    Iced sugar cookie

Sweet Mandy B's may just be my favorite bakery in Chicago! If you haven't paid a visit yet, I highly recommend placing this spot on the short list. I stopped by around the end of the day in a Sunday and foot traffic was still going strong. The staff was very patient and provided great recommendations. This time, I opted for the frosted sugar cookie and the seasonal Neapolitan cupcake. Let me be clear: I've had quite a few cookies in my time, and this may top the list! It was buttery, super soft and thick, with a mountain of fresh buttercream frosting. Amazingly, it was actually not too sweet. The Neapolitan cupcake was fluffy and fresh- the alternating strawberry, chocolate, and vanilla frosting made each bite delicious and interesting. The crunchy nonpareils on each contrasted with the soft dough perfectly. Absolutely can't wait to visit again and try their other delicious treats!

We are so glad we chose Sweet Mandy B's for our wedding cake. Our guests could not stop raving about how delicious it was. One of the biggest reasons we went with them is that their cakes are moist, flavorful, and truly enjoyable to eat. Many wedding cakes from other vendors can feel dense or heavy, but Sweet Mandy B's stood out immediately for taste and texture. We ordered a three tier cake with raspberry preserve and vanilla buttercream, and it ended up being one of the best cakes we have ever had. They may offer fewer topping or decoration options than some other bakeries, but the cake itself tastes incredible and is absolutely worth it. Our guests loved it, and we did too. We would happily recommend Sweet Mandy B's to any couple looking for a wedding cake that tastes as good as it looks.

I love the bakery . I had a cookie and a cupcake . We ordered a pie before. Good service It's a busy store with a nice show case. Fast moving lines . It's well lit . They are sweet to say the least !

The most quintessential bakery that there is! It takes all of the classics and does them like no other. My favorite items are the iced sugar cookie, banana cream pie and the chocolate peanut butter rice krispie. I used to walk 3 miles to this place to make this guilty pleasure feel more guilt-free.

Believe the hype, because this place deserves every bit of it. Great tasting cookies of all sorts, but the true standouts are the rice pudding, flourless chocolate cake, and especially their birthday cake with buttercream frosting. I simply won't go anywhere else when I'm in need of a cake. They even do some custom cakes if you order ahead of time, though i don't know how crazy they can get with them. My wife and i ordered a simple two tier cake with a custom Dr. Seuss look for our son's first birthday, and it turned out great, both in looks and taste. One word of warning, and this isn't the bakery's fault, but parking in the area can be a real hassle. Be warned. Aside from that, this place is awesome!

    Great birthday cake!

I ordered a birthday cake for drummer who volunteers at my church and was not disappointed! The sheet cake was dark chocolate with thick buttercream frosting! The art was a drum, drumsticks, music notes and birthday message. They delivered on time and everyone wanted seconds! My go to is always Sweet Mandy B's!

Walking down Webster, we spotted a bakery with all kinds of delights inside, and a long line which is my first signal that this is a place worth trying. We stopped into Sweet Mandy B's and got a few cupcakes, a Coffee & Caramel Brownie, and today's special, the Peanut Butter Chiffon pie. I don't know which one was the best because they all went so fast. The cupcakes were moist and tender, the Peanut Butter Chiffon Pie was amazing, which is why it was gone in a few bites. And I tried to make the Caramel & Coffee Brownie last longer by taking smaller bites, but that didn't really work, either. The only solution? Stop by Sweet Mandy B's one more time! You should too!

Came to this place for some sweet and I am in Logan square. The selection isn't big but enough for you to try at least 5 different things (me) I got a banana pudding cup, a raspberry bar, chocolate chop, ranger cookie, and a apple strudel pie slice. The server were very nice and welcoming. You can dine in and it's street parking. Would come back.

Wonderful quality at a great price! We ordered a 9" round for our wedding (just to cut and have the first bite together as our venue provided other desserts to the rest of the guests). The team at Sweet Mandy B's was great to work with and matched our wedding crest/design to perfection! Tasted great and was overall a smooth, pleasant process. I would recommend them to anyone else looking for a custom design on a tasty cake. :)

Popped in to bring some treats home to Houston. Very cute bakery with cupcakes, pies, brownies, cookies and rice crispy treats. We snapped up some rice crispy treats and a snicker doodle that my doodle loving husband called damn good.

Sweet Mandy B's is my favorite bakery! I first had it back in 2018 and it's been my standing Chicago tradition! My cousin and best friend live in the city and they know to get my order for our meet ups outside chicago. They've gone through TSA to get me my treats. Multiple times. That's love. Frosting is life. I have strong feelings that sauce is boss. Is frosting the bakery equivalent? It is in my book and Sweet Mandy B's serves it up! It's not overly sweet, has just the right amount of salt, and just perfection. We are so deep into it that my cousin's fiancé had a tub of frosting for her the night he proposed. He knows. I usually stick with the classic sugar cookie or rice crispy treat with frosting, but all things are fresh and delicious. They usually have GF cookies! They'll do custom orders and have lots of fun cake flavors. Obvi we have even gotten grandma's birthday cake there too. Just go. It's so cute too!

