I think Sushi X is a pretty good Japanese restaurant. The fish is great and so is all the food that we can order from the kitchen as well. Although my only issue is that should be more sushi rolls to choose from, they only have a couple on the list and for the price of this all-you-can-eat, it should be more variety. The quality of the sushi was horrible. Some of the rolls were okay, but some of the sushi was a little on the stinky side. Also, I brought my 9 year old son with me, and they charged him the adult price, because he was 4 feet tall. The service was terrible. At the time we ate, there were only two hostesses/waitresses. The quality of sushi is horrendous, the tuna was rotten, nasty smelling filthy and so low grade, I could not believe they were serving it to people. Went there last night for the first time. Because it was a Friday night, the price was a bit higher than M-Thurs. at $23.99. There were 3 of us celebrating a birthday and it was a great choice. Service was friendly and fast, food came out quickly and was tasty and fresh. The shumi and calamari appetizers came in very small portions (with delicious dipping sauces) - but that's fine as we wanted to have room for sushi and sashimi. And of course, you can order more if you like. The house salad had a wonderful dressing and the sushi, sashimi, and rolls were decent size and all very good. They have a nice, varied selection of hot and cold appetizers and special roles along with the standard sushi choices. There's a choice of ginger or green tea ice cream or fried bananas for desert included as well. Oh yes - it's BYOB, too. No need to bring an opener, they do it for you and provide wine glasses. It may not be the most elegant or gourmet Japanese restaurant in the area, but it's friendly, fun, clean, has good food, and is a tremendous value. Can't beat it! I've been here on several occasions, mostly on a weekend. The price here is about $25, however, it is all you can eat. The sushi tasted great and they have a great variety. Ok, so the price is decent for all you can eat, sushi is also decent. The service is maybe the worst service I've ever experienced in a restaurant. I was a waiter for over a year and if I ever treated a customer the way I was treated I would have been fired on the spot. They are extremely rude and answer you with attitude. They must not understand we are paying them, to eat. Asked for a refill of water from 4 servers that completely ignored us. Finally the 5th server came with a pitcher and filled us up. I would come back only because it's one of the few all you can eat sushi places around but the service is terrible. I have been here many times and not had a problem. My recent visit is by far the worst experience I have ever had at a restaurant. My friend and I came here last week to sit, eat good sushi and catch up. When we walked in, the hostess said we can sit where ever so we did. We were not given menus, we had to go and get them ourselves. When I looked over at the hostess, she was PLAYING A GAME ON HER IPAD. Then another employee came over and asked if it was ok that he turn the lights off so he coude take pictures for Uber eats. We were eating in the dark. Then my friend and I started getting full so we started to slow down. The hostess assumed we were done with out asking and decided to charge us the extra fee for uneaten sushi. We argued the bill stating that we were not done, that we had to help ourselves to menues because she was too busy with a game and we ate in the dark. This place is absolutely HORRIBLE!! I went there with a group of five other people on a Saturday night and the food was good. The next day I started feeling a little nauseous but went to bed and thought I just needed sleep. Monday came and I was at work and all of the sudden I started throwing up and came down with a fever. I had to leave work earlier. I called all of the other people that I went out with Saturday night and they ALL were sick. My husband was throwing up so much we think he had a case of salmonella poisoning. NEVER GO TO THIS PLACE THEY ARE NOT CLEAN AND WHO KNOWS WHAT KIND OF FISH THEY USE!!! While the food is only ok, the service is horrible. There is one waitress who does not know the meaning of service with a smile. In fact she is quite rude. She doesn't speak English very well and if you ask her to repeat herself she gets even more rude. My friends and I have ventured into the place a few times only because of their All You Can Eat ($22 on weekends, $20 on weekdays). But after our last venture there we will not be back. This time after ordering one they told me they will not do anymore. Awful service!!! As soon as we sat down we clearly upset them. I thought maybe they had just opened since they were sitting in their coats, but they remained in their coats the entire meal. When dropping our food the waitress slammed every plate down as hard as she could, clearly she was very annoyed with us, she than picked up my napkin and threw it across the table to make room for an additional plate to be slammed. When me and my friend looked at each other in disgust she scolded us, yelling that she can't put a plate down with a napkin in the way. After the awful waitress stomped away, another one started walking over, I made the epic mistake of looking up towards her- she stopped in her tracks, threw her hands in the air, and yelled (while still in her coat) "WHAT?!?" For some reason I thought I could reason with this one and explain how the other one threw a napkin, she literally was so annoyed that we were speaking to her, and had a reaction of "uhh ok well sorry" we should have just got up and left then and there but regrettably stayed for the under seasoned, greasy food. Tried forcing the all you can eat on my wife and her sister (wife being pregnant) and told us if that bc she was pregnant they would make an exception but if her sister didn't want it they would have to separate our tables! So in the end, my sister in law ended up getting the all you can eat so we can eat together. Fish was bad, service was bad. When we asked for our check, after only ordering some apps and couple rolls each, they told us that we would have to pay extra for the "pieces" we left behind. These were not sushi rolls, it was some rice and soy paper. I have been to other ALL YOU CAN EAT sushi spots and left actual roll pieces behind and not a word was said. I don't have problem with adult's price and the weekend's additional charge because many restaurants do that. However, charging the full price for kids due to their HEIGHT...thought that was unheard of. We had 10 ppl in our group and two were kids, who are in 2nd grade. Didn't know Sushi X is charging kids for their HEIGHT!! If you have a kid skinny but tall and don't have much of appetite, don't go here....because they will charge you the full price of adult for a kid with height taller than 4 ft. Never seen a restriction for height taller than 4 ft except the water park. This restaurant should have mentioned this on their menu. Food was okay, but couple of the menu listed items were out and they didn't bother to tell us. Once we inquired them that we didn't get it, then they told us they didn't have it. The service is okay, somewhat slow at times, but it is understandable considering the size of the space and amount of business they handle at certain times of night. I have been to Sushi X many times. The rolls are always pretty good. I go there mostly to get sashimi because at $20/person on the weekend, it ends up being a great deal. The restaurant has come a long way since when they first opened. I was here one of their first weeks. They cut the sashimi into extremely small pieces, so we kept ordering more because it was certainly not filling. We ended up being in the restaurant for about 3 hours because the service was also ultra slow. But, the establishment has certainly made strides in service and presentation of food. Though, the last time I was there, during my second round of tuna sashimi, the sashimi was practically frozen. Oh well, it happens. The waitress didn't give us problem in wanting to send the sashimi back. All in all, I recommend this restaurant and will continue to eat there in the future because it is a great value for the quality and quantity. read more

I was not impressed at all. The minute we walked in the door I knew it was going to be an interesting evening. The girl who greeted us was very stoic she never smiled, I watched her the whole time it appeared she was angry and didn't want to be there, I made a very loud comment to my friends about her smiling so she would notice but instead she continued to be annoyed or shall I say inconvenienced. Then she tried to sit us in a corner where we had no room the people behind us wouldn't move in so I asked for a different table, they had nothing else so we were forced to sit at the table in front of the kitchen. The whole time we were eating I was looking into a kitchen, it was awful...it's not right to have a table in the view of the kitchen. Otherwise the food was great and it was all you could eat. I would have given this review three stars but that one individual just made me write this review. I have never written one but felt my experience should b shared so no one has to experience what we did. I will never go there again and will not recommend it to a soul. read more
