    Volcano roll
    Clara G.

Came for a quick bite! I was seated right away. They provided great recommendations and service. The restaurant is small but has plenty of tables and is well kept. I got some edemame and a volcano roll. It was so delicious and fresh. Will definitely return as I want to try the bento box and other specials!

This sushi spot was such a pleasant surprise. The place is beautifully decorated, very clean, and has a simple but inviting atmosphere that makes you feel comfortable right away. The service truly stands out. Everyone is extremely polite, attentive, and efficient without being overwhelming. The food is fresh and flavorful, exactly what you hope for when you go out for Japanese cuisine. The fish tastes clean and high quality, the rolls are well prepared, and everything arrives nicely presented. You can really tell they take pride in what they serve. It's the kind of place where you keep ordering because everything tastes good and comes out quickly. What I liked most is that it's not pretentious, just good, honest food in a relaxed environment with a nice vibe. Perfect for a casual meal with friends or family when you want to enjoy good sushi without spending a fortune. Definitely a place I would come back to.

Found this new spot and decided to give it a try. It was a Saturday late afternoon and we arrived there was only one other table seated so we were able to freely choose where to sit. The service was great but overall the food was lacking. The pork belly in the bao buns was a bit overcooked which was a shame because the flavor was pleasant. The crispy nigiri (crispy rice) was okay. The rice was way too hot and it made the tuna on top a bit warm. The hamachi jalapeno was a huge let down. It seemed like they didn't put any salt in the sauce, it was so bland. The jalapeños were too thick and it was very overpowering. The drinks were refreshing and well made. We ordered a sake mojito and a cocktail made with sake and cucumber. We didn't stay for dinner.

We love Sushiato! We eat here at least once a week, and my teens absolutely love it. The food is always fresh and delicious, and the atmosphere is warm and family friendly. Great service and always a great experience.

We started with Pork belly bao, chicken bao, salmon tuna tiradito, I have to be honest, taste of the pork belly itself was good but not amazing good, bao was a bit dry and broken, kind of pieces put together but not as a dish, don't know how to explain, chicken was crispy perfect tender but same thing no as a "dish", tiradito was also ok, sauce was decent and cut of the fish was OK, I did not get the wow, need to keep trying feeling, service was OK, when we arrived nobody greet us, was only 1 server and 3 tables still not served, not sure if understaffed , but was 2 at the sushi chef area and didn't even say Hello or great us, we feel unattended, once the server arrived few minutes later he was polite and service was good. Place is really pretty decorated, simple modern, music was good enough to have a nice conversation, prices were ok for Doral, we ordered all regular but notice they have a lot of good lunch offers worth giving them another try, maybe options I selected were not their best? Not sure, maybe will try for lunch deals. My son ordered the Ohana roll, they liked it was a fried version and they said was just OK. They also provide free Thai donuts for a Google review. I must say decor was really nice, maybe I expected more because of the nice decor, that was very nice!

    Great ambiance!

Very creative and nice decor. The rolls and bao buns delicious! Great service also. Try their specials rolls. I will come back for lunch specials.

First time visiting, drove down from Davie, as we walked in no friendly faces at all, i had to ask the guy that was at the entrance what do, do i sit down or do i wait, and he made a hand gesture like pointing at the tables, I was like, Do I seat down? And he just nodded his head, as we sat ourselves to a table we smiled at the sushi cooks at the bar, but not even a hi, so far noone welcomed us, 3-4 mins passed then the lady waiter came by, again zero smiles, zero welcoming, just you know what you going to order? We told her it was our first time and still no welcome! Just ok we have specials 3 for one. So sad that a place as nice and new has zero customer service. The sushi was ok, the sake was great! The place was small, beautiful decorated, but was cold just like their demeanors. Sadly I will not go back. A smile goes a long way! I hope the change this. We ate the Santo Pecado, Dracula and another one that we didn't liked.

The Cuatro Leches dessert was superb! I will return for sure!

