Very cool vibe and atmosphere at Sweatman's! We came here on a Friday the 13th and they were having an event for it with vendors that had clothes, jewelry, art, and more. They also do tarot and astrology readings which is super cool! They had very fun and unique cocktail options, as well as THC cocktails. The bartenders were very friendly and attentive. We ordered cauliflower wings which were really delicious! They said they change their menu regularly, so they might be gone now, but I'm sure whatever is next will be just as good! read more

Last night my friends and I ended up at Sweatman's Garden for drinks, and it's the kind of place that makes you want to take your time. The vibe is maximalist with bohemian bones: moody, cozy, unique, quirky art, and disco balls dripping from the ceiling. It feels warm and a little weird in the best way, like your eccentric friend with excellent taste turned their living room into a cocktail spot. The drinks were perfect. Classically creative without trying too hard. My friend and I both ordered the same drink brought to us in beautiful glasses, & a different style each time. Love this place - great ambiance, delicious cocktails (both with booze and without), and they just opened up a vegan pop up in their kitchen! Begin vegan eats serves up some yummy food - salad is great and only $4. Their cocktail list is seasonal and has fun names, have never had a bad cocktail here. For dry January I got a house made soda with a NA ginger blueberry spirit and it was delicious! They also have fun events here like thrift shopping, bingo, tarot, and more. A soda & cocktail garden with amazing food and live music? Yes please. It's open seating/seat yourself. There are couches and tables to the right and then bar seating and hightops on the left and in the back. We got there around 6:30pm on a Saturday and sat right now. A server greets you at your table and then you order drinks & food at the bar. At the time of my visit (Spring 2025), the food was provided by Laurel. Apparently they have rotating food menus. The food from Laurel was very delicious. My party of three ordered the following and had some leftover to take home: Spiced Fries, Fried Brussels, Croquetas, Octopus, Meatballs. I definitely recommend checking this placed out. It's awesome to see a bar promoting the non-alcoholic lifestyle. read more

Stopped in one evening after work for drinks with friends. The decor is so fun! It's a little funky and eclectic, but has a great vibe. They have happy hour specials, which is nice also. They have some small bites and seasonal drinks, but also had ramen offered, which was an unexpected surprise. The staff was very friendly and provided the option to sample one of the pre-made frozen drinks before I committed to it...which I did, because it was delicious. Everyone sampled a couple of drinks each and I have to say, they were some of the best cocktails I've had in the area recently. They were interesting, not watered down, and all very tasty. I waited entirely too long to pop into Sweatman's for a drink. Ended up coming to a free yoga sculpt class and pre-launch party for FlowCo and had to stay after for the vibes and try one of their drinks. I absolutely adored all the different options and didn't realize they serve alcohol as well as a slew of non-alcoholic choices. I popped in for a Galentine's event where they had romance books, permanent jewelry, art, tarot reading, and more. Being my first time at Sweatman's I was pleasantly surprised. This place is.... And I can't believe I'm going to say this "a vibe"! The atmosphere is warm and inviting. There are plants EVERYWHERE that make it feel extra cozy. The eclectic decor and furniture bring it all home. I only interacted with a small portion of the staff but they were very nice. I'll def be coming back for some ramen. One of the very few bars I've been to around here where I wasn't saying "not bad" or "yeah it's ok" to each and every cocktail on the list. My drinks were really good! They're not some watered down juice mixed with a drop of alcohol, but rather very interesting and complex in flavor. We came here specifically for the fondue, but found out they are no longer doing any savory fondue, only sweet chocolate fondue. Sad day!!! The meatballs were delicious juicy and very plump! We couldn't leave without trying the fondue, which did come with a ton of items to dip in it and enough fondue for all three of us girls. The drink menu is is fully homemade soda. I got the root beer and it was delicious! You can add in spirits to make it an alcoholic drink as well. Even though we didn't stay for the dinner menu, the server let me know they serve Ramen after 4 PM. I'll definitely be back to try that. read more

First visit in a few months, and I was disappointed. The menu has limited offerings for dinner. Basically, a small happy hour and then ramen. They have a nice variety of cocktail offerings but the food does not match and they need to offer more. The service was okay, but not great. The bartenders need to split up who they are helping so they don't continually ask the same clients the same questions. (Though this is not a bad problem too have-too helpful:)) love the atmosphere and set up, but there needs to be some organization and better food offering. read more

This was a charming spot to find at the end of the day. The place had quite a makeover from the previous business in the space. The plant wall was absolutely gorgeous and upon entering- the place was cozy and made me want to stay a while. They had a bar area then seating with comfortable sofas. It wasn't busy and the service was quick. We had the cheese fondue and chocolate fondue. They came in cute heart shaped dishes and a whole variety of things for dipping. The chocolate was my favorite! I would love to see some bananas and pound cake and cheesecake on the platter for dipping the next time! The cinnamon in the chocolate was incredible! So so fun! I had no idea this little shop would be the cutest interior with the most delicious food and drink! The cocktails are all amazing, and the bartenders were so great at recommending and allowing us to taste test their home made sodas. We had some of the hummus while we waited for the ramen menu to be available at 5pm. Ramen was also so so good! Went this weekend with family and had a wonderful evening! A ton of parking since only 2 spots in the center are open late. The staff were all friendly and helpful. We fit 5 comfortably in an area with a couch and chairs around a low coffee table. The vibes were immaculate and groovy. All of the snacks were super good - the onion dip was really good and the meat & cheese board had some excellent options on it. The cheese fondue was fine - lots of the dipping items didn't quite match up with the taste of the fondue, not sure we'd get it again. The dark chocolate fondue was so tasty and the dipping items were all great. The gin and tonic was really good and they had a great wine list! We'll be back for drinks and apps for sure! read more

Been twice. First for fondu and the chocolate fondu with chips is a great idea but the small bag of chips weren't enough for the chocolate. The drink was good. Second trip was full moon night which must happen nightly. Band was not good and really loud. We had some drinks and my wife enjoyed the fortune teller but couldn't hear most of it due to the band. Looking forward to trying the Ramen . Hopefully quieter. read more

Really cute spot as you're heading into James Island. It's a little bit tucked back behind some of the shops in the first plaza off of Wesley. My wife and I went in for a date night. Our primary target was the fondue however, we also heard great things about some of the cocktails that they can do there especially for me drinking non-alcoholic drinks. this place has options for everyone! We had the Ramen ordered the fondue as well as the popcorn. I'll be honest I didn't love the popcorn and the Ramen was not overly filling however, the pork and egg that were within it were out of this world. An amazing flavor, but might be more of a pre-dinner late afternoon snack type dish. The fondue came with a ton of different items for us to try assorted fruits and bakery items. My wife and I enjoyed it thoroughly. The big draw apart from the beautiful plants that were all over one of the walls were the fact these are handcrafted in house made sodas so these are original flavors that are made in house. I can't wait to go back for a cocktail date with friends just to be able to try some of the other wonderful sodas that they had. Service was a little bit slow, but one of the things that caused it be slow was the fact that the entire restaurant was packed as well as having a line of about 15 to 20 people waiting to order.
