Suzy's Kitchen, one of a very few Korean restaurants in the Bremerton area. First for me to try Korean food in this area and its descent. I've had better elsewhere, nothing spectacular, overall it's pretty descent. General Suzy's Chicken - it's pretty much chicken teriyaki, average, just like any others around the area. Beef Bulgogi BiBimBap - a rice and beef dish held in a clay pot. With other fixings like fried egg, lettuce, spinach, zucchini, pickled daikon, etc. This was average, flavor is minimal. Tteok Bokki - a rice cake dish with fish cake, veggies, boiled egg and noodles with a kimchi flavor. This was also average. Overall, Suzy's is descent. Customer service is very homey as they are very kind and will explain to you on what each dish is. read more

One of the restaurant I always drove pass by and never attempt to stop and try it out until recently. In Bremerton, I could say that "Suzy's Kitchen" is a decent Korean restaurant. Unless you go to out of town. It's isn't very authentic to me but the food is good. Suzy's Kitchen their cuisine fall into couple types of Asian cuisines, which includes Korean, Japanese, Chinese, and American Asian food. Went here on a Friday night and this place was busy! The service were friendly. I ordered the "Bibimbap" and some "Lumpia". Turn out to be real good. I was impress how flavorful the taste were. The side dishes were awesome too, many varieties but just a suggestion they should add the potato salad. Forgot to mention, their Lumpia order were generous. It was a big portion that could feed two people. Overall, this place is great! I will definitely stop by here again. Great price and great portion too. Sue, the owner and I'm certain, the head cook is an awesome person. She is hard as hell on the outside and sweet as pie on the inside, but that's what makes her so damn good at cooking. She cares about the food like her own child. She puts everything into every dish I've ever seen her make. She is truly passionate about making her food look unforgettable and tastes unforgettable. There are lots of little Korean bbq/Chinese joints around town, but you will not regret it if you just stop at her little place there on 6th and callow and start with the bulgolgi! Today I must write an unfortunate update. We did a pick up during quarantine, entering phase 2, so excited to have some delicious food and support a local business, yet disappointed in the worst way possible! We ordered kimchi rice w/spam, a second spam fried rice, kalbi ribs, sticky chicken wings, I requested extra spice, side of teri sauce, the order came to $66. First I tried the wings, ZERO FLAVOR, no umami from gochujang, it was pure cayenne style heat and something like flavorless corn syrup topped wings, thats fine, I fixed them with garlic salt, honey, etc... The breading was perfectly crunchy, the wings were of the larger type. I then tried my kimchi rice, it definitely didn't have again any salt, seasoning, or even that spicy-sour kimchi flavor, so plain, with an odd aftertaste that my palate just couldn't place...ok so I tried my husbands rice, I didn't say anything because I wanted to see his reaction, and then he said it, "I don't want to go back there!" He thought as I did the rice had an unidentifiable and terrible taste. The Kalbi ribs were missing soy sauce flavor and the teriyaki sauce was gelatinous with again, no soy sauce flavor and tasted like liquid smoke was added. The food was so bad I never dished myself up a plate, my husband ate 3 wings and some rice with a kalbi rib. We literally threw all but the chicken wings away, I felt terribly guilty for both wasting our money and food. I'm really not sure what happened here, no soy sauce, no salt, no flavor, bad ingredients, so many things wrong. The service was as kind and accommodating as always but this is the second time now we've received bad food, last time it was not as bad so we wrote it off, this time it was GROSS. If you are reading this Suzy's, what happened, why have the flavors left your once flourishing business? Unfortunately we wont be back, we literally threw hard earned money in the garbage. So sad. Suzy's is a vegan paradise in a vegan desert called Bremerton. I know there are a few other places with options but Suzy's really does it all. If you let them know your vegan they'll modify dishes and give you recommendations. The kimchi Pancake is a must everytime we go! Tofu yakisoba is my go to but I haven't had anything I didn't like from here. The ambiance is so comfortable and the customer service is always so great no matter how busy they are. read more

I had lunch from Suzy's Kitchen today. I'm really torn between 4 and 5 stars, but I've decided to round up. The kimbap was a great snack to tide me over on the way back to my relatives' house to eat the lunch. I liked the meat jun and yachae pajun fine, but I have nothing to compare it to having never had it before, and they weren't really flavorful enough for me to get again. The meat jun came with rice and the best, creamiest macaroni salad I've ever had, and also came with three gyozas that blended in with the meat jun and I didn't see them in there until after I was full and they were cold, so I can't rate them. I also had the barbecue garlic wings, which were great, and the sticky wings, which was some of the best chicken I've ever had in my life. My relatives really liked the food they got too. They said that the ramen had more noodles than any ramen they'd ever had, and that the spicy pork was spicy without being too spicy. When I go again, I think I'll just get a bunch of macaroni salad and sticky wings, which were the perfect combination of sweet and spicy. Oh, and I'd get another little can of that delightful fruity milky Korean pop. It was so unusual and refreshing. read more