We kicked things off with the miso soup, and it was absolutely delicious. Honestly, I could've had a bowl (or two) all by itself! let's not forget about the salad! And baby... you cannot eat that salad without drenching it in their ginger dressing. Chef's kiss! For our meals, we ordered the hibachi shrimp and steak with fried rice, and I went with the hibachi chicken with fried rice. One of my favorite parts about hibachi is the experience, and this chef had the entire table laughing from beginning to end. The food was great, but the entertainment made it even better. Because really... who doesn't love dinner and a show? To wash it all down, we ordered an Old Fashioned and a fruity sake cocktail (I wish I could remember the name because it was so good! ). The restaurant was clean, the staff was friendly, the service was quick, and it wasn't crowded, which was definitely a plus. The prices were also very reasonable for the amount of food you get. Overall, if you're looking for delicious hibachi, great service, and a fun dining experience while you're in Florida, I'd definitely recommend giving Japan Inn a try! I ordered the hibachi steak with fried rice, specifically asking for the rice extra crispy. I even reminded the waitress because I had a feeling it wouldn't come out that way. Sure enough, when it arrived, the rice wasn't crispy at all... just like the regular side I've had before. They took it back, and there I was waiting longer for my food. Then things took a turn. On one of my last bites of the fried rice, something literally poked my mouth. When I pulled it out, it was a long, thin wooden stick! almost like a toothpick, but not exactly. A wooden stick in my food? That instantly made me uncomfortable. What felt completely intentional due to the previous request, had me fearing for my safety! At that point, I just lost my appetite completely. I didn't even bother saying anything because I honestly didn't feel at ease anymore. I will NOT be returning.

The service was the bare minimum of hi, how are you, what do you want, and here you go. No pizzazz or anything memorable. Then the food. The food? Meh. I had actually arrived thinking that there was a happy hour or an all you can eat option, but neither existed, even after I researched online extensively, so that was a huge disappointment. I had to search hard to find rolls that weren't laid full of cream cheese, which, to me, essentially means "here is a roll with cream cheese to mask all of the icks flavors of the subpar fish that we are actually serving you and do not want you to be aware!" I ordered some nigiri, which tasted old, not fresh and on rice not treated correctly. Need I remind the YELP! Community??? Sushi is actually referring to the treatment of the sushi RICE and NOT the fish or ingredients on the nigiri or roll! So in this sense, Miyako Doral FAILED. I will admit, that this was one of the first sushi places that I had gone to when I first moved to Miami, not knowing the abysmal notion of what sushi is interpreted to mean here in south Florida. YUCK. Thank you for letting me know. SUSHI HERE SUCKS! Unless you want to pay an arm and a leg for true, pure and traditional types like at Omakai, ELYU or Shingo. Just. YUCK. I am from MN, a land locked state, and yet I know better sushi than the majority of locals here in SoFlo. It's wonderful because their entire digital menu has pictures which I appreciate SO much! We ordered the sampler for 2 (sushi pizza and croquettes), the 101 roll and the volcano roll. So, even though we ordered the sampler for 2, they brought us the sampler for 4 (which is $56). Because they already brought it to our table, we didnt want to waste anything and chose not to correct them. I'm not entirely sure how they got this wrong. However, everything was delicious. I was leery about the Asian crunch, but the walnuts added a nice mild earthy flavor to the tender salmon. The coquitos were very unique. I've never had fish and curry mustard before. The sushi pizza was fresh and crispy and the croquettes were tasty. While I won't complain about the flavors because everything was delicious, I will complain about the price point we didnt intend on spending. The 101 roll was unlike anything we've had before. A wonderful option for someone who doesnt want to go too heavy on carbs. I dont know how a plantain pairs with salmon and tempura shrimp, but it just works. A little salty, a little sweet, and a decent sized roll. The volcano roll is quite the attention grabber! Piled high with krab salad it turns a basic volcano roll into an extraordinary one. The Kani is fried which doesn't usually happen with volcano rolls and avocado is added to the top. Its a great twist on a classic and the textures are wonderful. Unfortunately, no one came to check on us during the duration of this meal, so it's a good thing we didn't need anything else. For an app, two rolls and 2 cans of diet coke, the total came to over $100. The price point is the only thing keeping me from giving this establishment 5 stars. I would give it 4.5 if Yelp allowed me because the quality is great as are the portion sizes.
