Wow, I bought a cake here last minute as I heard their red velvet cheesecake frosting is one their best seller. I wanted a change from the place I normally go to, so I thought why not and it did not disappoint. That cake is super heavy in weight as everything was tasty for last minute pickup and everyone enjoyed it when I brought it in for a celebration at work next day! I definitely adding this place to my list of cakes to pick up for special occasions. Parking easy in parking lot in back or neighborhood parking is somewhat easy. Yummy in my tummy.

SusieCakes is by far one of my favorite places to get cakes and desserts. The customer service here is always amazing. As soon as you walk in, you're greeted with a smile, and the staff are consistently friendly and helpful. The cakes themselves are fantastic. They're always moist, flavorful, and topped with a rich buttercream frosting that isn't overly sweet. There's a great variety of options to choose from, plus seasonal flavors that rotate throughout the year. My personal favorites are the Celebration Cake and the Carrot Cake, but honestly, you really can't go wrong with anything here. Overall, SusieCakes is a reliable spot for high-quality desserts, whether you're celebrating something special or just craving a slice of cake. Highly recommend.

Hands down my favorite cupcakes in the city! The cake is so moist, it's freshly baked every day, and visually appealing. There are so many options with icing and cake combos. The price is definitely high at around 5 dollars / cupcake and 9 dollars / cake slice, but it's absolutely worth it on a special occasion. Parking is very easy on weekday nights around the area. Service is very efficient. Store is clean and bright. They don't usually run out so you can arrive later in the day. My favorite is the red velvet cupcake with plain frosting! Definitely on the sweeter side, so I can't eat more than one in one sitting.

Service was not excellent! All the people working were kind and helpful. Lemon and a chocolate cupcake... so good.

I think this is one of the cutest cake shops around and it's always so clean and the presentation in the cases is top tier. I came in specifically for the Susiecakes x See's Candies collab but I was a day too late. I didn't want to leave empty handed so I took my time deciding what I wanted to get. I choose the chocolate chip cookie. Upon entering the store I was greeted by the staff and Dina helped me with my order. I told her I wanted the See's cupcake but she let me know it had ended already. She knew how much I was looking forward to it so she let me know their next collab is end of Sept. She even gave me a goodie because I missed out on the collab. Such wonderful customer service at this store! I will be back again!

I remember getting susie cakes while living in San Diego so it's been awhile since I've indulged in its splendor. We came here after checking out the coffee shop across the street, and it's such a cute spot for an any time of day drop in. I am obsessed with the turquoise color theme and the adorable wall of any possible accessories for a cake or cupcake celebration. They have a healthy milk of premade cakes and cupcakes, and with seasonal flavors. They also have a sampler case in the front. Their cranberry sponge was deelicioussss. My husband and I chose to do the mocha and the strawberry. The mocha cupcake was one of the best cupcakes I've ever had- 5/5 for sure. The flavors of the cake and frosting were a perfect blend of mocha but the cake was INCREDIBLY moist. The strawberry cupcake was meh. I'd give it 3/5. The cake was flavorless and dry! So sad compared to the mocha cupcake. The frosting was delicious though and the saving grace.

Southern Red Velvet Cupcake /these are the Easter decor. They normally don't look like this.

Recently celebrated one of my friend's birthday and another friend's retirement. Got them some mini cupcakes from Susie Cakes and some balloons from next door. We celebrated at the Harborview Restaurant & Bar. Beautiful cakes that's tasty and so pretty, too. Mini cupcakes are perfect for those that don't want a lot of sweets, but want to celebrate the moment. Great choice for parties. This location is nearby to our house, so it's easy to pick up some sweets for any special occasion. Friendly service. Located on California and Locust.

