At dinner, we shared the sausage appetizer - so tender and delicious! One of us had the seafood main course, which was huge and filled with so many different types of seafood and fish. We also had the chicken souvlaki, which is amazing. During our brunch, we shared the saganaki and pita -- the saganaki here is not to be missed. We also shared a delicious lamb burger that was tender, juicy and served with unique toppings. The accompanying Greek potatoes were also unique and very tasty. The service is always excellent here. There is also indoor and outdoor seating, and the outdoor seating has beautiful views. Reservations are not always necessary, but much more so on weekends. Love Vasili's!

The restaurant was half empty, with plenty of open seating both inside and outside, and there appeared to be 3-4 servers standing around with very little to do. Despite that, they refused to seat our party of six. I'm sure one of those servers would have appreciated our business and the gratuity that came with it. Unfortunately, it felt like the manager was more interested in proving a point than taking care of customers. Definitely not the kind of service I expected.

From my understanding, the restaurant has three levels: level one is for small plates, level two is for small events, and level three is intimate fixed-prix meals. We sat on the first floor in the way back next to the dessert bar. The AC was on full blast which was a bit uncomfortable but everything else was great. Our server, Nick, was excellent. We started with the tuna tower and goat cheese. The tuna tower was good but nothing super special. The goat cheese was a home run hit though! The combo of goat cheese sitting in the arrabbiata sauce was so flavorful and paired so well with the fresh focaccia slices. I ordered the char-grilled octopus as my meal and my partner had the fried chicken. We were both shocked when the fried chicken arrived. It was a HUGE portion and my partner said it tasted great! We also got dessert on the house for our anniversary- we chose the apple tarte tatin which was a more unique dessert. Basically it was a Granny Smith apple with a chocolate core wrapped in pie crust and paired with a scoop of ice cream.

They even promote their upstairs "lounge" which I was super excited about (thinking it's a place to sit and drink). Well, the first drink I ordered was a total flop. What was supposed to be crafted cocktail tasted more like something I'd get from a sports bar. I went with a cosmo for my second, thinking there's no way that could be messed up, but again, it just tasted cheap to me. The star of dinner was the chicken & cauliflower appetizer. It was tender and flavorful, with a kick from the chili glaze. The short rib was tender, but tasted like salt more than anything. Now to the "lounge"... we were told the lounge was located on the second floor. When we walked up, all we saw was a bar with a worker sitting there working (not making drinks). This lounge seems to be a small space that can be rented out for private events. Overall, not impressed. I don't have reason to go back

The new location is in the block 59 restaurant area, and they bring the same fun, creative taco concept. They have specialty tacos, inspired by different cuisines, so there's usually something for everyone. Each taco has its own unique flavor profile and twist. I tried the spicy tikka chicken, which is basically Indian food in a taco. Honestly, such a fun concept! It tastes very similar to the original dish. They also offer alcoholic beverages, although the drink selection varies by location. You can usually find margaritas in a few other options. One thing I noticed this time is that they are now offering bowls! I haven't tried one yet, but I'll definitely be back to give it a shot. Overall, I'm happy to see the spot making its way to the suburbs. If you like creative tacos, and want to try something a little different, it's worth the checking out. Lastly, the service is always quick and easy. You place an order at the front they call your name when your tacos are ready!

Been here several times. Great food, lively atmosphere, and so on…read more Today was our first carry-out. We were worried but not after we got home with our food. It was just as good as in the restaurant. We ordered for 4 people. The food was spot on. Tomahawk, 2 Vodka pastas, and the wagyu beef stroganoff. With two brussels sprouts sides, the cheese cake and banana pie. The deserts are to die for! I am amazed this carry-out was just as good as in the restaurant. Well packaged. Still fresh when we got home and as always here, tasty. Well done!

Baby, we started off on the WRONG foot. I came here with my family of eight, which I understand can…read morebe a little complicated for a restaurant, but honey, I made this reservation THREE WEEKS in advance. Three. Weeks. So I thought we were all set. Our reservation was for 6:00, and we arrived at 5:54. We were told to wait until six, which was perfectly fine. Six o'clock rolls around and we're told they're still cleaning the table. Okay, we wait. Then we wait. And wait. Thirty minutes later, we find out the people who had the table STILL hadn't even left. Baby...what exactly were we reserving three weeks ago, a future dream? They offered us a complimentary appetizer, which I appreciate in theory, but when you've got a party of eight waiting 40 minutes past their reservation time, I'm not really looking for the cheapest appetizer on the menu. I'm looking for the table I reserved. Eventually, we were seated, and thank GOD for our server Alexis B, because they completely turned the experience around. Funny, knowledgeable, incredibly kind, and genuinely one of the best servers I've ever had. If I could give them five stars separately, I would. They made us feel welcome and somehow kept the whole table laughing after that rocky start. The food had some hits and misses. The crab cake was a little too spicy for my taste, although the rest of the table enjoyed it. The mini sliders, however? DELICIOUS. That buttery, well seasoned bun was doing exactly what it needed to do. Then came my Entourage burger, and baby...THAT burger understood the assignment. It was absolutely packed with flavor. So good that I practically inhaled it. My server even asked if I wanted another one because apparently I ate it fast enough to qualify for a second round. Unfortunately, the management situation left a lot to be desired. After the issues getting our table, the managers seemed to keep watching our group throughout the night. If you're going to stare, baby, at least commit to the performance! It made an already awkward situation feel even more uncomfortable. Honestly, my server Alexis B, was the ONLY reason this experience ended on a positive note. They were so charming and personable that by the end, they felt more like a friend than a server. I'm genuinely going to miss them. The food was good, and that burger was fantastic, but a three-week reservation should not turn into a 40 minute wait with a party of eight standing around wondering when they're going to eat. So unfortunately, I'm leaving with two stars. The food gave me reasons to come back, but the reservation experience and management gave me reasons to stay home. And to my server: you were the star of the night. Protect this person at all costs.

The server was always on her phone. I asked her so many times to removed the dirty plates from the table and she completely ignored us. The ambiance was empty just a few orders to go. I ordered online for carry out and the platform was easy to navigate. Once my husband and I arrived at the resto we were greeted by a very kind staff member. Our food wasn't ready but within 5 mins of us being there it was good to go. We tried the wonton soup and chicken dumplings app. Both were on the bland side. Normally I'm used to wonton soup also having noodles and theirs does not. Flavors were OK, felt like both dishes were missing spices. Everything was cooked perfectly though. Maybe we ordered the wrong items from here and need to try others instead.
