The start here was super friendly and took great care of us (party of 9). We went there for lunch on a Friday. It was not overly crowded but stayed busy. The restaurant sits in a cozy storefront in a shopping center but is decorated well, with custom art and nice finishes. The food was flavorful and plentiful, especially for the lunch pricing. Will definitely come back!

We love Sushiato! We eat here at least once a week, and my teens absolutely love it. The food is always fresh and delicious, and the atmosphere is warm and family friendly. Great service and always a great experience.

Found this new spot and decided to give it a try. It was a Saturday late afternoon and we arrived there was only one other table seated so we were able to freely choose where to sit. The service was great but overall the food was lacking. The pork belly in the bao buns was a bit overcooked which was a shame because the flavor was pleasant. The crispy nigiri (crispy rice) was okay. The rice was way too hot and it made the tuna on top a bit warm. The hamachi jalapeno was a huge let down. It seemed like they didn't put any salt in the sauce, it was so bland. The jalapeños were too thick and it was very overpowering. The drinks were refreshing and well made. We ordered a sake mojito and a cocktail made with sake and cucumber. We didn't stay for dinner.

Great ambiance!

Very creative and nice decor. The rolls and bao buns delicious! Great service also. Try their specials rolls. I will come back for lunch specials.

First time visiting, drove down from Davie, as we walked in no friendly faces at all, i had to ask the guy that was at the entrance what do, do i sit down or do i wait, and he made a hand gesture like pointing at the tables, I was like, Do I seat down? And he just nodded his head, as we sat ourselves to a table we smiled at the sushi cooks at the bar, but not even a hi, so far noone welcomed us, 3-4 mins passed then the lady waiter came by, again zero smiles, zero welcoming, just you know what you going to order? We told her it was our first time and still no welcome! Just ok we have specials 3 for one. So sad that a place as nice and new has zero customer service. The sushi was ok, the sake was great! The place was small, beautiful decorated, but was cold just like their demeanors. Sadly I will not go back. A smile goes a long way! I hope the change this. We ate the Santo Pecado, Dracula and another one that we didn't liked.

The Cuatro Leches dessert was superb! I will return for sure!

Was out shopping nearby and wandered in for lunch fully expecting the usual and instead found a…read moresurprisingly reasonable omakase in Doral (a sentence I didn't think I'd ever say). The starter omakase runs about $68. It was around seven courses plus dessert, and honestly, every dish pulled its weight. Bonus points to the server, who gave clear, thoughtful explanations. Menu-wise, don't expect a parade of rolls they're clearly nudging you toward the omakase experience. But if that's the goal, they're doing it right. All in all, a really enjoyable meal and one I'd happily circle back to, next time to explore more of the menu.

This spot is located in an unassuming shopping center where a Nicklaus building is, which is perfect for when you're in the mood to keep a low profile. It's a small, intimate restaurant with counter top seating and a few tables. From the moment we walked in, the folks chopped it up with us and made jokes, which is great because it broke the ice in a way that felt like you were amongst friends. Excellent service all around. We sat at one of the tables as we intended to do a lot of talking and didn't want to be noisy at the counter. We decided to take the recommendation of the staff and did the omakase express option and a sake sampler pairing with three different kinds. No notes here because everything was great, there were several "MMMM!" moments (wish I remembered what each bite was!) and the first sake we got (pictured) was fantastic. Would definitely buy it to have at home. Big shout out to Allie, who covered our table on her first day, was very cool and definitely helped steer the dinner in the right direction. If you're in the Doral area and in the mood for some quality Japanese, definitely stop by here!

It's wonderful because their entire digital menu has pictures which I appreciate SO much! We ordered the sampler for 2 (sushi pizza and croquettes), the 101 roll and the volcano roll. So, even though we ordered the sampler for 2, they brought us the sampler for 4 (which is $56). Because they already brought it to our table, we didnt want to waste anything and chose not to correct them. I'm not entirely sure how they got this wrong. However, everything was delicious. I was leery about the Asian crunch, but the walnuts added a nice mild earthy flavor to the tender salmon. The coquitos were very unique. I've never had fish and curry mustard before. The sushi pizza was fresh and crispy and the croquettes were tasty. While I won't complain about the flavors because everything was delicious, I will complain about the price point we didnt intend on spending. The 101 roll was unlike anything we've had before. A wonderful option for someone who doesnt want to go too heavy on carbs. I dont know how a plantain pairs with salmon and tempura shrimp, but it just works. A little salty, a little sweet, and a decent sized roll. The volcano roll is quite the attention grabber! Piled high with krab salad it turns a basic volcano roll into an extraordinary one. The Kani is fried which doesn't usually happen with volcano rolls and avocado is added to the top. Its a great twist on a classic and the textures are wonderful. Unfortunately, no one came to check on us during the duration of this meal, so it's a good thing we didn't need anything else. For an app, two rolls and 2 cans of diet coke, the total came to over $100. The price point is the only thing keeping me from giving this establishment 5 stars. I would give it 4.5 if Yelp allowed me because the quality is great as are the portion sizes. I'll definitely come back to try other options and probably do a better job of speaking up next time if my order is wrong.

The server left the enormous menu at the table even after food was served, leaving the table cramped. We waited 25 minutes for a check (on a weekday) The tables are so crammed together, even the servers have to squeeze in-between tables. They bump into you while you're eating, and even bump into each other. At some point a server was sweeping at my feet, pushing the dirty broom against my feet a couple times and didn't even apologize.... On top of this, the salmon was unseasoned and tiny af. The music was so loud my boyfriend and I couldn't hear each-other though he was right in front of me. Drinks were good but never again. It was so claustrophobic and chaotic. Very disorganized

I ordered the hibachi steak with fried rice, specifically asking for the rice extra crispy. I even reminded the waitress because I had a feeling it wouldn't come out that way. Sure enough, when it arrived, the rice wasn't crispy at all... just like the regular side I've had before. They took it back, and there I was waiting longer for my food. Then things took a turn. On one of my last bites of the fried rice, something literally poked my mouth. When I pulled it out, it was a long, thin wooden stick! almost like a toothpick, but not exactly. A wooden stick in my food? That instantly made me uncomfortable. What felt completely intentional due to the previous request, had me fearing for my safety! At that point, I just lost my appetite completely. I didn't even bother saying anything because I honestly didn't feel at ease anymore. I will NOT be returning.
