Best German Chocolate Cake ever! From 1983 until it closed in 2018, I bought my cakes and pastries from Virginia Bakery, even after I moved to Sacramento in 1993. I couldn't find a German Chocolate Cake anywhere near Virginia Bakery's quality. Until I found Sweet Bites Bakery & Brunch. I read a review and ordered the cake online. The cake was just like Virginia Bakery. Plus the decoration for Cal football was over the top. I'm so glad that I made the trip. One thing to mention is that Sweet Bites doesn't have as big a display as Virginia Bakery so I would recommend ordering online or call and see if it has what you're looking for. read more

The fried chicken here is good, but the tiramisu is a travesty. If it were in a blind taste test, it would just be described as a generic cream filled cake. There's virtually no tiramisu taste at all. It's a generic white cake with cinnamon powder on top. Please don't call it a tiramisu. If we somehow got a fluke let me know!
