Located in the Santa Fe Plaza area, Sushi8 was a decent place for some basic rolls. They are located in one of the indoor mall areas that I had never been before, but there was a dumpling Café and a Boba spot right next to the sushi. We ordered to go, but I totally would've hung out in this area. I will know we ordered online and our order was delayed about 15 minutes past what was posted. The rules were very basic, but they were good. I wish they would've had more sauce on them. The portions were great, a solid rice to fillings ratio.

Based on a quick take out dinner, it was okay! Ordered a Sushi Regular takeout and it was surprisingly good. I think the sushi rice flavor was good, which makes or breaks the sushi. The fish tasted fresh. I was not sure what to expect from a sushi place in the high desert, but thumbs up! Cost ($20) was about what we pay in Hawaii for something similar...I guess they do have to ship the fresh fish a bit further than usual! A casual place with sit down dining, serve alcohol, and even has a small sushi bar!

We found this spot by luck. It's inside of an indoor strip mall type building. Upstairs and with window seats, some of the best sushi awaits in this small space. From basic rolls to specialty, appetizers to hibachi and sake, Sushi 8 answers your calling. AND you know it's gotta be good if THEE Guy Fieri has his face stamped on the wall.

Nice little place at the back of one of the shopping plazas. The employees were very friendly and fast service and checked on us many times. Very clean restaurant and would highly recommend coming in for some very good sushi and Shashimi. The roll was cut into 10 pieces and a nice big roll.

Recommended by the person at the front desk of our hotel, who said it was by far the best sushi in the city, we decided to try it out as it's within walking distance from the hotel. The biggest challenge was finding the restaurant because it's at the far end of a complex, but fortunately there is a sign in front of the complex. We eat a lot of sushi while at home, and all 4 of us thought our meals were really, really good. To start, the Sake was really good and they gave each of us a nice amount along with a shot glass to drink it out of. The day we were there was the first day they had their license to sell Sake. One interesting thing was that instead of a glass of water they gave us a bottle of water, the first time any of us have experienced that, but the water was good too. The service was really good, and one of the great things was that one in our group asked to add a couple things to her dish and not have others that are additions already on the menu, and they accommodated her with no problem or up charge. The store manager came by to ask if everything was okay and the cook also came out to make sure everything was good and that the changes in the one dish was acceptable. If you're in Santa Fe and want sushi, we highly recommend Sushi8

Good service and the bento teriyaki beef was excellent. The sushi was very good and I really like the miso soup as well.

We definitely preferred to European style with almond milk, but I think that we would like the more traditional ones if they were made with milk. We also really liked the brownies, though the Aztec brownie + ice cream gave me an intense caffeine overload--my fault! Our first time here we each got an ice cream, both with fudge and whipped cream. As I said, while the Aztec was delicious, it really was too much for me, but I still ate the whole thing! I was surprised by how much I enjoyed my husband's mint chocolate chip--the peppermint flavor was real--it tasted like they soaked the milk with peppermint leaves to make it, and it was so refreshing! We liked the chocolate truffles and bon bons so much that we ended up buying them as gifts. Our favorite flavors were the sage/goat cheese, peanut butter bar, Aztec round, bourbon pecan, and lavender. Finally, the service was outstanding. The servers were so kind, patient, and helpful. Our first trip the server took the time to write each flavor on our box of chocolates so that we would know what was what. The second server listened as we decided which treats were for which friends, and he wrote their names on each box before wrapping them. So very kind!

The quality of the product definitely stands out. Unfortunately, the service did not match the standard of the chocolates. When we asked about the different varieties and flavor differences to help decide what to purchase, the response felt dismissive and unwelcoming. For a specialty chocolate shop, customers should be able to expect knowledgeable and engaging guidance, especially when navigating a premium selection. Instead, it felt as though our questions were an inconvenience rather than an opportunity to share expertise and enhance the experience. The lack of warmth and customer engagement significantly took away from what should have been a memorable experience.

I stopped in last week and ordered a black forest cake slice to go. I was thinking that a little sugar with coffee in the morning was good. I also knew that Gayle wouldn't snack on it as she doesn't like fruit and chocolate mixed together in a dessert. The "to-go" line was a little slow, mostly due to a combination of chatter and specialty coffee drink preparation. But I wasn't much in a hurry.
