I have been here twice now, once in October last year and had the tonkotsu spicy ramen which was pretty good. I came at night, it was pretty busy but quick service. I went again today for a late lunch and enjoyed some aspects of the meal. For one, it was just me and two other tables who closed out right when I was walking in. I was quickly sat, and proceeded to have pretty slow service to start. Once a server finally came back around 5 minutes later, he brought some delicious spicy/sweet peanuts to start. Returned less than a minute later to take my order, then proceeded to have great service afterward.. let me start with the spicy baby cucumbers: pretty tasty and a large serving, however I didn't think they were that spicy. The chile oil used is mostly oily with some not so spicy Chiles used (that could just be my heat tolerance) but nonetheless, they were delicious. The hot tea was fresh and he brought it out with water, which I appreciated.. I was however slightly disappointed in the Dan Dan Noodles, I didn't take a picture just because it honestly was served not too appetizing or picture perfect like most of the previous reviews. Everything was mixed together, and the meat was all in the bottom under all of the noodles. The flavor was pretty good, but I didn't get the normal Szechuan flavor or spiciness that I've had in the past at other places. I do love the fresh noodles, but the overall dish was a little underwhelming. I would have liked it to be a little more presentable, along with more of a noteworthy flavor other than meaty broth with some chile oil (again more on the oily side not so much spice). Overall, the experience was decent and good service. I will come back to try something else and maybe it just wasn't a dish for me. read more

Really sweet little noodle shop right off Cordova Road, just up the strip from Trader Joe's. We went on a Friday evening before a theater performance, and the service was quick and pleasant. My companion loved the potstickers, which came out nicely crisped on the flat sides and were filled with generous amounts of tasty goodness. I tried a noodle dish that was perfectly prepared and presented. It was not only delicious, but I took almost half of it home to enjoy the next day for lunch, when it tasted just as good on reheating. We both had the Thai iced tea, and they do a fine job with those drinks as well. Can't wait to go back and try other items on the menu next time we're in that area of town. read more

Everything we ordered came at once and every dish was ice cold. They should consider not delivering all the courses at once. When I suggested that to the waiter, he was non apologetic and made an excuse there were two kitchens ( not sure how that contributed to everything being cold.) we were the only table in the restaurant so their excuses were ridiculous. I have heard about Fun Noodle Bar in Albuquerque for some time now. We decided to finally give their second location in Santa Fe a try. The restaurant is in a strip mall away from the plaza area, so parking isn't too bad. The service was quick and attentive. We ordered bao and jalapeño bombs to start. The jalapeno bomb is basically a jalapeño popper with sushi sauces on it. It was good though. The bao were amazing. They were soft and so delicious. We made a quick pitstop here driving from Colorado Springs and just got too hungry and couldn't wait to eat at Albuquerque, and what a disappointment. Steam bun is dry with no flavor. Ramen is mushy. The service was amazing, they seated 13 of us in record time, There wasn't a big wait between ordering and food being delivered but we also never felt rushed even though we were there past closing time. Our server was kind and fun, we had a baby girl with us who could not take her eyes off him and he was gentle and playful with her. The place is clean and busy. Staff are friendly and know both English and Chinese. Lots of great food here. When you order choose between white rice, fried rice, and pan fried noodles. Service was to the point and they seemed like they were rushing to get us out the door, yet there was another hour before closing. I ordered the Jalapeño Chicken, and it was more like popcorn chicken, because the pieces were very small. The taste was good but I felt like I got the crumbs!!! Cold Chinese food? hmm not very good. I leave them 3 stars because it is the day before New Year's and I want to think that it was a mistake just with our order. I just graded down a star due to not much atmosphere and we got our food immediately, so no time to visit and enjoy the sake before eating. We recently tried takeout from this spot and overall had a mixed experience. I ordered the beef fried rice and it was delicious! I added a bit of garlic at home to kick up the flavor even more, and it hit the spot perfectly. We chose takeout because the delivery fee was super cheap, and we couldn't make it out with the kids' bedtime creeping up. The food took a little longer to arrive than we hoped, but it was still warm and ready to eat. My husband went for the shrimp tempura but was a little bummed to find it had a bunch of veggies mixed in. For the price, we were expecting a more generous portion of shrimp. Despite this, we'll definitely give this place another try--perhaps dining in next time to get the full experience. Spicy cucumbers- unevenly chopped so some pies are more crunchy than others, flavor was not very deep. Roasted Soup- server could not tell me what the roasted part was. She offered pork as a option, then told me pork was not a option, 2 pieces of broccoli and about 7-10 leaves of spinach. This place needs to be knocked down a few stars. I don't know if there's just limited options here in Santa Fe - or what the deal is, but this is very mediocre ramen. For starters, I've had better ramen for cheaper dozens of times. Secondly, the presentation is terrible. So much broth, very little meat/veggies, and there were undercooked noodles I found several times throughout my bowl. I attached a picture of it - undercooked chewy clumps that are stuck together. There is something about freshly made noodles. On a cold day in Santa Fe, a hot soup surely satisfies the tummy. I ordered the beef noodle soup, the broth is excellent and the noodles tasted fresh. It's a staple dish amongst Asian restaurants. It was average--not spectacular but also not a particular let down. I ordered the Youpo noodles and ended up liking it way more than I expected. It had an almost clean flavor profile to it and was light. It wasn't too salty and you could taste the sweetness of the daikon. I saw them making/pulling the noodles fresh inside the restaurant so I was really glad I tried the noodles. The Kung Pao Chicken was really not spicy at all, but it was flavorful and came with quite a few veggies so I was happy with that. The Mongolian Beef only came with two pieces of broccoli and the fried rice we added on came in a pretty small container, so we were less happy with that.