I've been a customer of almost 10 years and have been obsessed since they first opened their doors at a different location. I literally live an hour away without traffic and even longer with traffic, but I make sure to stop by or send someone else to get it for me at least once a month or more. I love the amazing cakes that are so delicious and unique but on top of that, it is Asian owned, LGBTQ supporting, etc. A lot has changed since their little storefront with no seating. The bakery is now a full on cafe and I'm so happy to see how much they've grown and how successful they are. And while it is glorious, I will say I miss the sweet neighborhood charm and great customer service it used to have. Getting in touch with the bakery through phone or text can be tough and to be honest, sometimes one of the people working there is kind of...very mean. It had me questioning if I should keep coming back. I just love this bakery so much though and being raised by parents that had a small food business, I can't help but want to support. I had a particularly difficult last minute request for the bakery a few weeks ago and I was reminded why this place is so great. It had been YEARS since I made this specific request, which was an order for a slice of cake for every flavor and a cupcake for every flavor. This is a BIG and time consuming request, especially if it's last minute. Unfortunately I come to the city whenever the traffic isn't atrocious, so it's always last minute. Dom absolutely pulled through though. Even though there were other employees there (I saw two others but one disappeared and then another male was kind of walking around the cafe and such), Dom took this giant request and fulfilled it himself. The other gentleman (not the mean person previously mentioned) was actually who I made the request to, but he told Dom to do it. I was kind of confused why they didn't do it together but idk, maybe the other guy isn't allowed to handle food? Who knows. Regardless, this request obviously took a long time and the line was getting longer; people were getting a little restless but Dom stayed calm but was swift. I swear he was moving faster than most people in the industry could with a cake knife like that. He was not impatient or rude to me at all. He was just there to do his job as fast and well as possible. It's so rare to see that type of work ethic. He is also so obviously proud of the bakery and the food they serve which makes you feel good about being a patron there. So although I continue to have an unpleasant experience with one particular employee there, Dom keeps my love for this bakery alive. He reminds me of what this bakery was like when they first opened their doors. I hope Dom is cherished there and I bet he is considering his work ethic. I will continue to support this bakery and I recommend everyone else to support as well. It may not be that small little shop anymore but Dom is a reminder of the heart of the place.

Seating is pretty limited, but it looked like most folks were picking up pastries to go, but either way you order at the front one party at a time. Truffle Croissant (5/5): A must get, super intense black truffle against a perfectly flaky and chewy buttery croissant. The large bits of pearl sugar add pops of sweetness that I loved. Mango Tart (4.75/5): Mango really shines through with melt in your mouth texture and fruity sweetness. Coconut pasty cream adds almost a nutty flavor and luscious mouthfeel to contrast against the lightly crunchy cookie crust. Prosciutto Croissant (4.5/5): Pastry again impeccable with sharp saltiness from the prosciutto and cheese. Still absolutely delicious, but hard to recommend with how good the other items were. Longanisa Breakfast Sandwich (5/5): Another life changing bite. Hash brown add on is unbelievably crunchy against the egg bite that is pillowy soft and fluffy roll. Longanisa is salty and sweet, just the best way to start your morning. Lumpia (3.75/5): Comes out piping hot and the meat still stays juicy and bouncy. Good, not crazy. Filipino Breakfast with Longanisa and Tocino (4/5): Garlic rice is fluffy, but heavy on the garlic exactly like I love it. Sunny side up eggs were perfectly cooked and the two meats were actually the weakest components, a bit chewier than expected. Chicken Adobo (4.25/5): Chicken has almost a nice char on the outside and doused in a tangy sauce with crispy garlic bits. Tender and juicy, personally preferred this over the longanisa and tocino. Sweet Corn Hojicha (2/5): Only real whiff that we tried. While you could really taste the corn, unfortunately ended up being wayyyy too sweet and I couldn't have more than a sip or two.

The sandwich came out in less than 5 minutes! It was definitely a good, tasty sandwich, but I wouldn't say it was amazing. Flaky dough, soft pistachio center and creamy top with a sharp citrus cut. Peach + raspberry Melba danish. The peaches were soft. I'm not familiar with a Melba dessert but the center of this was almond paste which is not my favorite but if you like almond and tart danish it would hit the spot. Raspberry espresso cream cheese cinnamon roll was a fun fruity twist to a cinnamon roll. Couldn't really tell there was espresso though. Blueberry lime cheesecake danish. I went on a weekday and there was still a good selection of pastries left around 11am. The staff was super nice and helpful as I struggled to make a decision. They shared that the strawberry milk croissant was their bestseller, so I opted for that. It was filled with fresh strawberry mascarpone and fresh strawberry puree. Despite the croissant's decadent appearance, it was not at all too sweet. I'm not typically the biggest croissant fan (I know, I know, no one is perfect) but this pastry blew me away. The filling was super generous without overpowering the delicate dough, which was baked to crispy perfection.
