Great sushi in Rockwall. Me and mom got 5 rolls. We added cream cheese to the tiger roll, my only complaint is it was a dollar more but they didn't add much :( All the rolls we got tasted very fresh and they came out quick. Closed Sunday the 25th of November as far as we knew. Came in town around 7:30pm and drove up, closed before 8pm. Thought hours were until 9pm. No sign on door to say closed on the 25th of Nov. Sushi in this place was really good. Environment not so much. I really enjoyed the sushi here. Everything I tasted was great. Tuna, salmon, snapper sashimi was typical but the salmon here had a better consistency than other places around. I also tried the sexy, shogun and California rolls. The sexy and shogun rolls are cucumber wrapped which has become a favorite of mine. Sushi box pulled them off without a hitch. (See pics). The pricing is also good very reasonable. The only thing keeping this from 5 stars is the ambiance/environment. They have only two tables capable of seating more than two people. I wanted to believe this place was an awesome small sushi spot based on the reviews, but that was not my experience. I ordered the Black Pearl Roll, Tuna roll, and Salmon roll. All cuts of fish seemed very fatty and un-uniform which gave a very odd texture, very chewy. On top of the that, the seaweed used for the rolls was old, tough, and stringy. You could barely even bite through it. Save your money and go to Basil Cafe. read more

Right when you walk into this place you're greeted with smiles and a hello. The atmosphere is very chill and calming. Sushi is priced just right. The quality of the sushi is also excellent. I am extremely shocked by all the high reviews here. These folks must have only had grocery store sushi before, or were paid to review positively. The wife and I ordered a salmon roll, rainbow roll and yellowtail nigiri. The salmon and tuna both smelled and had the texture of canned fish. The yellowtail was inedible it was so fishy and stale.
