Was excited to visit the coffee truck. Photos and ratings on Yelp caught my attention. Called the number several times (no answer) to ask about their location, as there was no mention of their location. Operating hours are listed as Mon-Fri, 8a-6p. Helpful somewhat. So I decided to drive 30 miles for a cup of coffee and a party (I just happened to fit time in to visit the truck due to being in the area). When I arrived at the business address noted in Yelp and on their website, I was at a commercial vehicle storage facility! WOW! Waste off a drive out of my way! Anyhow, missed opportunity. read more

We had the Sweet and Mellow truck at a holiday event in a park for about 200 people. Paul and team were there early and all set up before the first guests arrived. They had a wide variety of drink options (both hot and cold) and a great assortment of desserts. My daughters loved the sugar cookies (my youngest got one shaped like a snowman) and the cupcakes (they had both chocolate and vanilla). For me the stars of the show were the Raspberry Cream Cheese Filled Kronut and the Kouign-Amann (which I had never heard of before). The pastry part of the Kronut was nice and flaky and the raspberry cream cheese filling was really good and not overly sweet. When I first saw the Kouign-Amann, I thought it was going to be some kind of hard chewy danish. But something told me to try it anyway and I am so glad I did. It was soft, buttery, flaky and so good! They also had lemon bars which I wish that I had tried but I was just too full. Paul and his team were awesome. They were very friendly and took great care of all the guests. The worst food truck I have ever had the displeasure of visiting. The gentleman working the window was rude and they weren't familiar with the items they did or didn't have available. On the menu it stated Arnold Palmer - I asked for two. They said they were out of iced tea. Why not market that? You have signs everywhere saying no bottled water. So then I ask if the fresh lemonade was really fresh. He said "no, it's Costco lemonade. But it's organic." $4 for a cup of Costco lemonade????? So I order a strawberry Italian soda. Get to the window for pick up and I'm informed they don't have strawberry syrup. I had already paid and didn't want to deal with the refund, so I opted for watermelon. Lastly, the ice tasted dirty which gave my drink a horrible flavor. read more

We hired Paul and his team at Sweet and Mellow to provide coffee and pastries for our employees for an appreciation event when we reopened our offices at the end of May 2022. We hired them for three days and they were prompt, ready to go each day at the specified start time. Paul and his team were a pleasure to work with. They were very friendly and our employees loved interacting with them. Their coffee was great as well (I personally liked the mocha latte) and they had a great assortment of high-quality pastries that were delicious. Sweet & Mellow Truck definitely added the 'fun factor' to my daughter's wedding last weekend! Everyone raved about the gourmet desserts (delicious! huge!) and the specialty drinks. Paul & Denise and assistant did a fantastic job of serving everyone, in their gracious way. I was especially touched with the personal congratulations sign to the newlyweds and the sample tray they provided them, not to mention the personalized wedding color and shapes sugar cookies (pictures uploaded). Paul was super communicative through the whole process and very easy to work with. They even provided us with the leftover desserts that we could enjoy the next days. I reached out to the Sweet and Mellow truck to make my mom's quarantine birthday extra special (a tough task during COVID). Paul, the owner, was happy to help out, easy to coordinate with, and friendly. The truck was a huge hit with my mom and family. Lots of trips to the truck for the delicious pastries and drinks. These folks are horrible! I ordered Italian sodas and mentioned that they were for my children, so could they make it extra sweet? When I picked it up, it tasted pretty bland so I asked if they could put more syrup in, to which the male server said no- that's how we make it, and we're not going to do anything else. I literally had to beg to get two packets of sugar which didn't make the drink that much better. I know it's a truck but if you pay $3.75 for a drink you would expect it to not be such a big deal if you want to have a little more syrup in your drink, especially since it was for the kids. Boo on these people for being so cheap and having such poor customer service. read more

Sweet and Mellow was awesome at our Relay for Life event. They were scheduled to arrive at 8pm and stay for an hour...just to get people energized for night walking. They arrived an hour early and stayed until midnight! I did not hear any negative feedback for anyone at the event where there were approx 250 attendees. Everyone loved their coffees and loved the hearts in them. The pastries were ridiculously awesome. Homemade HoHos! I want one now and a mocha please! Paul & Denise are awesome, their drinks are awesome and they treats are awesome. I would totally (and will) work with them again on upcoming events and you should too! read more

Just used Paul and the Sweet and Mellow Truck for a Teacher Appreciation event at my son's school. It was a HUGE hit! We treated our teachers to a drink of their choice and a delicious pastry. Paul set up in the morning and was there when the teachers arrived so they could grab their stuff early or during their morning break an start their day off right. The truck is great, they made a custom sign for our event which had a personal touch. Coffee was delicious, pastries were yummy. Paul and his staff were friendly and personable. What a rip off! "Specialty lemon" was "Simply Leomnade" from the grocery store!! At $3.00 a cup! I sat them pour it from the container. You've got to be kidding. I ordered a latte and asked for two packets of sugar. They said they couldn't give me two. At $3.75 for a pretty ordinary latte, what a rip off. These guys are cheap. I've recently had the opportunity to enjoy a couple of offerings from Sweet and Mellow. Their cronuts are without rival--So delicious with flaky dough, creamy filling, and raspberry flavor! I also tried the s'more brownies, with homemade marshmallow filling and a solid chocolate layer--It made me feel like I had just put together a s'more by the campfire--only better! The peanut milk-flavored and Rice Krispie-topped, marshmallow-filled treat with brownie on the bottom is also not-to-be missed. Yum! I found out about the Sweet and Mellow truck when I reconnected with an old friend and co-worker who helps out on this wonderful gem of a coffee/pastry truck. I found out they would be at Bishop Ranch in San Ramon once a week and the timing was perfect! I found the coffee hot and full of flavor and pastry's to be delicious! Several times I brought everything back to my co-workers at San Ramon Regional Medical Center and they too became fans of everything this truck has to offer. I highly recommend the Red Eye coffee which is coffee and espresso and do yourself a favor and try the "Kouing Amann" pastry, It's a butter cake and to die for!
