Service is pretty good and ambience was all right. I like that they have a variety of rolls, but we absolutely loved their house salad. It was unique with the canned pineapple. It also had beets, avocado, and a really good miso vinaigrette. The California roll is pretty good. I did not like the spicy tuna. It was very fishy and it also wasn't spicy. The cucumber roll was delicious, but I'm kind of boring like that.

A local favorite for north end folks. Sushi is always fresh and presentation is good. Servers are friendly and attentive, and the chefs ensure the quality standards meet your expectations. Located in a strip mall across the parking lot from Sprouts Market.

I've been coming to Sushi Zen for 10 years, not exaggerating, and they always provide high quality, consistent, delicious food. The seafood is always fresh and flavorful; the Hawaiian poke is my absolute favorite, it's so flavorful and spicy but not overwhelmingly so. You can also get the poke don which is the poke served over sushi rice. Speaking of the rice it is always ON POINT! It's well seasoned and skillfully cooked; not just overcooked sticky rice. The chirashi is another favorite. Pretty much everything comes with miso and a salad, the dressing delicious. As for rolls, I love the Salmon Lemon roll the most, as well as the Crouching Tuna Hidden Shrimp. It's not a huge restaurant and the decor is clean and simple, but it's almost always busy. The lead sushi chef is an absolute delight with an elephant's memory! He recognizes me and my spouse every time we come in and asks after the other if one of us comes in alone. And every farewell is, "see you tomorrow!"

Looking for a good sushi place, I went onto Yelp to find one close to where we were vacationing. Sushi Zen came up with great ratings so my family and I decided to give it a try. We came in around dinner time and the place was already starting to fill up. Walking in it felt very cozy and it was nicely decorated. To the left you have the sushi bar that you can easily see your sushi being made. And to the right were the tables. We were seated immediately and looked at the menu right away. As far as the sushi goes, they gave you a piece of paper where you could designate what you want. And for the other dishes, you can order off the menu. They had everything from your typical sushi to chicken katsu to veggie croquettes with specials written out on their board. For starters we tried Tamago (sweet egg), Unagi (fresh water eel), and Veggie Croquette. All were delicious, but my favorite would have to be the Unagi. Next up our main course. I opted for the Spider Roll (deep fried soft shell crab, avocado, cucumber, tobiko, spicy mayo, and radish sprouts). My daughter got the kids meal "San" which came with tempura udon and 3 pieces of a California roll. My son being a non-sushi eater got the chicken katsu that was accompanied by miso soup and rice. I really liked my dish. The soft shell crab was crunchy and flavorful. My daughter enjoyed her kids meal as she had eaten nearly everything. My son was surprised by the size of his dish and could not finish half of it so of course he ended up having to box it up for leftovers. He said that it was okay. When I asked him why, he said because there was no katsu sauce with it, which is understandable. Now onto dessert....we got 3: Tempura Ice Cream, Tempura Brownie with Ice Cream, and Mochi Ice Cream (coffee flavor). They were hands down so delicious. The crunchy texture of both the brownie and the outer layer of the tempura was amazing. I would highly recommend. The coffee mochi ice cream was the same as others we have tried. I would certainly want to come back and try out their lunch specials.

We stopped in here with friends on a weekday for dinner. They open at 5 PM, we got there a few min before 5 PM, and there were several ppl waiting outside already. We were a table of 7, and got seated right away. They do not have happy hour here anymore. We were all very happy with all the sushi we ordered, from the rolls, to the sashimi, everyone in the group enjoyed the food. Prices were typical. Overall, still a good experience getting sushi here.

Great sushi! The wait took a little longer than I expected but it was worth it. Spent 95 dollars on 10 rolls.

We came in the evening after day 2 of Geekfest and it was pretty busy inside. Luckily there was a spot open for two so we were seated and given menus. The inside is a bit dim, there were lots of tables with chairs or booth seats throughout, and there was even bar seating as well. My boyfriend ordered tonkotsu ramen and crunchy salmon roll as well as takoyaki to share while I got their red volcano tonkotsu and a Thai iced tea. I noticed there was a Japanese customer who spoke with one of the waitresses and she spoke Japanese back and it was cool to see and hear that! I wonder if the owners are Japanese as well as it's rare to find actual Japanese owned restaurants. The service here was friendly, courteous and they did check in every so often. The choice of music playing was quiet cafe music which was interesting but it was so hard to hear. My Thai iced tea came first then the takoyaki. Afterwards, our ramen bowls came not too long after that and the sushi roll came in last. I am so happy to say that the takoyaki was the perfect ratio of batter, octopus, and sauces on top. The ramen broth was hearty and smooth. I loved how spicy my red volcano tonkotsu was especially because I love things extremely spicy and it was definitely a fantastic ramen for spicy lovers. My boyfriend said he was very happy with his roll and ramen. He usually doesn't order ramen too often especially on a hot day but he said he was happy he did as it was one of the better ones he's had. My Thai iced tea was the right amount of sweetness and the perfect thing to sip on while handling my spicy ramen. I definitely want to come back to try their other selections.

If you're anywhere near Mill Creek and love sushi, do yourself a favor and go to Wasabi Bay…read more I genuinely can't say enough good things about this place. The sashimi is exceptional--always incredibly fresh, beautifully prepared, and the cuts are so generous. Every bite tastes clean, rich, and high-quality... exactly what you hope for but rarely find this consistently. My personal favorites? The Chirashi bowl is absolutely incredible, and I'm obsessed with their shrimp & veggie tempura and fried calamari appetizers--perfectly cooked, crispy, and seriously addictive. What really sets Wasabi Bay apart, though, is the experience. The staff is warm, attentive, and you can tell they truly care. On multiple visits, they've surprised me with a complimentary side dish--such a small gesture, but it says everything about how they treat their customers. This is the kind of spot you end up craving and recommending to everyone you know. Whether you're a sushi regular or just getting into it, Wasabi Bay is a must-visit.
