I told him I needed an inexpensive dresser and nightstand for a rental property. He showed me exactly that--what he described as the cheapest set in the store. He didn't attempt to upsell, though his lack of enthusiasm was noticeable, and I did not appreciate Mr. Olmedo's attitude throughout the interaction. I asked if there were other options, and he took me to the next room, where he pointed out two additional sets. They were slightly more expensive but still reasonable. I liked the Tandisport dresser and nightstand. When I asked about the advertised 25% storewide discount, he explained that this set didn't qualify but offered $50 off each piece. The items were in stock and available for delivery by Friday. When I asked about delivery options, he seemed irritated that I wasn't ready to purchase yet. He briefly mentioned front‑door delivery and White Glove Delivery and said he'd explain more once I was ready to buy. I returned the next day to complete the purchase. Mr. Olmedo assisted me again. When we got to delivery options, the difference was $40, and White Glove Delivery included removing all packaging materials and placing the furniture in the desired room. Despite his impatience, I chose the White Glove option for $169.99. On delivery day, I was impressed by the AI feature that monitored the delivery. The driver called but was at the wrong entrance of the condo complex, so I met him at the gate and directed him where to park. The furniture arrived already unpacked. The team placed the pieces in the bedroom, but they did not remove the small packing inserts between the drawers. Since White Glove Delivery specifically includes removal of ALL packaging materials, I did not expect to be doing that myself. The delivery team also seemed rushed and didn't give me much time to inspect the furniture. Both pieces had MINOR blemishes--nothing severe, but still disappointing given the premium delivery fee. The in‑store experience was mixed, largely due to Mr. Olmedo's noticeably unenthusiastic/impatient attitude, which detracted from the overall experience. I did receive the furniture on the day we agreed, however the delivery service fell a little short of expectations. While the furniture itself is fine for my needs, the White Glove Delivery was may not be worth the added cost. I later discovered the same furniture pieces were listed for significantly less on Ashley's own website. I'll be following up to request a refund because the price difference is nearly $149 -- definitely worth pursuing. Stay tuned! FOLLOW UP: I spoke with an Ashley employee and explained that the two pieces I purchased were cheaper online. She checked with her manager to verify the price match and later called me back within an hour to confirm they would process a price adjustment. This was a great outcome, and for this reason I'm updating my rating from 3 stars to 4 stars.

You can't call the store and talk to anyone. It goes to a third-party. If you have bought furniture from Ashley's "DO NOT" sign the delivery forms. If you read these forms, you're giving up all your rights and protection for damaged goods. A lot of their furniture is damaged goods. My experience is that not once but three times Ashlie has delivered defective or broken items. The countless number of emails and phone calls is absolutely ridiculous. Living in the Bay Area, I flew down to Palm Desert on three separate occasions, specifically to try to exchange the damaged products. Trying to work with Ashlie's is an absolute nightmare and not worth it. Just get your money back and spend it at another store. Through several phone, conversations and emails, you cannot trust anything that they say. How do you consistently deliver damaged products to customers and expect for them to just accept your damage goods. I don't even speak of the delivery department. The first delivery, they did not have boots for their shoes, and so they tracked dirt all through my towels and onto my Persian As of today, I flew down after several conversations during the week stating specifically why I was flying down to Palm Desert to resolve the damage furniture issue that Ashley's continuously delivers. And they canceled the appointment without notifying me. Another wasted airfare, car rental, and two days of living wages!! They're a horrible company! Things are a little different now. We purchased a Beautyrest C-Class mattress a little under three years ago, but it had already begun sagging and causing problems. We later learned that this was a known issue with that particular model. After submitting a warranty claim, we received a credit toward a replacement mattress. We first stopped at the Redlands Mattress Firm while we were in town for lunch, and Chris helped us immediately without using any high-pressure sales tactics. We explained the problems we had experienced with our previous mattress, the comfort level we preferred, and that we needed better support for shoulder and hip pain as side sleepers. Chris directed us to three excellent mattresses, each with different benefits, and gave us plenty of space to try them, talk privately, and ask questions without hovering. After we found a Purple mattress we liked, Chris told us about a more plush version from the same collection that might better suit our preferences. He looked up which stores had it available to try and even called ahead to confirm that it was on the showroom floor before we made the drive. He also checked the expected delivery date and offered to waive the delivery fee. We then drove to the Cathedral City location to try the Purple RejuvenatePremier Crown mattress in a California King plush model. Erick was ready to help us when we arrived and was equally friendly, knowledgeable, and low-pressure. He carefully explained the mattress's benefits, the warranty-exchange process, the delivery timeline, and what would happen if we needed to exchange it. I was concerned that warranty replacements only include a 30-day trial period rather than the standard 120 days, especially because this was such an expensive mattress. Erick listened to my concerns and generously extended the trial period to 120 days and waived the restocking fee if we ultimately needed to exchange it. We doubt that will be necessary because we really loved the mattress, but having that reassurance made us feel much more comfortable with the purchase. Erick also gave us plenty of time and space to lie on the mattress and discuss our decision privately. When we mentioned that our current pillows were not working well for side sleeping, he listened carefully and helped us find options that would provide better support. Both Chris at Redlands and Erick and Cathedral City went above and beyond to make a stressful warranty replacement feel easy and manageable. They were patient, informative, generous, and genuinely interested in helping us find the right mattress rather than simply making a sale. The Cathedral City store was also clean, cool, and comfortable, and every employee we encountered was professional, welcoming, and down-to-earth. I highly recommend both locations, especially the Cathedral City Mattress Firm, to anyone looking for a low-pressure, informative, and reasonable mattress-buying experience.
