite sushi! I never have problems with this place as long as you are precise with your order ( which I usually order through their online system) Most of the chef rolls are great - especially the cooked salmon rolls. The crispy rice tuna appetizers are also a must. read more

I highly recommend coming to Sushi Tokyo , one of the best kosher sushi restaurants ! They have exquisite rolls , each one is great with there own unique taste . From spicy and sweet. Not only is the food great but so is the service . AND so are the hours , they open till late hours which is great because there aren't so many restaurants opened till 2am. The place itself is gorgeous I love the theme. Also they have alcohol which is very convenient since not a lot of kosher sushi spots have it, which was a great advantage. Was very disappointed with the sushi. The rice was thick and too sticky in the sushi roll. I did not enjoy the sushi at all. Also the edamame was half fresh and half old -- like you can see half of them were bright green and firm ... and the other half were this dark sea green color and limp and even slimy. Love this place, amazing sushi hands down. But the constant changing of workers is annoying because they aren't really on their game when it comes to ordering, refills. You always have to get their attention. I suggest calling food in and going to pick it up since there is always a 45+ minute delivery time. It's been quite a while on my other reviews. The staff and everything has changed since. The shulom alachem roll (sweet potato roll) is amazing! Tastes even better with shulom alachem pepper (jalapeño) dipped in shulom alachem sauce (spicy mayo). There shulom alachem salad (classic salad) tastes great and is always freshly made. The persian water (free tap water) is pretty good too. The shulom alachem waiters/waitresses (vladamir and not sure about the other names) are very friendly and the shulom alachem cashiers (emunah and don't know the other names) are friendly as well. Only 1 alachem shulent complaint is the service at times but other than that the shulom alachem alachem shulent restaurant is still going strong and the food is still great. Amen read more

When going to eat there we had to wait 20 min after being seated for water, and when we were brought a pitcher of their tap water we had to wait another 10 minutes for someone to bring cups. We seriously thought our food would take for ever to come out. But it came out with in 15 mins. As it turns out our "server", Joel was actually the manager. I would like to echo on what KATHY B. said below. I went in on 8/18/16 with my wife and I was shocked that that they changed the menu and raised their prices. They took away their dinner special which was a pain but to go out for sushi with my wife all of a sudden became a $50 ordeal. Most likely will not come back here. I had to give the waiter a lesser tip because it went over my budget. I will be going to sushi meshuga from now on. I always knew sushi tokyo was a ripoff but this price increase has taken it to new levels of ripoff. Very upsetting. I had a party of 12 people coming here next week. Extremely rude staff and unfresh sushi. Management here is awful and refuses to communicate with you if there is a problem. I ordered delivery from them late one night and they rang all the doorbells in my 4 apartment building instead of calling my cell phone upon arrival, which is what I specifically asked them to do when I placed my order. It was part midnight at this point and they woke up the entire building and did not even apologize for the mistake. Favorite roll is spicy tuna...they make a mean Takoyaki!!! They are always clean and culturally appropriate, deliver right to my door when I want it, ($25 minimum). Honestly, I don't really know why it took so long for me to write a review here. These guys are my favorite sushi place and I love coming here. Tonight though, was by far the best experience I've had. My favorite roll, the Fuji Roll took longer than expected to come out so the manager accommodated us with a dessert which was out of this world! If you're coming to sit down, make sure it's on a slow night cuz otherwise you might have to wait in line. The service is great and the food is even better. The worst service i have ever experienced. I used UberEats to get food. Upon ordering another additional roll was requested. Instead of adding the roll they tell me they can't and to add another order (with a charge of 5$ extra per order) i tell them i want to cancel my order and reorder they "can't do that either." But when i call back and speak to the manager he says that the order was "already canceled" and then my order was finally cancelled 2 minutes after the final phone call. Obviously i did not reorder and will never again. Does what you they can to get money from you. Do not recommend. Far better sushi places in the area. read more

LOVEEE SUSHI Tokyo! I order from here at least once a week and they NEVER disappoint. Their Yamato Roll is ON POINT, would definitely recommend. Even ordering at Midnight most nights, their sushi tastes so fresh. Also love that they are open until 2 am. They are fast, efficient, and even send you a text when your order is ready to be picked up or ready to be delivered. The girl who works the cashier is really nice too. You don't want to go to bed hungry, you want something delicious and a little different, but you also don't want to eat too much before bed. GrubHub directed me to Sushi Tokyo, and I realized I have a Yen for sushi (pun intended). I ordered a variety of vegetarian rolls and the Moroccan cigars. Everything was delicious, and they sent an ample amount of sweet soy syrup and spicy mayonnaise. The cigars were well-seasoned and crispy, the fried onion roll was like a Japanese French's onion casserole, the sweet potato avocado tempura roll was crunchy and not one bit greasy, and the Gorgeous Roll, with portabello, avocado, asparagus, avocado, and cashews was perfection on my palate. I used to go to Sushi Tokyo all the time for the fact that they're the only kosher sushi place that stays open late. The food was okay, and already overpriced for it's level of quality and atmosphere. Every time my friends and I go we always leave smelling like fishy sushi. What really pushed me over the edge and impacted my decision to stop going there was once they raised the prices to almost DOUBLE! They took off their dinner specials and increased prices on things that don't even make sense. This is the second time they increased prices on their menu and I won't stand for it. After we finished eating we asked the waitress for a discount and she laughed and rolled her eyes in our faces. She was very obnoxious and disgusting to all of us. We usually go here once in a while since they have very good vegan friendly rolls but today made me never want to go there again . First it's on a Friday and they had one waitress . It took us forever to get our order in that's only after flagging her down multiple times . Just to get a better understanding, the time we seating they only had two other tables taken so it's not hard to acknowledge us and take our order . After about 10 min waiting thats when more people arrived and the place started getting busy . The one waitress was walking around and seemed lost or confused and forgot to get other people's orders . Then after we flagged her down to tell her we still didn't get our other two rolls , she came back with two fish rolls ( we are vegan ) and obviously didn't order any fish . By the time our second portion of our order came , it was all cold and soggy . Meanwhile while we were eating our cold food I saw the sushi guy sneeze twice without covering his mouth and right next to other customers food ! I mentioned it to the cashier and he said he's sorry but the guy was new and should know better . I'm so disappointed and wish not even a dollar was ever spent there . After the slow service and sneezing on food I will not suggest this place to anyone . We must of been lucky the previous times but now the thought that they don't hold their chefs accountable for sneezing on food makes my stomach turn . What a waste of money . read more
