This place was amazing. The Korean bbq short ribs were outstanding and all the sides are homemade. My husband got American bbq ribs and those were fantastic too. We also ordered the appetizer sample platter and it was the most disappointing part of the meal. It wasn't bad, just not as good as the meals. I ended up wishing we had skipped it so I had more room for my dinner. I ate until it hurt and then took a whole bunch of leftovers home. We will be back! read more

I eat here often. This is one of the hardest working families in this county by far. The food is ALWAYS on point. I have NEVER left unsatisfied on any meal and nor have anyone in our company. This is not the large over decorated fast food chain. You need to understand they cook for you as if you were in your home. Sometimes they are very busy and could take longer so to base a review poorly for that is bad on you. I only write reviews to clarify when those self absorbed self proclaimed food critics have an issue because their needy little ego was bruised. Get over yourselves. It's ok. The kalbi is a bit grisly and not the best quality as far as meat to fat ratio. The kimchi fried rice was mostly spicy without enough kimchi flavor and nothing to write home about. It's an average place, but there isn't much competition for Korean food in this area. read more

Make sure to try the fried okra - hard to find places in the PNW that even know what it is much less how to fry it - this place does it justice with excellent dipping sauce options. Our table all did the pork bibimbap . . . nom and nom are the only things I have to say for that. Excellent taste for the dish, several small extra dishes included ( pickled veggies, kimchi, BBQ potatoes, green beans etc ). Family run place and very friendly willing to serve . . . What a delightful place. Its been a long time since I've been back there because I live in RI and Korean food is still a novelty and quite pricey here. This place serves authentic Korean food. While I was there, I would drive from Silverdale into Bremerton for lunch everyday because it was so tasty, then would drive over there for dinner in the evening. My favorite was the bibimbap. My all time favorite restaurant this side of the bridge. I have been coming here since they opened. In fact ,my first review of them was way back in 2013. Crazy!! At one point, I used to come here every week to get my fix on daktoritang, kalbi w/ side of mac salad, and kimchi fried rice. I sadly moved away, so I don't frequent this place as much. When I am in the area, I do still love to come eat here. What makes them legit is the fact that after all these years, they have still remembered me by name! This last time I went, they called me by name and even gave me a hug. I was actually truly touched they still remembered me. Everyone is super friendly and so nice. I feel like I am coming home to eat with my family!!! It's like comfort food!!! Love their kalbi and daktoritang, as these two are my favorites out of everything on their menu. Low key, welcoming atmosphere decorated like moms kitchen, if your mom is the doting Asian version of Donna Reed. Decent selection of basic traditional Korean meals with a few surprises to choose from, and some American options for the (lame) nonadventurous type. The food isn't necessarily the best I've had, but, for being so far outside Seattle, it's definitely more than acceptable. Prices are fare, service is prompt, ladies are friendly, and place is clean. My husband and I relocated to Western Washington this year. I started missing my favorite restaurants and array of ethnic foods so plentiful and conveniently located in Southern California. I turned to yelp to find local restaurants hopefully not too far and saw good reviews for Suzy's Kitchen, cooking Korean food located in Bremerton. So off we drove the 40 minutes to find the restaurant. Upon arrival, restaurant looked clean, only 1 table with several diners finishing their meal. Place was pretty empty. No one greeted us or was at the counter when we entered. About 5 minutes later, a waitress came out from the kitchen, greeted us, as we had seated ourselves, and gave us menus to look at. She came back another 4 minutes later to bring us glasses of water and take our order. I ordered the Bibimbap and my husband ordered the Bulgogi plate. The waitress came back 10 minutes later with a variety of small side dishes of kim chee and seasoned vegetables which did not have much flavor or much of a portion in the small bowls. Our food was brought almost 30 minutes later. The portions were small to the price for the dishes ordered. The bibimbap had very little meat strips, not the usual vegetables and oily from too much sesame oil. Bulgogi meat was on the chewy side, heavy on soy sauce flavor, and more vegetables than meat. The waitress was very friendly, service was slow and don't think we are coming back. We know good, very delicious flavorful korean food and this did not make the cut, sorry! read more

I can be critical of places in Kitsap--especially if they charge a lot of money and produce modest food. Suzy's Kitchen doesn't charge a ton of money, and their food blows most "fine dining" places in S. Kitsap away. sure, the location isn't the best--but it can be colorful! or just get the food to go. The service is as friendly as can be. I've had two Korean dishes so far, and am looking forward to trying more.
