I came here for lunch and I really enjoyed it. It was really good. I'm telling you right now get the beef platter. Mix with the chicken teriyaki comes a little side salad and rice. That was really really good. I love the little fried chicken and they also had edamame's. The sushi is really delicious because I like that it's not overly full of rice. It's a nice thin layer. It's more sashimi piece. This is definitely a must check out. It is a small spot so the seats can be filled out pretty quickly, but they do work very fast. And very friendly. read more

Saw some vids of this place on TikTok and thought I'd give it a try. I called in a to go ordered and the communion was solid and clear. I ordered their popular big bento box and it's a bit overrated in my opinion. All the meats tasted okay nothing too mind blowing but they also were a bit dry. I felt they were definitely stingy with the portion of beef they gave me. They did give me a good amount of sauces and condiments but no napkins or utensils. I also did get a rainbow sushi roll and I honestly enjoyed that better than the bento box. Overall I'd rate the bento box a 5/10 not bad but not the best, this place is better at making sushi. I'm glad I tried it but won't go out of my way for it. read more

We placed a big order and everything was good. I got the mango avocado salad and I would definitely go back to get it again. I wish they had more vegetarian options. We also asked for extra spicy mayo and eel sauce with our $150 order and they only have us two each. We had to ask for two more and they didn't seem too happy about that. read more

I've been coming here for years, can't believe I had never reviewed them before. Sushiholic is always on point. Their fish is fresh, the rolls are massive compared to other sushi places, and the service is great. It's a small place, but I've never had an issue with finding a seat (you can seat yourself). The only downside is yes, there are no bathrooms for patrons. This has only been an issue once when my husband and I came for lunch and our son needed to use the restroom (we walked over to Ross). Overall this place is still 5 stars, because of their consistency and quality. read more

I go here mainly for pickup these days. You can order directly from them by calling and it's cheaper than anything listed online. It's reasonable pricing for these days. I've never felt like I'm getting overcharged. I've also never been disappointed in my order. I've done various rolls, desserts, noodles, and bentos. All pretty solid. It's a smaller place, but it's usually not overly busy or too loud or anything. I'd eat there, but I prefer bringing food home to eat and watch some shows. Sushi nights are usually an at-home affair for me. Overall, I'll be back. I've gone at least once or twice a year since moving to the area in a while and will definitely be going again a few times this year. read more

Was just there today. Asked for a table for one. There is a table open but apparently the lady, perhaps the owner, wanted to save it in case there is a larger group coming in. Didn't even say there was a reservation on that table already. If you want to eat there by yourself then I would not recommend this place. I just walk out. There are more sushi places I can go to with better service. read more

Food overall is great coupled with reasonable price. Sushi and the other seafood dishes were Fresh and clean-tasting. Service was below to average. We had to ask for extra napkins, and water. Our party of six ordered a dozen dishes worth over $200 on a Friday early evening. There were 3-4 servers and helpers. One of the guys appeared irritated when we needed something like fork or spoon or small plates typically required for each patron for all the sushi, rolls, tempura, edamame, salad and other items from the table. More sensitivity and customer care are needed specially if the party is larger than their typical table for only two people. It was a little busy so I can understand but there's a lot of opportunity to improve. Rolls were superb. Ramen is so-so. Still worth the visit for the first time. read more

Been coming here for years, I think owners might have changed a few times but still always great food. But the last couple of times the service has gone down and so has the quality of the proteins. The servers forget items or get the order wrong. I think the place has just gotten too popular/busy and has affected the quality overall. Wanted a quick bite and stopped by this local mini Resturant. Quality of their rolls is excellent. They don't cheap out of the quantity and quality. Service was good, brought the food over less than 5mins and asked us if we needed anything else. Resturant fairly small, it's like a Togo kinda vibe. Good for parties of 4 and under. Fishy sushi is not what you look for when searching out a new sushi spot. Crispy rice with spicy tuna was awful as well. The ramen was good but I would not say that it tasted like any ramen broth I've had before. The Teriyaki chicken and beef was good, only saving grace but when your name is sushi holic, it's not what you're expecting. That and the big pieces of sushi get them two stars but it was not good at all. Also a bit pricy compared to other places nearby. read more

I was anxious to try Sushiholic a few days ago at lunch time. I wanted the Diablo Roll. It was FIRE with lots of good flavors and sauces. My first time here, I always drive by here whenever i get off of the 5 freeway near Imperial. $16.00 is not bad for the Sushi here. You get more bang for your buck. read more

4-26-24 I haven't been to this establishment for a while. I live in Huntington Beach but came to check the La Mirada house. So definitely in the neighborhood. Still in the same place in the back by the donut shop - Ross shopping area. Small , quaint and very clean establishment. Food is still made fresh to order and lots of sushi rolls to choose from. I had the love love roll and two items - salmon teriyaki and mixed tempura with rice, salad and miso soup. Awesome food and outstanding customer service. read more

