This is my new favorite Korean restaurant, I've tried a couple different dishes and they're all delicious and the staff is friendly.

Only been once, but when I want comfort food this is going to be my new go-to spot. My dining companion and I both ordered the bibimbap, (spicy pork for me, chicken for him) and were thrilled with the hot stone bowl experience, the size of the portion and the overall quality of the meal. I have heard nothing but good things about Suzy's Kitchen so I knew I had to eventually try the place! I am now OBSESSED! First off, it's a very casual, family type of restaurant. The servers & Suzy are so sweet! They come chit chat with you & Suzy even came & sat with us for a little (she knew my friends that I was with but STILL! I bet she'd do that to a stranger). They made sure we were alright every so often but not in the annoying all up in your business sort of way. Water with cool ice cubes were re-filled at just the right times. Their tea was soooo good, too! My friends and I decided to just order a bunch of dishes and share. I chose the regular bulgogi with a side of macaroni salad, one of my friends got the kalbi, mondu, and kimchi fried rice, and my other friend got the chap-je. I have no complaints about ANY! I loved the bulgogi especially. The banchan were pretty awesome as well! Their prices aren't bad at all but when we went it was just after lunch ended so they were a little higher. Next time I would like to try going for the lunch specials. I now know where to go if I have a craving for Korean food! This is a MUST try! You won't regret it. read more

After having visited Bremerton several times over the last few years, I thought that I had already tried all the food options that Bremerton had to offer, but boy, was I wrong. Thanks to Mel O's suggestions, I tried suzy's kitchen. Being from California and having spent the last 5ish years in San Diego where there's a pretty big Korean community, I've had my fair share of Korean foods. I must say that I was surprised by how delicious and semi-authentic tasting their Kalbi & Bulgogi was. Their ban chan was also really good. I'm all about those marinated bean sprouts- yum! The hostess/waitress was very nice and attentive too. My only gripe about Suzy's Kitchen are the prices. They are a little steep, but for the deliciousness I'm getting...I'm totally willing to pay. I have only tried their version of sushi and if the rest of what they offer is just as good or better, I'll be happy to dine here again! The people working here are friendly and the interior is clean, bright, and inviting. The "Kimbab" I ordered is a Korean version of sushi, I had Spam featured in the roll I got. Total cost of this+tax+tip came out to less than $6 and I'm glad I didn't have eyes bigger than my stomach since the number of slices from the single roll was plenty for lunch on the go. We decided to try this place based on the reviews on yelp and I must say that we were mighty glad that we did! We simply loved this place! Being vegetarians, we never find a Korean restaurant that has any vegetarian variety. So we were kind of skeptical about this restaurant too. The menu did mention vegetarian options for many of the dishes so that was our hope. It's not too big a place and very casual at that. The staff is very friendly. We ordered the veggie pancake with egg and Kimchi fried rice. Both were delicious! We also got 5-6 sides - albeit tiny portions they were just right. These consisted to spicy spinach, some sprouts, kimchi, bean, sweet and sour radish, etc. The price was quite reasonable. It came out to around $10 per person. I've ordered several different vegan options they offer including bibimbap, ramen, and yakisoba and have left happy and full every time. Suzy's Kitchen is probably one of the finest Korean/Japanese restaurants. Originally I was looking for a good Teriyaki place to dine in and when I have found this particular one, I did not regret it. After getting consistent Japanese food I decided to try their Korean food - I was impressed. The meat they use is delicious, they are always on time, and the cashier lady is always extra nice and friendly. I tried one of their Korean soups Mandu Guk and it is fantastic! I loved the spices and the bouillon with the right amount of chicken and dumplings in the broth. I would say it is one of those hidden gems in the Kitsap area. Highly recommended place! read more

I came from LA and was exposed to ktown since I was a kid. Their food is pretty good a bit too westernizef for my taste but will definitely go back for my korean food fix. This place has flown under our radar for the 6 years we've lived in the area. Well not anymore! I had an instructor recommend it and I'm glad he did. We've been twice now and it's great! My wife LOVES the bibimbap, and I have had some fantastic Daeji Bulgogi (spicy pork) as well as some tasty Dak Dori Tang (spicy chicken potato stew). The hot tea is great as well. It's definitely been added to our list of regulars. The staff (owners?) are very friendly. The atmosphere is a sort of strange mix of Korean and homestyle American kitchen. So good here! My boyfriend ordered chicken katsu and I ordered beef bulgogi. Chicken katsu was way better than getting it anywhere else from the chicken, the breading, and the sauce. Possibly the best customer service in town!! Suzy and family always greet us with enthusiasm, and got to know us, along with our food preferences, quickly. Suzy's Korean food is the best of its type that I've experienced! I haven't been to Korea, but I do like Korean food, and have tried a few places on the WA peninsula. I have so many favorites, I'll have to give a list: BiBimBap--of course!! I like the mushroom and onion Udon Noodle soup--the noodles are so perfect Kim Bap-- with wasabi, for sure! Ramen--you name the spicyness Corn tea--an important part of Korean, and, it's complimentary, here!! Yubu Chobab--I got my partner addicted to these tofu rice pockets!! ALL the veggie side dishes that come on the cute little square plates: potatoes, green beans, spinach, yellow and white pickled radishes (my mouth waters as I write), and kimchi. Plus, Suzy makes the best SWEET TEA that can be found in the northern US. I'm vegetarian, so my choices reflect that aspect, but my partner always gets the Spicy Chicken Teriyaki, and swears it is the best offering in the house!! The food came out promptly and was wonderful. I had the bibimbap with chicken and it was so great. The service was wonderful. They were so kind, pleasant and attentive. Amazing authentic food, wonderful customer service, well worth the price. My only issue was with the egg drop soup, which was a bit bland. I took it home and added korean chili, soy sauce, and a bit of the sauce that came with the gyoza and that perfected it. Why eat at a fast food joint when you can come here? If you have a more refined palate, this place will hit the spot. The lunch specials are a good deal. It's located outside Bremerton naval shipyard and it seems to be little to no restaurants within 4 miles that serves similar food. If you don't have time to go to a Korean BBQ place, this place will be perfect. My intention is to eat less meat, so complaining that they seem a bit tight with the meat should be ignored. This is a great little local spot right off of Callow. The parking lot can be difficult to maneuver in but not impossible. The service was great and friendly. I do not recommend the iced coffee... I think it was just cold instant coffee. Everything else was terrific. I order the short ribs, the BF had the Bulgogi, my dad had the tempera and we all shared the baked mussels.
