So I'm giving them a 5 star review even though they kind of messed up a little ; but the way they fixed it was more than amazing. First off our waiter Connor was nothing short of the perfect waiter. He wasn't pushy at all or hovering but was so accommodating & really knew the menu. We got the fire balls & ceviche to start & they were great. Super fresh and tasted good. I also like they have a picture book that accompanies the menu ; idk about you but that's definitely a cool plus to know what you're getting. I should add there wasn't a table open at this point though when we walked in there were. Our rolls took over 30 minutes to come out so we ended up taking them to go. Connor was very apologetic and informative as to the mishap & obviously it wasn't his fault. The manager came over & she was very nice & comped is some of our food as we were taking it to go. They have a BIG menu and I can easily return 10 times and still try new things. We both ordered one of their power bowls. I was very impressed. They offer four and I could not decide between all of them. Luckily depending on the fish you want that will help narrow it down. They were both 5 stars. We got the Iron Man and Hulk bowls. 11/12/2016 - Not your typical sushi. A very unique little quaint spot with a very interesting take on sushi. It is sushi with a latin fusion style. They have an extensive menu and even though we were a party of three, who ordered a few dishes, there is still much more on the menu to explore. During this visit, we ordered two appetizers, Tropical Tuna, spicy tuna over twice-friend plantains. There were 4 tostones with tuna on top ($16). It was a good dish but not worth the money. We also ordered Fire Balls, Goat cheese tempura balls with red tuna, guava ($12). This was delicious, very fresh and I just love guava. We all ordered different sushi. I had the Ceviche Roll, there were 10 pieces! I could not finish it all. The fried fish was still warm inside with avocado and shrimp on top. It had a great taste. I tried the Moon Roll that was ordered and next time, this is what I'm having. It came with walnuts and honey on top. So delicious! For dessert, we tried the Nutella Balls. when the dish came by, it wasn't as exciting as their sushi. It did come with vanilla ice cream. Tried sushiato out for the first time to catch up with my girlfriend. It was a quiet night, we were greeted and told to sit anywhere. No one ever came over so after 10 minutes I went to counter to see if we should order there, she said no she'd be right over. Once she finally came over to our table service was fine. We tried the guava roll, the moon roll, and volcano roll. We both were not fans of the volcano roll and could of definitely done without ordering that roll . We had asked for no masago on the volcano roll but it arrived with masago all in and on top of it. We did however really enjoy the guava and moon roll. This restaurant serves beer, wine, and sake cocktails. Overall the sushi was good but totally overpriced in my opinion. My experience here was just average at best. read more

I always joke about how I should get a membership card for this restaurant since I go there so often! Weston has always had a limited dining​ scene and having Sushiato here has changed the game plan for every weekend. The Sushi​ rolls are incredible not only because of their taste but because of their artisanal finish that makes the visit an excellent food experience. I am allergic to shellfish and the staff has always been extremely accommodating​ to me by tailoring some rolls so I could eat them. This is the one place I would go to eat sushi without feeling nervous or scared of having an allergic reaction so I thank them for that. Came here on a rainy Saturday night! No reservation but luckily seated right away. It's a cool little sushi place with Latin ties. Something so new and creative! The food was absolutely amazing! I think I saw this restaurant pop up on a foodie Instagram and I knew I had to try it! The ceviche was to die for!!! We also had the sushi tacos! I can't remember the names of the other rolls but all I can say is you won't be disappointed!!! The dessert was so bomb too!! The menu ranges from about 15 to 20 for dinner... the sushi rolls... were a little on the pricey side most of them close to 20... the sushi was good but most of their sushi choices had cream cheese in them. The only reason they get a 4* instead of 5* is because I think they're priced a little to high for how small the portions are. But if you don't mind the higher price then this is the best tasting sushi in Southwest broward. You can taste the difference in freshness compared to other locations. Top 3 worst experiences for sushi. Service was horrible, for the restaurant only having 6-7 tables in the entire place and having 2 servers, the service was horrendous. Our server never asked what we wanted to drink, after 15 minutes he came and asked what we wanted to order. We asked for a second fork and plates/napkins, which he told us we already had a fork on our plate, he brought us one napkin (keep in mind, we have a 2 year old). I never was offered a refill on my empty water cup. Never asked how we were doing, he was too busy rubbing the back of another server and talking to others besides the table he was waiting on. Food was pretty nasty. Both sushi rolls tasted bland and like nothing, I got a roll that was tempura style in which it solely tasted