My wife is half Korean but really threw me off is the Mexican lady running it and we asked for a gochujang to make the kimchi soup more spicy and she was telling us usually Koreans don't like spicy. I thought that was a little odd to say, and a little offensive, when being from a Korean family everything is spicy. Food was alright.....nothing amazing. Finally got to try suzys during the COVID-19 craziness! I had the spicy pork DUP BOP, it was AMAZING!!!! A huge portion and the food was great. It came with ban ham sides We also got the sticky wings; perfect mixture of sweet, spicy, crunchy, and moisture of chicken. My husband got the bimbamp which he said kind of lost some of what he thought it could be by sitting in the styrofoam vs a cast iron bowl. We will definitely be back! read more

Delicious food conveniently near base. Great value! They have great low priced lunch specials. Our favorites are the bibimbap and kimchi fried rice. For dinner, the Korean BBQ is fantastic. I tried the spicy chicken and beef. It's a lot of food so come hungry. The great variety of pickled veg was also amazing. My favorite was the yellow (sliced daikon?) pickles. This is the jewel of Bremerton. Seriously some of the best Korean food I have EVER had. The bulgogi was delicious and tender, the banchan had variety and everything was packed full of flavor. The staff was friendly and warm! This was our first time but it will definitely not be our last! read more

Probably a better dining experience eating in than taking out. I ordered the combo beef bulgogi and the spicy pork. First off the beef bulgogi was not very good texture. Flavor was fine but the cuts of meat were not tender at all and the result was I didn't even eat off it. The spicy pork was however very tender and delicious. I ended up wishing I had ordered just pork. The sides were decent but portion size is a bit small, which I can understand. Overall an ok meal but the beef bulgogi has me not going back. read more

This is what you want. This is what you've always wanted. It's a diamond in a sea of crap food that exists in Bremerton and Port Orchard; one of two or three places actually worth going. We enjoyed the Bibimbop, the spicy chicken sizzling plate and the sticky wings. Each and every single one was cooked fresh by an army of people in the kitchen with great care. I enjoyed every single bite until it was all gone and immediately started thinking about when I could come back. I recommend this place with my highest regard. I ordered the hot stone bibimbop and I enjoyed it. Because I asked for no rice, I'm not sure if that played a part on there being more soupy. Service was good and not overly attentive. I was on the phone so liked that they didn't interrupt me but still took care of me by filling up my water without me waving them down. The hot pot Beef Bulgogi is my absolute favorite dish. I'll also get a sticky wing appetizer -- but I usually just eat a couple and take the rest home. The hot pot comes in a stone hot dish and keeps the dish super warm and even gives the rice a crispy crunchy taste over time (SUPER tasty). The sauce is dynamite and the extra veggies are yummy. Suzy's Kitchen is the most authentic Korean restaurant around this area! Last night was my second time in and it was absolutely delicious! We had the Seafood Pancake as an appetizer which was filled with seafood and the sauce you put on it was sweet and tangy. I had the Kalbi Bibimbap, served in a hot stone bowl and a special spicy sauce so I can mix it up and get the crispy rice on the bottom and side of my bowl. Boyfriend had the 2-Meat combo: Kalbi and the spicy pork. Of course the little side dishes came too! I would also recommend the Korean Iced Coffee if you go there for lunch, it's amazing! Yum!!! Korean food is probably my favorite and Suzy's kitchen did not disappoint! I always get soondubu and a lot of times you are skimped out on the tofu but not here. There was plenty of tofu and the flavor was great. My husband is a big critic of Korean food and he's very difficult to please. He was impressed by Suzy's kitchen. This is not the cook your own style of Korean bbq. Their sides were great! They had a spinach side that was so good I ordered 3 refills. Also they had my favorite Korean side, danmuji. Those are the yellow pickled radishes. Very tasty. I loved that there were Options for American and Japanese dishes. My daughter had the chicken teriyaki. As we were leaving, we were offered little yogurt drinks for my girls. I thought that was so sweet! My father in law lives right around the corner so when we visit Bremerton this is our new go to. read more
