I was looking for something sweet, and waffles sounded good, so I stopped by here! I will say they had a wide variety of things, and the place was so cool on the inside it was relaxing. I ordered the blackberry waffles and they were super good no complaints on taste at all but for what I order it was way to overpriced. Its just one (pretty small) waffle, and they skimped on the fruit so much there was I want to say like 4 whole blackberry's on my BLACKBERRY waffle lol. Oh my goodness! The waffles from Sweet As Waffles are so good! The menu is divided up between sweet option waffles and savory waffle options. I have had savory waffles and enjoyed them very much but we had lunch and our sweet tooth got the better of us. By the time it was all over we got three different sweet waffles. One was an Autumn themed waffle, a waffle with chocolate syrup on it and a waffle with apples with it. All three were simply fantastic! One thing to keep in mind as I strolled back on social media posts is the menu options for waffles change. It sounds seasonal on the ingredients they can get a hold of. So don't be surprised if Christmas rolls around that the Autumn themed waffle gets pulled off the menu. Also Sweet As Waffles is in like a food trailer(it didn't look like a food truck but there was one at the premises) and located near the patio of Stemma Brewing Company(which is a fantastic brewery btw). So if your GPS leads you to a brewery and not a waffle place that is the reason. They are more or less at the same spot(but could have their own building number for addresses, I'm not too sure on that). I'm a gluten free meat eating vegan (new allergies) who loves to dine out. I was so happy to discover that Sweet As Waffles accommodates my diet. I had the Vegan Egg Zeppelin. It was really good, but dry so I asked for and was given (free of charge) some maple syrup. My husband had the Morning Glory and said it was fantastic. Sweet as waffles? I had a savory waffle with goats cheese. It wasn't sweet, but it was good. My wife ordered a coconut waffle, and it must have been sweet, because I got none of it. When I ordered I was so excited that the number for my table was attached to a plastic dinosaur. But I was told not to get too attached to it, since they would like it back. When the food arrived each waffle had a miniature plastic dinosaur guarding the goodness. And you could Thakur that one home! Or return it in a jar and they would clean, disinfect and reuse. I loved the waffles from the brewery. We got them to go and then ate them by the water front. Well we tried the brick and mortar and. Well I ordered a gluten free waffle sandwich and ended up with a vegan meat instead of pastrami. Yes I should have taken it back. But after waiting 45 minutes for take out that was delivered to us not boxed up. I really didn't want to deal with the situation outdoors again. I got sick from eating soy curls. Great Yelp event here, my first time here and to Stemma. The staff are all so friendly and I love their cute little truck. My husband opted for a sweet waffle and I went with savory. I chose their special buffalo chicken waffle sandwich. It had roasted shredded chicken, blue cheese, coleslaw, and buffalo sauce. I also opted for their pesto spread to go with my chips and waffle. The waffles are very good, and the sandwich was huge, very filling. It was a great mix of tangy, savory, and a little sweet from the waffle. My husband had the cheesecake inspired waffle with graham cracker and Oreo crumbs. It was delicious.
