Had a really wonderful Sunday afternoon here. New cafe has been on our list, so first time visiting and we will absolutely be back. Shared a sandwich with my wife, each half was plenty to share - and they even accommodated subbing turkey instead of ham no problem. Sandwich was really flavorful, loved it! Hit the spot. And the Americano was seriously one of the best I've ever had. Prices were very fair compared to most other places these days. I really appreciated that. The ambiance was very nice, many places to sit inside and work, good WiFi. Clean and spacious, good self serve area with water, silverware and even honey for teas. Not common. Music was very chill playlist and not blaring loud, could still chat. Eventually a pianist came in and that was nice as well. Bathrooms were clean, nice smelling soap and paper towels! Big check yes. We look forward to coming back, it's on our very short list of spots we will continue to spend time at. I never write reviews but I had to come home and share this one. read more

Such a lovely little cafe and creative space! The iced chai was great (as North Fork always is) and the avocado toast was soooo good. Bonus points for not skimping on the avocado; there was a generous amount, therefore being well worth the $10. The walls and shelves are adorned with pieces for sale by local artists. This cafe hit the bullseye in terms of having a local community vibe. Staff is very kind and contributes well to the very chill atmosphere. The location surprised me, as there isn't much in the parking lot, but I ended up really loving it. It is nestled in a quiet corner of the lot and is very easily accessible. Sweet Music Studio Cafe has been in business since their grand opening on January 21 to a packed house. Out 2 Lunch Band serenaded everyone with sing-along songs from the 60s - 80s. Well, I was singing along from my nearby table. My hubby and I enjoyed one of their delicious and filling pastrami sandwiches, loaded with lots of meat, crunchy pickles and just the right stuff! You order at the counter and they bring you your food and/or beverage; so many to choose from. They have a great sound system, curtained backdrop for the musicians, lots of weekly events as Open Mic every Thursday night, Sunday afternoon performers and nights of jazz. What a cute spot! The interior of this cafe is spacious but still manages to feel very cozy. There's a bunch of art on the walls from local artists and music gear tucked by the window. There's ample seating and I saw a few people working on their laptops. Service was quick and friendly. I ended up getting their flash brew with cold foam that was absolutely delicious. It's so exciting to have an independent coffee spot so close to home. Although a little hidden, it's easy to find and I will definitely be back. I'd also like to catch their open mic at some point. read more

When you combine a full size brick-and-mortar coffee shop with a live music venue, the end result can come up with something absolutely innovative and creative. Which takes me the suburbs of Sacramento where I had the opportunity in trying out "Sweet Music Studio Cafe". Located directly on Greenback Lane and just east of Fair Oaks Blvd in Citrus Heights, this place has been opened since Friday 1/23/2026. The building itself was once home to a salon for many years as the space has changed ownership a few times over past decades. I came here during the afternoon on Thursday 2/12/2026 at around 3:00pm. Parking was fairly easy to find as many of the surrounding businesses were not in close proximity. However, this place has excellent hours of operation as they are opened for business Tuesday through Saturday from 10am-10pm, Sunday from 9am-9pm, and closed on Mondays. The best thing about this is that you can enjoy your hot or iced coffee/espresso drinks early in the day or come see some live music with beer or wine during the evening. The layout itself is quite impressive as they offer ample open seating throughout. Additionally, there is a ton of local artwork as well as display areas that offer merchandise for sale; coffee, clothing, books, etc. The actual coffee bar is located in the rear part of the building while you will notice band equipment towards the main entrance. Everything as far as space is very well executed as this places utilizies their square footage very efficiently. As for my drink, I went with a simple caramel macchiato while my lady opted for an iced vanilla latte. They offer quite a few more coffee & espresso options as well as hot chocolate, matcha, and tea. As for the food selection, they carry a small assortment of pastries as well as a small variety of sandwiches, bagels, and croissants. And if you're in the mood for an alcoholic drink, they carry several popular beer options on draft and at least a dozen types of wine to choose from. All in all, the experience that we received was superb and the cool laid back vibe, ambiance, and feel of this place is a perfect area to study in the daytime and see some cool live music at night. Such a nice, cozy coffee spot! The space is beautifully laid out with plenty of room between tables, so it never feels cramped--perfect for relaxing or catching up with friends. Drinks are decently priced, which is always appreciated. I ordered the matcha latte and it was excellent--smooth, well-balanced, and not bitter at all. A big bonus is that the matcha isn't pre-sweetened like most places, so you can customize the sweetness exactly to your taste. The staff was warm and welcoming, which really adds to the overall experience. Definitely a place I'd come back to and recommend! read more

I read some of the other reviews, but didn't really know what the vibe was coming into here. Came here on a Saturday afternoon. And it turned out to be a very pleasant experience. And I can't wait to come back. The cafe is well decorated and the seating works for the performances and for great conversation with coffee. There is also a nice selection of board games available the enjoy. We played a game of scrabble. The coffee was good and reaso able priced as was the cheese sandwhich. The only thing I woild have done different is include the tea bag in with the hot tea....which was a bit pricey for a cup. Adding the tea bag would have facilitated a refill. The entertainment this night was a flutist bames Bryan Quinn. He turned out to be very entertaining and though we didnt expect to, stayed foe his whole show. read more

Me and my partner went to this cutie cafe for brunch before thrifting, the atmosphere is so pleasant and the playlist ate down. They have a piano and a drum set from what I saw and also they had outlet ports everywhere, thankfully. The worker was very attentive and helpful. Onto the food, both of the ham and cheese sandwiches were very yummy. The croissant sandwich was bigger than expected but it was only 5 bucks. They were both really fresh. The chocolate croissant had a bit less chocolate filling than i thought it would have but it was still super yummy. And I asked for some cream cheese for my croissant and she gave me a small container no charge which is honestly hard to find nowadays. I definitely want to come back for jazz night! read more

Absolutely delightful and welcoming! Yay for a new local small business! -Unpretentious, with a clean but cozy vibe. There is local art on the walls available for sale, and a little section where you can buy merch, coffee related items, and music-y things. -Service was fast and friendly, and the team seemed happy to be there. -The drinks were reasonably priced, and alternative milks were available for the lactose intolerant girlies. I had an iced chai latte, and my partner had a cortado (so, nearly polar opposites, haha). -A couple of nice beer options on tap, and wine. It's just okay. Trying to see the vision. Was disappointed in the milk selections (only dairy alt and whole milk, no lower or non fat options), ordered a coffee drink that tasted like bland chocolate milk, tried sandwiches and did not care for them. Location is lame but the place itself is cute and the owners have obviously put their heart into the place. Nothing about it really made us want to return unfortunately. read more

I was excited to see this new cafe finally opened. Popped in for a coffee, and saw they also served lunch. Absolutely worth it. Everyone working there was great, friendly and welcoming. Loved the vibe inside, with art on the walls, music setup in the corner. Might be a regular spot for me to pop into when I need a change of scenery while I work (remotely). This place is a delight! Staffed my the nicest, gentlest people, Sweet Music Studio Cafe is a cozy oasis in Citrus Heights near Sunrise Mall. They have very good savory and sweet things to eat and drink, including sandwiches, beer and wine, all kinds of coffee and tea concoctions, and soft drinks as well. ALSO... MUSIC!
