Family owned and operated. Fee prices are very reasonable. A latte is only four dollars and across San Pablo. A latte is nearly 8 dollars. I ordered a breakfast skillet with soy chorizo and it was yummy. Two desserts came home with me, a slice of chocolate cake I believe it was called chocolate, heaven, and an apple pie. I really enjoyed the desserts. They are not super sweet and simply delectable. I can't wait to try the fried chicken. read more

So happy to have a place to order cakes and cupcakes from in our neighborhood! The family-owned shop feels like home and they have the warm personalities to match. The cafe is small, but still family-friendly. We came for brunch with three families and 7 kids!!! The kids had fun w the provided crayons and drawing pads, and loved the fresh squeezed juices. We ordered the matcha a skillet, pull/apart French toast, and hot croissant sandwich and all were delicious! Friendly, small, neighborhoody, family owned and exceptionally clean, this new dig offers high end pastries and a great little menu, as well. Only opened about a month, you are greeted as soon as you walk in. The menu board above is hard to read because the lettering font is just too small. Fortunately, they have paper menus, too. Met a friend there last week and we were so delighted we chose Sweet Bites. We tried two items: The Crispy Chicken Burger. This fried chicken sandwich, which is probably the BEST fried chicken sandwich I've ever had, is actually big enough for two. Its Juicy, tender and not dried out; (like a lot of fried chicken sandwiches out there) this one is one you must try. It's served on a Brioche bun with your choice of Buffalo or BBQ sauce. The fresh Cole slaw on top is the perfect amount, consistency, and not dripping all over the place; other places have a dripping messing sandwich. The fries, however, were a complete disappointment. The were limp, warm and way too salty. They may not have been deep fried. They weren't crispy at all. Air Fryer perhaps? In any event, these fries needed help. The second dish we ordered was a Skillet. We chose a "Soy Rizo Skillet" (soy Chorizo), scrambled eggs, potatoes, tomatoes, onions, cilantro, baguette toast and red salsa. Really a fantastic, tasty dish, served in a cute little skillet. I saved my leftovers and it was even better the next day. Again, enough for two, I feel. This is a small cafe, with a few tables and other tall tables with stools. There is a small area with other comfy seating, too, and seats at the windows facing San Pablo Avenue. This is a great area with several good eateries, a post office, Mi Tierra Foods, and other establishments you can walk to. Sweet Bites is the latest family to join the neighborhood and a great addition to the neighborhood. I will go back for sure. read more

