This place is really a gem for the Bremerton/Kitsap County area. I like this restaurant. My wife and I tried their galbi and spicy pork bulgogi lunch specials for take out. The galbi was good and the spicy pork was really good. We enjoyed the sides that came with the specials too. Also the young lady who took our order and gave us our food was quite friendly which was pleasant. Often when I review a place in Bremerton I subconsciously adjust for "being in Bremerton" (sad but true). For Suzy's this isn't necessary. Love this place. Great food and the service is always fantastic. I always go with the korean beef but Bibimbap is also always delightful, not to mention the nice side dishes, pickled items. I was always intrigued and a bit confused by the inclusion of swedish meatballs on the menu. Took me a number of visits before I finally pulled that trigger and went off script. They were very tasty, however personally I'll stick with the Korean food offerings. read more

This place really is awesome. The staff there are some of the friendliest and most pleasant people I've ever encountered- and the food is consistently awesome. My go-to is the Beef Bimbimbap - and it's so good. Egg always cooked perfectly, and the portions are impressive. The sticky wings are amazing. I'm not even a big fan of wings, but my fella is & orders these - I always end up stealing a few. The sauce is so dang good- sticky, sweet, with a subtle spice kick. On wings from other places, I think it's soggy skin that tends to be what turns me off on wings -- and there's definitely nothing soggy about their wings here. They always have the perfect crispy crunchy exterior. Mandu- yum. Lumpia - yum. My fella loves their shrimp fried rice, and his brother raves about the kimchi fried rice. I intend to try more off the menu since everything on they serve seems to get rave reviews...but can be hard to steer away from the go-to delicious simplicity that is their bulgogi beef. THE best Korean food I've ever had!! Don't be fooled by it's strip mall location, the food here is good. We ordered two appetizers and two entrees. The kimbop (Korean sushi) was super fresh, you can tell they made it to order. The deep fried cream cheese wontons were so yummy, filled with cinnamon and cream cheese with an orange dipping sauce, almost like a dessert. For the main course we ordered Kimchi fried rice and Kimchi JapChe. I have never had this kind of JapChe before in my life and I've lived in Korea and it was sublime. gosh this place is just soooo good! i wanted to write and update to take back what i said about the fried rice...it isn't too sticky...it's amazing. Not a fan of the dolsot bibimbap here. The sliced cucumbers, lettuce, and pickled daikon didn't go well together in this dish. And, combined with the sweetened kochujang, I feel like they took the dish too far from its traditional roots. The food was edible, but much too Americanized for my taste. read more

I can't say enough good about Suzy's Kitchen. The food is delicious, the service is great, and the price is reasonable. Whether you dine in or out they always supply you with a smattering of delicious extras (kimchee, pickled radishes, etc). It's a nice little touch to make you feel like a valued customer. It's hard to pick a favorite dish here, the Bimbibap is the best in the area. Slightly spicy, fresh ingredients, well cooked meat, and of course the fabulous over-easy egg. The spicy bulgogi is also good. It's hard to stop eating, and it leaves a nice spice level in your mouth. The Doc Tori Tang is one of my favorite soups ever. Nice chunks of well cooked, tender chicken, potatoes, leeks... I asked my fiancé to bring this home when I was sick once and it really hit the spot. Everyone who works here is always very friendly and warm. Genuinely good people. Their parking lot can be a bear to get out of, but not too bad. Love this little place. My favorite Korean Restaurant in Kitsap county! They have great Korean food and the portion was big. Last time we went there we ran into the owner's daughter who was a friend of a friend and we've met a few times before. Well, we got a few free appetizers and let me tell you, it was tasty! We got the lumpia and another dish I don't know the name, it was this fried wonton wrapper with cinnamon-vanilla cream cheese with dipping sauce on the side. And then we proceeded ordering some Korean soup dishes with the kimchi sides, it was so good and the portion was gigantic, my husband could barely finish food while I had to pack it and bring it home with me. Overall this is a great place to eat with a reasonable price. Oh and the cornbread was hands down the best tasting one I've ever had. Period. :) read more

The food is great, the restaurant is clean, and I never have a strong smell coming off my clothes when I leave. I personally know some of the staff but even then, they don't give me any special treatment because they treat every single one of their customers with overwhelming kindness and they always give their undivided attention when you're talking. read more

