Don't Eat at Sushiholic. I just went in to get a salmon skin hand roll to go at 12:30pm on 8/8/25. I stood by the cash register and watched the guy make it. As he was making it, he took some of it off the top with his left hand, eat it, and continued making my hand roll. I told the cashier guy that I want my money back and told him what happened. I asked to speak with the boss, and he said that the guy who was making it was the boss. If this was the boss who did it, it probably isn't much better with all the other employees. Now I know why they have all that stuff on top of the counter. It's so you can't see their mishandling of your food. read more

Overall the spicy ramen had enough kick but not an excessively hot burn. Scallions and sprouts and half a hard boiled egg. Over all mid of the road. But cannot beat the cost to value. Everything I ordered was on point with quality, taste and portion; miso soup, Sweet Hawaiian Roll and the looks of the Mango & Avocado salad... I was so happy, that is until I started digging through the salad lettuce: I saw not one but two dark long hairs :( It really grossed me out. I didn't have the stomach to eat the rest of the salad and I didn't have the heart to post the photos of the hairs. I do hope they are using hair nets and practicing sanitary practices when washing and prepping the food. I probably won't get the salad again but look forward to another roll one of these days. read more

Food came out promptly and even my to-go order was ready quickly. I ordered the sushi combo with the peppered salmon roll. The jalapeños were spicy which not a problem, but did have to limit my intake. The flavor of the roll was delicious, the sushi was fresh too. I ordered one of their sushi burritos and that was probably my favorite item. Never experienced such a great combo of flavors. The salsa that came with it was a sweet and spicy salsa and was the perfect topper for it. My daughter ordered the sesame chicken bowl and she loved it. The sauce and the breading were perfect. I can't believe I haven't reviewed this spot until now. Overall I have been becoming a fan of Sushiholic. The staff is friendly, & sushi is good. My favorite roll so far has been the baked scallop roll. Inside there is: crab meat, shrimp tempura, and avocado. Outside the roll: baked scallop, scallion, onion, mushroom, and masago. So flavorful & rich in umami flavor. I've ordered from here quite a bit now & I've given the edamame a chance 3x. The first time I asked for it to be prepared with garlic flavor, & 2x regular salted & overall I just don't like how the edamame is prepared here. I won't get that from here anymore. The sushi though is great & the staff is so friendly. I'll gladly come again. read more

I have been desperately seeking a sushi place that has vegetarian options that are even the slightest bit creative. Don't get me wrong, if I'm in a pinch I love me a good cucumber or avocado roll, or heavens... a vegetable roll option! It's surprisingly difficult to find near me. Maybe I've just been spoiled by the options in other cities. So, I was surprised to see that they had the rolls previously mentioned and also a tempura vegetable roll that was really tasty and had nice variety of vegetables. The vegetable egg rolls had nice presentation and flavor and the orange sauce was obviously fresher than your typical low grade minimal effort. Not sure if it is, but definitely tastes like it's freshly made. My forever date is decidedly not a vegetarian, so he got into the Salmon roll and a Sun Kissed Roll and both were visually very stunning. He liked the flavor and both of us licked our plates clean. On a busy Friday night, we got in and got out quickly. Good food. Not crazy expensive. Service was friendly and prompt (though we did have to ask for more water). No complaints though. It's be nice if they started carrying liquor since I was really itching for some sake, but all in all a great experience and we will be back. read more

This smallish strip mall restaurant has everything above. I had the three item combo, plus we shared a garlic edamame. My combo came with miso soup, salad (a bit too much dressing), a nice mound of sticky rice, and I had the salmon teriyaki (cooked perfectly), California Roll (6 pieces even though the menu showed 5), and veggie tempura. Everything was done well! Price for the combo: $14.50. We will return the next time we're in La Mirada. read more
