    Italian sub
    Barbara S.

I was introduced to this place by my husband years ago and it's been a family favorite for us, especially on a Friday night. The food is always amazing, the service is friendly and the ambiance feels so cozy. The italian subs never disappoint, so good!

I stumbled across an article on the interwebs listing the best sandwiches in every state amd Susieswas the Ohio pick. My boyfriend and I were driving through so we stopped to eat in. More of a takeout spot, but the dining room was clean and comfortable. Service was very friendly. I had the 8" meatball sub with 4 huge meatballs and my boyfriend had 8" sausage sub, and both were pure toasty, cheesy, saucy perfection. 10/10 would detour again. Reminds me of my favorite old school sub shop back home.

I piicked up subs for dinner, the customer is always good. When I arrived to the location to pick up my subs, my order was ready and still hot. Ive been going there since I was a teenager, it's been in 3 different locations and still good to me. This shop is a family staple.

What a fantastic joint! We have never been here, so we decided to give it a try before our movie. We got their Italian sub and a personal pizza. Both were amazing. The sauce on the pizza was mouth watering good. The Italian was great, but just a little extra Italian dressing in it would have made it better. I'd advise you to ask for extra dressing. Unfortunately, there is no dine in. I asked when it would be back, and they said hopefully soon. It was blocked off, so you'll have to sit outside. You'll find two picnic tables to the left of the entrance. Other than that, I'll definitely be back to try more subs and a bigger pizza.

Decided to stop in to Susie's Sub Shop this afternoon. It is located on Karl Road. They have been at this location for 3 years. I decided to order a Philly Cheese Roast Beef sandwich and some Garlic Cheese Bread. The Philly Cheese Roast Beef sandwich which had a good amount of roast beef with onions, green peppers, mushrooms and Swiss cheese, all toasted nicely. The Garlic Cheese bread had a very mild garlic flavor to it with a great layer of cheese with some spices sprinkled over it. It was a lot of food for the money.

"C-Rating " Cracker thin crust. Liked the crunch but lacked flavor. Didn't care for the sausage. Tasted better fresh, not once it cooled down. Glad I tried it, but it didn't make my list to go again. A- one of my favs B- like but not a go to C- edible, but just okay D- uh... maybe if I am drunk F- oh hell no! never again!

    They love the Buckeyes!!

On our quest to try a new pizza place, we traveled to Susie's. This is a small bare bones store with 3 small tables with 2 chairs each to dine in. They are huge OSU Buckeye fans with pictures and collectibles hanging up and on the counter. They offer cans of pop and bottles of water. Boyfriend and I dined in and ordered their Italian sub special of 2 for $12 and shared a medium pizza. We shared one sub and took the other one home. The bread was crisp and thin, which I like. Plenty of meat and toppings and was really good. I believe one of the meats was a little more spicy than I am used to but I liked it. The pizza we ordered with mushrooms & onions with half pepperoni and sausage. The pizza was ok. I think more seasonings in the sauce would have made the difference. I would not mind stopping back in for subs if in the area or even trying the meatball sub.

1st time here and got an 8" Big John for $8.50. It's huge, it's messy, it's delicious and now I'm gonna crave it for most likely, the rest of my life. Yeah it's that damn good! They cut a piece of sausage and just threw it on in there, basically a Italian sub with sausage ;-)

    Philly roast beef!

This is the kind of place you need to go when you're craving a nicely toasted sub. That perfectly crunchy yet soft outer bread is delicious. I got the Philly roast beef. It was exactly what I was looking for! Full of meat and just on the right side of greasy haha. Also, the guy working the counter is really friendly and helpful. I went in and ordered my sub and waited. He chatted me up for a bit and even offered me a slice of pizza while I waited! I will definitely be coming back here!

Got a 12in Big John sub that was $13 and a personal 10in pepperoni pizza for $8. The sub gets a four star and the pizza a two. The pizza crust was very oily/greasy. At first I thought the sub was overpriced at $13, and I still felt that is was in the end. It was good though. Parking spaces are very tight. Probably would not get again.

    Great pizza and meatball sub!!
    Joe C.

This place isn't in the best neighborhood, but the food was great! I ordered a 10 inch pepperoni pizza and a 6 inch meatball sub. The pizza sauce had a nice flavor and the crust was crispy. The meatballs on the sub are huge and the bread was really soft. I will be back!

    Pizza sub - delicious!

We really wanted Frenchi's, so we drove up to this OG location. No line which is great! A nice woman was working the counter. We got our sammies and brought them home. They were as solid as always, but there's some things I have to note: Frenchi himself always made our sandwiches to perfection. Toasted, hot, perfectly made. The two times we had another employee make them, they are just different. Same ingredients, but different ratios maybe? Today my husbands Eiffel came super toasty and meats/cheese heated up in a microwave (or toaster oven maybe?) My Buckeye always used to come warm, but only if Frenchi made it. Twice now, I got barely toasted and my meat wasn't warmed at all. Also, man I loveeee the house made chipotle mayo but today was just way too much sauce. Yes, I should have spoken up about what I specifically wanted, but part of my reviews need to include things like consistency. Today was fine, but not the 5 star I've come to expect. One star off for the other location being closed and not posted anywhere. One star off for inconsistent sandwiches.

Also, on Saturdays, you can order a pound of chicharron for $20. A bit about costs: I think it's a bit expensive. A single empanada is $5. There are price breaks for larger quantities ordered. Italian sub and double patty burgers are each $13. The Appolonia Italian is a decent size, but the buger, even with double patty, felt small. The service is super friendly! The quality of their offerings is much higher than average. Everything tasted really good, no notes. The spicy Italian is a bit spicier than I prefer with their version of a giardiniera on it, but Mr loved it. All in all, a generous 4. I'd get it again and recommend it with my notes so you know what to expect. (Sorry I forgot a pic of the burger)
