We first visited SV Auto Sales on a Friday, where we met with Emil, our sales representative. Communication was clear and timely, and what stood out most was the relaxed, no-pressure approach. Emil handed us the keys to the two vehicles we were interested in and encouraged us to take our time checking them out--no hovering, no sales tactics. After spending about 90 minutes looking over the cars, we decided to take them for a test drive. Emil only needed a copy of our daughter's driver's license (this would be her first car) and, unlike every other dealership we visited, he let us take the test drives alone. That freedom allowed us to speak openly as a family, and we truly appreciated it. When we returned, Emil answered our questions but never pushed for a sale. After visiting a few other dealerships on Saturday, we called Julia to see if we could come back for a second round of test drives. Even though they were scheduled to close in under an hour, she welcomed us without hesitation. When we arrived, Emil was just as friendly and helpful as the day before. Started off as a curious interest given the nature of a natural car enthusiast. No pressure no feelings of obligation or the need to by being professional or courteous but in my own time when I m ready. The team @ sv auto sales were always prompt in delivering answers, providing the ideal customer service/support, and left a everlasting impression of how liberating and innocent the whole car buying process should be and if standards was mandatory, then their business model would be mandatory & implemented as a standard. They scheduled an appointment for me on Tuesday to view and purchase. On Monday night i was told that someone else walked in without an appointment and purchased the vehicle. I highly recommend SV Auto Sales. I am in the market for a diesel truck that can pull my travel trailer. Saw a notification that a Ford F-250 XLT was recently posted at this dealer. These small used car dealers are a mixed bag at best with poor reputations, but I assure you that is not the case with SV Auto Sales. I met Georges and he was friendly, no pressure. The lot and his office was very clean. All of the vehicles looked well maintained. Upon inquiring about the truck he let me know the details about it - the good and the bad. He had a CarFax available to check it's history. I took the truck for a test drive and it was solid. Strong engine, no turbo lag or whine. The brakes had recently been replaced and worked perfectly. The steering was true, no pulling either way. I did a visual check for diesel blow by and it looked to be functioning normally. I did notice a couple minor issues, but nothing out of the ordinary for a 13 year old truck. I spoke with Georges about the vehicle and told him I was very interested. He printed a final price sheet after a bit of negotiating. It was a very fair price for the vehicle, especially during these challenging times trying to find a vehicle post COVID. We came to an agreement but it was the test drive kept Georges at the lot after hours (I came in after work) so I let him know I'd return with my family the next day to complete the transaction when my wife and family could come and take a look. That evening, I ran the VIN to double-check the towing capacity and because it was the base model F-250 (an XLT) the capacity was a bit lower than I had expected (8300lbs vs 12,500 of the other models I had previously test drove - the Lariat package and FX4). Unfortunately, this was too low to manage my travel trailer needs so I discussed with Georges at SV Auto Sales the next day. He offered another vehicle on his lot with higher capacity in my price range but admitted it was 2WD but I need a 4WD. He said he would keep in touch with me about any future trucks he might get in. Although we were not able to complete the transaction Georges was honest and transparent through the entire process and let me know that he would be an open resource for me to discuss any vehicles I might find elsewhere. So here's our story. My girlfriend needed a car asap since her younger brother took her SUV (you know how teens are). So we saw their ad online that had a Subaru for sale. The very next morning (Sunday) I shot an email to them expecting that I would not get a response until the next day. I was wrong. I was greeted by a pleasant email from Julia within the next hour and informed me that they had availability in the afternoon. So my girlfriend and I had enough time to grab lunch and head right over to them. The location looks like it can potentially be cramped during business hours, but we came during the weekend so parking was a breeze. They are located at the back right corner of a plaza of various auto related organizations. We finally met Georges, Julia, and bubsy (cutie dogo!). They are friendly and honest about their cars. Georges provided as much information as he can about the car and he even let us test drive the car on our own! Overall, we had a great experience with buying a car from them. I would recommend them to anyone who is looking to buy a used car for a fair price. I also want to add that we've gone through our fair share of bad experiences with used dealers, but these two makes up for all the times we had feeling belittled and unappreciated. I listed some key questions and she thoroughly answered them to my satisfaction and we agreed to set up an appointment for an initial test drive. I met George who is as nice as can be and after going over the vehicle, I did a very thorough test drive. If you want a no pressure experience, you can't go wrong with George and Julia. The price was very fair based on Kelly Blue book as well as competitive similar vehicles on Craig's list though don't forget, you do have to pay the CA sales tax so you need to factor that in. Although we did not end up with a permanent sale/purchase, I would not hesitate for one second going back to George and Julia if another vehicle catches my eye.