There are hardly any special occasions in our household that haven't been celebrated with SusieCakes. We'll use any excuse: St Paddy's Day? Chocolate Guinness Cupcakes. Birthdays? Celebration Cake with celebrant's embarrassing nickname in pink icing. Thanksgiving? Their incredibly moist & sweet Carrot Cake. Random Wednesday? A slice of Red Velvet. I've always said that as I get older, my taste for overly-sweet desserts have decreased but SusieCakes is the exception. Their frosting is saaa-weeet, but I like it (or I'm used to it.) Most recently we came in for some cupcakes, & they are as good today as they were years ago when we started buying from this baker. From their multi-layer cakes that we've come to know & rely on to their limited edition seasonal cupcakes, SusieCakes never fails to make a good impression at my get togethers.

Above all else, SusieCakes has exceptional service and after visiting a couple of different locations, this remains to be consistent at every store. Their vibrant decor and friendly service draws customers to return. Their stores always give that old timey, classic vibe where customer satisfaction is always their priority. They have so many choices, it's hard to decide on just one. I tried 3: slice of tropical coconut layered cake with noticeable pineapple bits in each layer, peanut butter cupcake, and mocha chocolate cupcake. I believe the slice was about $8 and the cupcakes were $6. I can't quite remember because I used a giftcard for my purchase. If you're a fan of that classic buttercream, then you're going to like SusieCakes. If you prefer a less sweet and lighter cake, this might be overwhelming for your palate. It helps to pair it with some coffee to cut the sweetness. I also liked eating the cupcake with a fork so that I could control the amount of frosting on each bite. Each cupcake, though small, is so rich that you'll definitely be satisfied with just one. Their presentation is beautiful so if you're looking to buy this as a gift, you won't be disappointed.

This bakery never disappoints! I absolutely adore Susiecakes. They have the best cupcakes and cakes in the city. The employees are friendly, the bakery is very clean, and the selection of seasonal flavors and decorations are in always in a steady rotation that keeps things interesting. It's my favorite dessert place! There was such a cute wedding cake on display when I visited, which I think is inspired by Taylor Swift's Recent engagement?! See attached pic! All of their flavors are terrific! Here is my ranking of them with the best first: Susie's Famous Southern Red Velvet, Vanilla Celebration (birthday), Old-Fashioned Chocolate, Luscious Lemon, Tropical Coconut, Carrot Cake... I also like their Chocolate Chip cookies. I haven't yet tried their pies. I prefer this store location over the Marina location, which is takeout only. This store is significantly larger and has two stools inside, as well as benches outside on the sidewalk.

    Delectable cakes!

We always get the 6-layer Celebration cake with the signature blue icing. It is delicious, amazing and really pretty. For this special birthday, his 18th, I ordered the Luscious Lemon cake with layers of lemon curd and buttercream frosting, mmmmm! The 6" size cake is more generous than you'd think and every bite was both tart and sweet, the cake so moist, the delicious cake sugar sprinkled on top of the icing crunching on your teeth. The cake quickly disappeared because my son is the Incinerator. Wait until he finds out he can ask for a free piece of birthday cake for 30 days after his birthday! What will he choose? I'll report back. Quaint space, centrally located and plentiful metered parking right outside.

To Good Too Go TGTG order. Chanced on the offer and having seen other Yelpers post about SusieCaked decided to place an order. The shop was adorable, the staff gracious, and the packaging so cute. As for the cupcakes the buttercream was a bit heavy for me, but given the discounted price it was still a decent value. I prefer a very light buttercream so it was nice to check out the version at SusieCaked via TGTG.