like the oil it was fried in. The roll was mushy. We had to ask for a to go box twice(I'd totally understand asking twice if he was busy but he literally only had 2 tables to take care of). do not order here if you're a vegan/ vegetarian. I ordered online, and was so hungry by the time it arrived I didn't even double check the dumplings to ensure they were in fact veggie (I usually do double check and this had to be the one time I didn't). They were pork. I've never accidentally eaten meat as a vegan and this was the most upsetting experience. I called to let them know what happened and they did apologize, as well as offered me a gift card or to send me more dumplings. Unfortunately, there was no way they could've fixed the situation because the damage had been done. Mix ups happen everyday -- but the distinction between meat and no meat is pretty large. read more

I tried out sushiato last weekend for the first time and I was fairly pleased. The waitress explained it as a fusion between Japanese and Latin cuisine. They have an extensive menu that even comes with a separate book with a photo of every single item on the menu. They brought out a small version of their sushiato salad in the beginning and it was so great. I ordered the sushi pizza and classic dragon roll and both were fresh and tasted great. The sushi pizza had a rice cake on the bottom so it had a crunchiness to it that I liked. The service is awesome. The waitress took her time explaining everything and checking in on us every so often. Finally we finished with Thai donuts which were delicious obviously. We had a wonderful time at this restaurant. It's perfect for a cute little date night. The place is very small but modern, the service was wonderful, there was a manager/owner(?) that was on top of EVERYTHING. She'd make sure that every table had everything they needed. They have a wide variety of appetizers and rolls and they give you a small album so that you can see how all of them look like and see which one you prefer. Which comes in very handy because everything sounded good. As they say, it's a Latin spin on classic sushi. A lot of the rolls seem to have fruits and seem to be on the sweeter side. When it came to appetizers, my personal favorite was the tuna mango twist, the tuna felt fresh and the mixture of flavors was very balanced and provided a good feeling in every bite. The sushiato tacos had both a salmon taco and a tuna one, the salmon one is nothing to write home about, in this case I preferred the tuna one. The rolls are overall very good, our choices were very varied to make sure to try different flavors. The sushiato one was the winner of the evening definitely for us. Just had a lovely dining experience at Sushiato! Sweet little sushi joint. We ordered the Maui, Rocket, and Adam rolls, as well as the Andretti's Taste roll that was on special. The Adam roll is a really tasty riceless roll that we enjoyed, and the Maui was by far our favorite. We thought the Rocket was o-k but that's down to personal preference--we didn't like the addition of plantain inside the roll as much as we thought we would, but we were still glad to have tried it. The ambiance is nice, it's super clean (including the bathroom, which smells amazing..is that a weird thing to say? just putting it out there). Our waiter Connor was amazing-- attentive, prompt, and super friendly. We were a little sticker-shocked when we got our bill ($100 for four special rolls, two miso soups, and a dessert) so I would say these rolls are on the pricier side, but I think it's reasonable especially when compared to other sushi we've had in South Florida (other than Imperial/Imasa sushi, this is the only other sushi place we've liked and we've tried MANY)-- I think it's well worth it and just something to be aware of. The fish is ridiculously fresh, the menu is outstandingly creative, the owner is already a friend of mine, the servers are quick, kind, funny and helpful, the atmosphere is quaint, but stellar, and the food... the food is absolutely to die for. We have literally tried almost every roll on the menu and nothing disappointed us. Their non roll items will blow your mind too... the Sushi Pizza (my personal favorite), to the Sushiato Salad, the Tropical Tuna, Ceviche, Fried Rice.. All amazing! I've been here a couple of times now and I really like this place! Sushiato is tucked away in a small strip mall in Weston near Chipotle and honestly I wouldn't have expected such a great place to be there. The restaurant itself is pretty small so not good for big parties but the interior is modern and chic. Sushiato is the latest place I have seen that blends Japanese & Latin flavors and I thought they did a great job creating some original menu items as a result. I really enjoyed the Fire Balls appetizer which contained - Goat cheese tempura balls with red tuna, guava or pineapple sauce. I loved the Tuna Salmon Deluxe which is a riceless roll with Crab salad, avocado and asparagus wrapped in tuna or salmon with onion dressing on top. The Adam roll was awesome. It is another riceless roll with Shrimp tempura, crab, avocado and cream cheese wrapped in tuna with Poseidon salad (wakame & crab mix) eel sauce on top. The service was fast and efficient. You can also order wine, beer, and sake here and a bottle of Nigori was a perfect compliment to the meal. We'll definitely be back as this little place is one of the best in the area. read more