Sweet bites is a wonderful place and they treat you very well! They will bend over backwards for you. There was a little confusion for an order on Thanksgiving Eve. And they apologized and made it right for me. I highly recommend this place and the food is wonderful. Please try the peach cobbler pie it is to die for! And they have it hot for when you pick it up. Service perfecto! Breakfast is ample and sweet or savory! Incredible apple turnovers. The french toast is out of this world. Orange juice Bobo is very original. Then the lunch menu is just as amazing with the fried chicken so lite you can hardly believe it is fried. Try the fried chicken salad for an original big meal. All this is before the most amazing Tres Leches cakes you rver did have.... I can't decide my favorite so I get different one each time. Wish u had taken a pick of my chicken but I was too hungry and too ready to eat to think about it. If you ever lived in the south or are from the south, get the fried chicken! It's like my Mom cooked it! So delicious! The Mac and cheese and so dang good too. Also, the desserts are amazing! Don't sleep on this place. Family owned and family ran. Whipped cream, custard, and fresh strawberries are what I chose for my 70th birthday cake. It was absolutely delicious. We enjoyed cake that day and the day after. I went here a couple of days ago for the first time with my person! He ordered a really delicious croissant sandwich with bacon that I couldn't help but steal bites from... the croissant was homemade and so so mouthwatering and there were so many different beautiful looking pastries in the front display, all homemade. The staff was really friendly and attentive... it's a relaxing and warm place to land to get away from the chaos of San Pablo. Definitely worth another visit. My first visit we only had coffee and tea and great service. The second time I visited I went for desserts and decided on the small pies, three in fact (peach cobbler, pecan and sweet potato) as well as a slice of tres leches cake. All of them were a hit at the dinner party for a group of 6 people. There were so many MMMMMMMmmmm's around the table I lost track of which got more, but they took pictures of the bakery name and you have new fans. This woman owned business serves mouth watering desserts and delicious breakfast and lunch. The fried chicken is crisp and light and the breakfast is delicious and a good portion. I love that the breakfast is served in a small frying pan. The owners also operate this enterprise including their young daughter. And the service is friendly, sociable and personable. I wanted to add on to the review posted by Kyla R. We ordered this cake for my birthday last Friday and picked it up around 6 pm. Kyla had specified the order to be a vegan vanilla tres leches cake, and was informed that the cake might taste like coconut due to the way the cake is soaked, which they understood. When we cut into the cake, surrounded by my friends at my house, I was disappointed to see that the cake was layers of chocolate with vanilla frosting and strawberries, very different than what I had ordered. Since it was 9 pm on a Friday, and my guests were already there, I just served the cake to them. Kyla called them in the next couple days and left a voicemail which we did not hear back from. Today (the following Thursday), Kyla called the bakery and spoke with the manager about a potential mix-up. The manager told Kyla that it was darker due to the way the cake was soaked, to which Kyla told them that the cake was chocolate, and was confused why that was the case. I then took over and spoke to the manager, telling them about how I expected it to be spongy and vanilla since it is a Mexican traditional cake. She told me that she is Mexican and does not need me to tell her what a tres leches cake is and said she has been in the business for a long time, to which I apologized and said I might not be the most educated on the subject. She claimed that tres leches refers to the soak of the cake, not the flavor, and said since it is vegan the only two options were vanilla and chocolate and how chocolate is the default. She told me that their most popular version was Strawberry Haven, which is why she asked Kyla if we wanted strawberries in the cake (they had said yes). I told her the strawberries were not the issue and were what we had requested, but I wanted to bring this up since I, along with maybe others, thought that tres leches is more of a spongy, vanilla milk cake, so that is what I thought I was ordering and that they might want to clarify that when the order is being placed. She kept telling me again that the options were chocolate or vanilla, and I had to tell her repeatedly that I understood that, and my partner requested vanilla. She asked then what I would like her to do since she has customers and needs to get back to her own work, which I was surprised about since we had not even been talking for an extensive amount of time (maybe 5-7 minutes). I also was a customer and did not feel prioritized in the interaction. She said my options were either remaking the cake with the correct flavor or bringing the unserved cake back for a refund, which I understand why they do but I had already served the cake since they were closed when my celebration was happening, so I was not sure if they would have liked me to tell my guests that we are only cutting into the cake and not eating it. I also am not sure what I would do with another cake, which I told her, and was met with silence. I would have liked to hear an apology or clarification on how that mix-up occurred and what they would do to ensure that does not occur in the future. I do appreciate how these options were offered to me, but I do not understand how they were viable options for an event that has now passed, especially since Kyla had reached out multiple times before. For a $93 cake that was entirely not what I ordered, I was disappointed. As a final note, I took the time to research what a tres leches cake is, to which I only see it described along the lines of "fluffy vanilla cake filled with three kinds of milk and topped with homemade vanilla whipped cream frosting". Every single one of the recipes does not include chocolate. I do wonder how familiar this bakery is with this type of cake and will be supporting authentic Mexican bakeries instead. read more

I ordered a vegan tres leches cake expecting to receive ones similar to what I saw online. Instead, the bakery just assumed that I wanted a chocolate cake and insisted that I bring the cake into the store. Since the cake was for an event and the bakery was closed once I cut into it, I was not able to bring the cake in for a refund. Just wanted to let others know that the cake they serve for the tres leches is chocolate by default. I talked to them over the phone and they were short and unhelpful in terms of resolving this issue. read more

So tasty with lots of vegan options! The dragon fruit and strawberry smoothie was fresh and delicious. I also had the tangy jackfruit burger and country potatoes which were both great and filling. Kiara is so pleasant with a wealth of great ideas and suggestions, baker Amanda creates magic and Fanny by their side is wonderful. Ordered custom decorated organic strawberry heaven wedding cakes (6" and 1/2 sheet) which tasted as exquisite as they looked; absolutely "to die for!" BTW they already use organic flour, etc so only organic strawberries were extra. The strawberry macaroons dusted in silver with similar vintage flower decor were also simply amazing! Everything was a huge hit, they accommodated everything with kind patience and even the early pickup was a breeze. What a find! Will be back. read more

The fact that all the guests, aged 15 to 80, at my adult son's birthday dinner raved about the cupcakes was just the icing on the cake for a completely pleasant, positive experience. The young woman behind the counter was as helpful as could be in helping me make up my mind, even going so far as to ask her mother, the baker, if she could make a smaller cake in an hour, which she could, but then I saw the cupcakes. For context, i have been in three times and purchased from here twice. First time, I stopped by because I live nearby and just checked out the selection. Usually this would give me anxiety because of the worker, but she was nothing but sweet and answered a few questions i had about their selection. Later I swing by and bring my roommate and we get two cakes, the peach tres leche and trip chocolate. Both were amazing but the tres leches was unlike anything I had before. Fresh, diced peaches filled the inside of an incredibly moist and DELICIOUS cake. Today I came in on my lunch, in a hurry, and got the chorizo croissant sandwich with fries. It came out quickly and when I tell you I absolutely DEVOURED that sandwich.... So incredibly good and the egg was so delicious. I will absolutely be back!
