There's also a vast selection of individual chocolates in the glass case. I was kindly given a salted caramel with dark chocolate couverture to sample while I wandered the shop. I also filled out an entry slip for a chance to win a gift basket filled with hand crafted, single origin chocolates valued over $300. It was nice to see that their chocolates have been award winning too, seeing awards on display from years past. Shout out to the retail person onsite that day. Very pleasant, professional, and knowledgeable. I was also given a product sheet where it was noted whether in stock or not and seasonal availability. I bought chocolate treats for others, and a 73% dark chocolate bar for myself. Highly recommended!

Anyhow we are tea drinkers in nature and didn't get any sense of aroma. It might taste better if you fool yourself that the owner isn't American, up to your judgement ;) I know because I have good friend from Kenya. Many authentic women/minority for good cause out there that you can prove. Gimmicks are everywhere be careful. My recommendation for loose tea to take home; Tea is originated in Asia- here in Beaverton there are great options 1. Asian market for Oulong, Jasmine, Puerh, or 2. Apna Indian market for Chai, or 3. Uwajimaya for authentic matcha, Genmaicha, etc. Educate yourself go get a real deal. You pay a lot less for good stuff plus organic options, get air tight tin containers from Michaels, best consume within a year. And honey from farmers market is real local. Don't be fooled. Talk to the people who make things, not the repacking business. Afternoon tea? Invest in a set of tea pot, order British earl grey, grab pastries from New Seasons and do better yourself or if you have a lot of money left grab a flight to London, skip the fake expensive ones. On one wall you got array of tea on display, and on the other side you have the tea station along with a chocolate display case. Anne (with an e!) was there to greet us. She briefly introduced herself and explained what they had to offer today. Unfortunately the chocolates were very popular, so the case was a bit empty and we didn't get to try them. We ended up getting two Lavender Fog lattes and they came in super cute pink cups. My cousin was really impressed with the foam on top, since it was super fine and she just loved it! I also enjoyed my London Fog as well. However, If I can give one bit of feedback, I'd love to be able to control the sugar level. The tea latte was good, but it was so sweet that it muted my sense of taste a little. I understand that everyone has a different preference for sugar level, but I have been on a low sugar diet for years. So I think it would be very beneficial for a customer to order full/half/low sugar to their individual tastes. Otherwise the tea latte was nice and warm, and the flavor was enjoyable. Personally I'm very interested in doing high tea with my girlfriends. It sounded like it'd be a fun experience. Also from what I'd heard from Anne, they serve sandwiches, treats, and chocolates, soup, salad and unlimited tea. I don't know about you, but that sounds like a dream to me! If I ever try their high tea, I'll post about that experience too. Like many reviewers have addressed, this shop opened during the height of COVID. I've been a huge fan of the original location for a couple of years. Not only are they delicious, but their wrappers are beautiful too! I gave these away for Christmas gifts one year and it was a real hit. I had the opportunity to chat with the passionate owner, Hamoody. He's incredibly personable and told me about what the new location has in store. They have a soft opening right now (grand opening planned for the end of March 2025!), and it's even better than the other location. They'll be offering ice cream in addition to their chocolates. What really caught my eye, is the sign that said they have the viral Dubai chocolate.I even went to Dubai at the end of last year and couldn't find it! Hamoody told me they'll be creating a special fruit Dubai chocolate parfait-type dish. While it's not available just yet, I was assured it will be available soon.

When adding drinks to our order, the lone man working there asked me a few times whether I really was ordering coffee for a child (and yes, she settled on a mocha when it was determined he only knew how to sprinkle matcha powder on the pancakes, and hadn't a clue as to their application to drinks). My grandson ordered their 'special hot chocolate' which pretty much tasted like watered-down Ovaltine. We sat outside to eat and after a few bites and finding these were nothing like the fluffy Japanese pancakes they'd expected, we threw away $44 worth of what was supposed to be a pleasant breakfast experience. I guess this was a life lesson for the kids, that our expectations aren't always met. And I want to prevent any other adults from making the same mistake I did in taking my business there!
