Great spot! Get there early. I had a biscuit sandwich. I was in love. Haven't had a biscuit in forever. Prices were reasonable and service was friendly. I also got a cinnamon roll, which was so good! There's not really anywhere to sit, it's a grab and go sitch, but these goodies were definitely worth the visit. Go!

Now self service which expedites service and opens up the space exponentially. There is a Turkish man who works there who is LOVELY and I enjoy our interactions- he's warm welcoming and helpful! I had a lemon poppyseed muffin this time and OMG lemony goodness with not too much sugar and poppin poppyseeds !! Want to try them again while they have them- YUM

I'm trying to find all the great gluten free places in the DMV area and this one is pretty awesome! The staff was friendly and patient as we asked a ton of questions. The place is cute but very small- not a lot of places to sit and eat. Seemed to be mostly take out orders. We tried so many items. Landing on a few favorites. The biscuit sandwich... this is the best GF biscuit I have found yet. Still a little dry for my liking but again GF biscuits are way harder to find that taste good! The almond raspberry cake was YUM! And the donut holes were perfect! They had GF flours you could purchase as well! A most visit if you are in town and GF!

Ordered an apple cider donut, banana bread, vanilla cupcake and cinnamon bun via uber eats. I almost ordered the donut holes but at $3+ a pop, opted not to, especially since I can get those from Trader Joe's and from Katz for a fraction of the cost. Not sure what they are in store but they are probably inflated in the online ordering app too. Turns out my banana bread was pumpkin bread. They also sent me a red velvet cupcake instead of vanilla, so I was a little sad about that, until I had a bite of the apple cider donut. All I can say is WOW. I've had my fair share of GF donuts and this one was by far the best. So much flavor, so much granulated sugar, so moist. I wish I ordered more. The rest of it was pretty up there too, wrong order and all.

A gluten free pal's HIDDEN GEM! Got a sandwich here (which I always appreciate, I find them to be more rare than bakeries these days), but also of course - multiple pastries. All were 5/5+ stars - sooo delicious. I also came around the holidays, and best believe I got their sugar cookies - sooo freaking good. I remember wishing I had purchased more. Can't wait to return!

A must try from gluten free peps in the DMV! I've bought their baked goods mixes from shop made DC, but the food is even better when they make it lol. I tried the pumpkin cupcake, apple cider donut, and the bacon egg and cheese biscuit. Everything was delicious and moist, which is something that's difficult to do with gluten free food. Also they have a patio outside you can sit and eat at! When the mosquitoes aren't out, it's lovely.

Staff is probably some of the best people ever, they are so friendly, smile a lot and have good humor. This is the second time we've come here, I forgot to review the first and not sure what we ordered... but this second time... everything was disappointing. Donuts have a healthy taste, almond flour? Outside glaze was good but would not get again. I think the cinnamon bun was inedible, we did heat it up, my kid liked it though. I for sure got the Gruyère sandwich before, and ordered it again for kids. They wouldn't even eat it. And we love gruyere in our house! I finished it, and it really wasn't as good as I remember. My friend, who was not gf, said her sandwich was inedible. Bread just tasted too eggy. She got a blt I believe. Not sure we will come back after this. And I hate saying that, we love to support gf bakeries! Maybe we just ordered the wrong items! I do feel like ppl swear by these donuts but we have had much better gf donuts in the DMV area.

Overpriced and they charge you $1.50 for a cup of water. Food is ok, but not worth the price. Don't recommend.

I went for the buffet brunch at Dear Sushi. I'm not a hugh sushi eater but I loved the cooked stuff. I'm not super adventurous on the raw lol. The buffet is $65 and a 20% gratuity is added. The price was ok with me. There were plenty of food options for me to chose from and the service was good. We sat the bar, Jose and Molly were awesome and mixed up some delicious drinks. The food was delicious. Highlights for me were the fried chicken ( not sure of the correct name), milk bread (had to limit myself, I love bread lol), dumplings ( could have takien the whole tray lol), grilled salmon, and the tempura cauliflower. Another standout was the donuts from the dessert section. These donuts were so lite and airy. Almost guilt free when you bit into them. I would definitely return for brunch or to try out one of the other spots.

The selections were varied and beautifully presented, and we even added an extra plate of nigiri, which was excellent. The fish was fresh and delicious, and I especially appreciated that they served real wasabi, rather than the typical prepared version found at many sushi restaurants. That said, I went into the experience expecting a more intimate, traditional omakase setting. I didn't realize Love, Makoto is such a large, lively restaurant, and the omakase didn't have the personal, chef-driven experience I was hoping for. The dishes were essentially brought out to us with a quick "enjoy," rather than being prepared and presented directly in front of us with an explanation of each selection. I also found the menu structure a little limiting, as each of the restaurant's four sections seems focused on its own specific offerings. Overall, I really enjoyed the food and thought the quality was very good, but for a future omakase experience, I'd probably look for somewhere smaller and more intimate where the chef interaction and presentation are more central to the experience. TIP: The Hiya Izakaya section was a decent place to get a cocktail in advance of dinner.

From the moment we walked in, the staff set the tone with a signature cocktail, Polaroid photos, and a New Year's Eve themed atmosphere that felt magical and intentional. We sat at the center of the chef's table, where watching Chef Tyler and his team work was a masterclass in precision and care. Every dish was an elevated, nostalgic nod to childhood favorites like fish and chips reimagined as black cod & caviar, buttered noodles transformed into delicate, mind‑opening gnocchi, and a playful pork‑and‑beans course that transported my husband straight back to age six. The wine pairings were thoughtful and beautifully matched to each course. Chef Tyler took time to connect with us personally, sharing stories of growing up in North Carolina that made the flavors even more meaningful. The music, the pacing, the service, every detail was curated. And the birthday finale, a pancake "cake" with a butter candle, brought me to tears. This wasn't just dinner; it was an experience crafted with heart, creativity, and intention. I'm deeply grateful to every hand involved.