Don't Eat at Sushiholic. I just went in to get a salmon skin hand roll to go at 12:30pm on 8/8/25. I stood by the cash register and watched the guy make it. As he was making it, he took some of it off the top with his left hand, eat it, and continued making my hand roll. I told the cashier guy that I want my money back and told him what happened. I asked to speak with the boss, and he said that the guy who was making it was the boss. If this was the boss who did it, it probably isn't much better with all the other employees. Now I know why they have all that stuff on top of the counter. It's so you can't see their mishandling of your food. read more

Everything we ordered was delicious! We were greeted as soon as we stepped in the door, we didn't have to wait long to order despite asking for more time to review the menu. Food came out promptly and even my to-go order was ready quickly. I ordered the sushi combo with the peppered salmon roll. The jalapeños were spicy which not a problem, but did have to limit my intake. The flavor of the roll was delicious, the sushi was fresh too. I ordered one of their sushi burritos and that was probably my favorite item. Never experienced such a great combo of flavors. The salsa that came with it was a sweet and spicy salsa and was the perfect topper for it. My daughter ordered the sesame chicken bowl and she loved it. The sauce and the breading were perfect. Highly recommend and I will definitely be back soon. read more

Great location literally down the street so makes for a convenient walk for lunch. Tried the spicy ramen and went with the fav chicken teriyaki plate. Overall the spicy ramen had enough kick but not an excessively hot burn. Scallions and sprouts and half a hard boiled egg. Over all mid of the road. But cannot beat the cost to value. The first time, I was the only customer waiting. I asked why I would fill out a list when (1) I'd been to this restaurant dozens of times and was never asked to do so; (2) no one was waiting; and (3) the place was nearly empty. The waiter was confrontational and insisted I must fill out the list. He said if I wouldn't, I could leave, so I left. I felt bad for the owners and decided not to leave a negative review, thinking it was a one-off error. After intervening good experiences with other waitstaff, I returned today. Unfortunately, I encountered the same rude waiter. There were lots of empty tables but rather than seat me, he approached and told me to sign in. I pointed out the absurdity, and again he said I could leave! I felt bad the business would lose customers due to one obnoxious waiter, so I asked to speak with the manager. When the waiter said the manager wasn't available, I found her myself. To my surprise, the manager seemed nonplussed -- as though she dealt with the waiter before and felt defeated. It didn't end there. While I discussed this with the manager, the waiter hovered around, attempting to intervene and argue. Today was the day, as I was craving sushi and remembered it, so in we went. Zero regrets! Ambiance/Service (3/5): We went around 1 PM on a Saturday and it was surprisingly dead in there; we were the only ones who dined in and there was only one customer picking up an order the entire time we were there. However, it didn't feel awkward. There was a TV playing on medium volume and the older Korean owners were really nice and made us feel welcomed. They gave us two bowls of complimentary miso soup (which our toddlers loved). Food came out relatively quickly. It definitely has mom n' pop vibes which I love. Decor was minimal but clean and the restaurant was well maintained. I think the place would make a nice casual dinner date. Food/Value (4/5): We ordered the udon with 4-piece spicy tuna roll combo, the mixed tempura appetizer, a baked salmon roll and a California roll. The total came out to $51.25. Prices are super fair for what you get, especially if you're craving special rolls or want a little of everything (they have so many combos). I'll review our food specifically below: -Udon & spicy tuna combo (3/5): Udon came in a pretty big bowl with udon, fish cake, green onions, and tempura flakes. Udon was nice and chewy, but the soup itself felt like it could use more depth. My husband wasn't a huge fan of the spicy tuna roll; he noted that the flavor wasn't the best, texture was bit different and the roll itself was loosely packed. He said he'd skip the spicy tuna next time. -Mixed Tempura (5/5): This was delicious. It came crispy and hot, with ten pieces total--2 each of pumpkin, potato, zucchini, carrot, and shrimp. The kids loved it and the sauce complimented it well. -Baked salmon roll (4/5): This was tasty, but it left something to be desired. I guess I'm used to heavier baked rolls with more creamy sauce reminiscent of a rice casserole made into a roll. Their rendition is essentially salmon placed on top of a CA roll with a drizzle of some sort of sweet soy sauce, but it was tasty nonetheless. -California roll (5/5): Awesome price and awesome taste. Loved every bite. I would come again just to order multiple of these. They don't skimp on the filling. Overall, I would give this place a 4 because it was a great lunch experience. We live relatively close, so this might be my go-to sushi craving place in the future. Would definitely come again and support this little mom n' pop shop!