Wow! Idea came to life! Phenomenal job! From answering extremely detailed questions to having some pretty unique specifications, they strived to do their best to achieve and execute the vision. The birthday girl was incredibly pleased! Will return! Amazing job to all involved! (Pearls and bows added afterwards for a fun company/client collab)

I definitely feel like the team implementing the 7:45AM start time to line up has helped a lot. Not only is it better for the neighbors, but it also makes the whole experience feel a lot less chaotic compared to showing up super early and scrambling to get in line. Everything feels much calmer and organized now. As for the pastries: To be honest, it really depends on what you like. I'm one that gravitates towards pretty much anything with meat and chocolate. Because of that, most of their savory/meaty and creamy pastries are always a must for me. They're super flaky, flavorful and decadent. You can really tell how much time and effort they put into making everything as high quality as possible, especially since you can see them making everything from the window while waiting in line. All in all, I think there's been a lot of improvement over the past year with some trial and error. Their pastries have always been delicious and I personally think it's worth the wait. I recommend getting to the area closer to 7:45AM so you have a better chance of being towards the front of the line. If not, it's still better to come before opening, I just wouldn't recommend getting there right before they open. By then it's not guaranteed that you'll get everything you want since they do run out depending on how many people are there.

Rice and roll and patatas are too salty for me, cruffin is good like apple pie, and i like the coffee choc croissant the most. They sell a lot of merch and coffee too.

Pineapple King Bakery is a takeout suite in the Outer Sunset district. There was no available seating inside or outside. You can save time by preordering online and then coming by to pick up your goodies. Parking was really tough in this area with all of the curbside metered spots occupied. The line wasn't too bad when I stopped by on a weekend afternoon. Posters showing some of the different products were placed on the front windows along with a copy of the menu. You ordered at the service counter that was just a few feet inside the front entrance. Several of the baked goods were on display inside the glass case underneath the counter. A larger menu board hung behind the counter. You could see the army of workers busy in the kitchen preparing different items. Pineapple buns/puffs (bolo baos) of multiple varieties were the stars of the show. Buns with other fillings like BBQ pork, hot dog, coconut cream, etc were also available. Egg tarts, some pastries, and drinks (e.g. milk tea) rounded out the main categories. Combo boxes allowed for larger quantities to be purchased. Coming from the southern most part of this state, we don't have anywhere near the choices for pineapple buns like they have here. I purchased a Deluxe Box to give as a gift for my relatives. It consisted of four mini pineapple buns... Original Pineapple Puff, Matcha Pineapple Puff, Mango Pineapple Puff, Mini Pineapple Bun with butter. For myself, I bought a Pineapple Bun with guava butter, a BBQ Pork Pineapple Bun, and a Pineapple Bun with custard. The total for everything was less than twenty dollars, and the business accepted cash only. The pineapple buns had a milk bread base topped with a crackly, golden cookie-like crust. They were soft and of a decent size for the respective prices. The version with the guava butter was warmed up by the kitchen. They recommended that I consume it right away to appreciate the decadent butter. In hindsight, my only regret was not ordering at least one of the egg tart types to taste and compare to what's available in my hometown. I gave a 4.5 star rating for the products I sampled at Pineapple King Bakery and rounded up.

The Curry Potato Bourek is also light and flaky, with a strong curry flavor that comes through really well. Both were #goodeats, and I'd definitely come back to try more of the menu. Service was pretty standard and straightforward. You order, grab your food, and head out. This is a very small cafe, honestly more of a storefront than a sit-down spot. There's no seating, so it's best for grabbing a few things to go. The food was good though, and there are enough interesting options that I'd come back to try more.

The line around noon wasn't too bad, and it moved quickly since most people in line knew the drill and had their items ready to go. I ordered the slice-of-the-day, which turned out to be a mushroom + spinach + mozzarella combo. I placed my order at the counter and was handed a hot slice of pizza about five minutes later. I was fortunate to land one of the limited seats inside the bakery, although, there was also plenty of bench space in the parklet outside. The pizza crust was thin and crispy - with just the right amount of chew - and tasted slightly of sourdough. Topping-wise, the mushrooms were abundant but not overpowering; however, I wish there had been other vegetables to balance out the flavor. Paying less than $5 for a generously-sized slice (adorned with a mini slice on top) felt like a bargain, especially in SF. I would definitely make the trip back out here to give the pizza another try and to pick up some of the other baked goods.