I don't know the first thing about Korean food. In fact, I'd never even tried Korean food before coming to Suzy's. But I left a fan, and here is why: the SHORT RIBS. Holy deliciousness! They may not qualify as a health food, but damn, those things are good. I also was a big fan of the bibimbap - but I've been informed that to do it right, you must get your egg over easy so it is nice and runny, then mix everything together at the table - the egg cooks in the hot stone bowl. It seemed to work well - two thumbs up all around! Our waitress also couldn't have been nicer and she was great at talking us through the menu when we told her we were newcomers to Korean cooking, although we had decided to play it safe and start out with the staples... perhaps next time we'll be a bit more adventurous. Sweet people give great service. I think this could be a swell place for meat lovers. As a vegetarian I have enough choices to select from, most of them quite good. The first time we went one item on the menu was quite remarkable, a Korean equivalent of Japanese sushi, nothing at all like Japanese sushi really but darned tasty. But second time we went just for that it wasn't as good, so I guess it varies. Other items that pass vegetarian muster include a vegetable tempura, mushroom and onion soup, kimchi fried rice, veggie pancake, and regular ramen you tell 'em what you want on it. If you ask, some of the other menu items can be made vegetarian. And this isn't true of many Korean restaurants. On one journey, not being kimchi fans, we asked for the veggie fried rice with tofu instead of kimchi, and this was a huge serving to share. Very unique flavor, it was good, and six tiny side-dishes of flavored radish (daikon), baby spinach leaves, kimchi, eggplant, &c., to have with the rice as desired. This was great! In some Korean cafes these side-dishes go to waste, or only half are tasty, but we emptied every tiny bowl here. This place's nearest geographical competition are two Mexican restaurants and when we are near that strip mall I'm afraid Suzy's doesn't always win. And I can't praise too highly how generous and goodhearted the place feels thanks to a staff that really cares about the quality of their service and welcoming nature. It's not gourmet and it doesn't take much for the moderately priced food to turn into an expensive dinner. I think if it was actually cheap for two to eat we'd go all the time. But even as it stands we go often enough, it's just such a pleasant "regular" place. read more

This place's food really hit the spot! We got an appetizer (which was a Korean potsticker) and shared some Korean BBQ beef and also spicy pork. The bbq came with a bunch of little traditional sides that all had different yummy flavors. Not only was the food amazing but the service was the best I've experienced in a long time. The waitress, and also another woman (who seemed like either the chef or another kitchen worker), were both very very friendly and accommodating. Our go-to dish at Suzy's would be the kalbi ribs, which are delicious. They are perfectly tender and have great flavor. I love the traditional sides that come with each entree too, although my BF just isn't into them. Guess you either love it or hate it! We find the kalbi a little pricey for take-out but since it's so good we consider it a worthy occasional splurge. I did try the seafood soup once but was very disappointed. It had almost no seafood in it! The egg rolls are pretty good though, and we haven't really explored the rest of the menu. I'm always tempted by the bibimbap! The service is friendly and there's plenty of parking if you want to eat in. They also do take-out, not sure if they deliver. Definitely in our top 5 for West Bremerton! read more

Korean food is pretty authentic and surprisingly good maybe better than the ones you can find in Ktown on S. tacoma way. I tried DWEJI BULGOGI (marinated spicy pork) and was very delicious with sizzling onions on the bottom. The two waitresses were very friendly and polite. This is a surprising gem in Bremerton! To put it simply, you can taste the love that goes into this food. Everything is homemade and it's obvious that food is the chefs' passion. Everything I've had so far has been amazing. Moved to this area from San Jose where you can literally get authentic amazing food from around the world on every single block. I was so sad and miss everything we used to eat. I was desperate for some Korean short ribs and saw the reviews...I can honestly say this place is ABSOLUTELY AMAZING. This is a nice, very clean Korean place. I had the shrimp fried rice, which was a good portion(lots of shrimp!) for $10.97. My only issue is that it wasn't at all spicy--I think maybe they don't use any heat because the locals don't like spicy. I wish they would have asked how spicy I wanted it. My husband had the veggie yakisoba, which also was a good portion with plenty of veggies, but again, no heat. Service was quick and very pleasant.
