    Kale Caesar (Steak)

Came in for my usual steak Cesar about an hour before closing. I also tried their new waffle fries. The staff was very friendly and accommodating. My salad was superb. The fries, not soo much it seemed overcooked and dry.

It has been years since I had sweetgreen and it did not disappoint! The wicker park location is very clean and way less chaotic than Cava (right across the street). I went in person and I didn't feel like they skimp out on the portion and service was fast.

This Sweetgreen location truly stood out with its amazing team atmosphere and friendly service. Everyone worked seamlessly together, and Alexis especially went above and beyond to make my experience memorable. She helped customize our bowls with great feedback and was super accommodating to our requests. I regret to say I didn't get her buddies name who checked us out (also known as the music loving dishwasher), but he was also a gem of good energy! Alexis also shook my bowl for me (so thoughtful!) and, when I mentioned I was making grilled cheese at home, her team generously added an extra slice to save me the trip. Small gestures like this make all the difference! I ordered the Harvest Bowl with a few customizations--quinoa instead of rice, parmesan instead of goat cheese, plus lemon and cucumber. Let's just say it didn't last long enough for a fresh photo... it was that good! Highly recommend this location for great service and delicious, fresh food. Thanks, Alexis and team, for such a lovely experience! The only reason I couldn't leave 5 stars is because we arrived near closing time and i was really wanting avocado, but didn't order it because it wasn't looking to green.. BUT, we all know how pesty those guys can be when they hit air.

Missing half the advertised protein. Bad service. Steak Kale Caesar only had 6 tiny cubes of steak

We love sweetgreen! I've tried several salad places and SG by far has the best ingredients and seasonal offerings. We typically order through the app and schedule a pickup time. Never had to wait for it but the last time we did get a pretty skimpy protein serving. It also can be pretty pricey but nonetheless a good healthy option in the neighborhood. The dressings are also bomb! Love the cashew, the balsamic, and the new cranberry maple vinaigrette.

Takeout kale Caesar with red onion "added" lol

I'm a big Sweetgreen fan, but this location leaves much to be desired especially for takeout. I attached a pic of what my salad looked like when I ordered delivery a few days ago - adding red onion was 50 cents extra and as you can see I received a tiny amount of it Also, the time before this, I came into the store and had to repeat a lot of what I was ordering because it didn't seem that the person making the salad was paying much attention. Even after I repeated asking for an ingredient, it was left out and I had to remind the person again. Sweetgreen is my fave option for when I'm out of groceries at home but the quality has been sadly steadily decreasing in my opinion.

Love, love, love Sweetgreen! The ingredients were fresh, and the service was impressively fast - my order was ready in no time. The place is not only clean but also tidy. Highly recommend for a quick, healthy bite

When u live in Chicago and pay $20 for a salad they gotta get it right! IM NOT A FOOD CRITIC BUT this is what i think: Really great concept and pictures on the menu but cheap and lazy execution. Ordered thru Uber Eats so you may get a different experience in person. I ordered extra chicken for $3 and it doesnt look like i got it. They forgot the rice i added and got barely any of this spicy broccoli and sweet potatoes i paid $2.50 extra for. It turned out great when I added some chicken I cooked. But damn im getting tired of missing items and mid proportions when im paying $20 for a salad

The portions were kind of small for how expensive, but really yummy! I recommend the hot honey chicken.

Having worked in NYC and Jersey…read moreCity for years I am intimately acquainted with salad spots that cost the equivalent of college tuition and still leave you wanting. However, as I was a guest in his home and his wallet I was down to give it a try over the holidays when he suggested it. Based on my experience, I'm a believer - to a point. I started with the steak hot honey base and from there went HAM. Just my salad came in around $24. That's atrocious. However it was also delicious and packed to the brim with flavor and texture. I was pleasantly surprised. I think if I ordered as is I would have been disappointed - but being able to DIY was clutch. All that said, I FIRMLY reject the designation of places like Sweetgreen, Chipotle, and Cava as "slop bowls." In a time of rising economic and food insecurity, I actually find it incredibly disrespectful. Related but undeveloped thought - I also have issues with how items that contain "soft" ingredients like rice and beans - staples in countries with large populations of non white folks - get ridiculed as "slop." Is it the price that offends us? The preparation? Or the thought that who is eating it - (white) white collar workers - "deserve better?" We should unpack that at some point. -------- Overall Verdict: Yes. On someone else's dime.

From the food and ambiance to the consistently outstanding service, everything is truly top-tier. This visit was just as exceptional as every one before it. We shared the Sweet Corn Hummus, Spicy Whipped Feta, Brussels Sprouts, Crispy Wild Mushrooms, Crispy Potatoes, Grilled Chicken, and the Lamb & Beef Kefta. Every single dish was outstanding. I wish I had taken more photos, but we were too busy enjoying the food as it arrived at the table! For drinks, my sister loved the Strawberry Rose Paloma, and I enjoyed a glass of Kir-Yianni Sparkling Rosé, which paired beautifully with the meal. The warm, seasoned pita deserves its own recognition. It's soft, pillowy, and absolutely addictive. Honestly, it's hard not to fill up on the pita and spreads before the rest of the meal even arrives. Our server struck the perfect balance between friendly and attentive, without ever feeling intrusive. We usually make room for dessert, but we were completely stuffed this time. In the past, though, I've loved both the Warm Sticky Date Cake and the Frozen Greek Yogurt, and I'd recommend either without hesitation. I was secretly hoping for a tiny scoop of frozen yogurt as a birthday surprise, but my server didn't mention it and I didn't remind him of the celebration (and honestly, we were way too full anyway ). As a huge Top Chef fan, it's always special dining at Chef CJ Jacobson's restaurant. I had the opportunity to meet him during my very first visit to Ema, and he was incredibly gracious. His creativity and attention to flavor are evident in every dish. Ema continues to set the standard for what a great dining experience should be. It's the restaurant I recommend most often when people ask me where to eat in Chicago, and it remains my go-to place for special celebrations. I can't wait to come back again soon! #ImNotAFoodie #ImJustAGirlWhoLovesFood #YelpEliteSquad PS: the hotel next door no longer provides parking validation.

I don't have a good answer, except to say this: wherever that line is, I felt as though Just Salad crossed it. All this, with a price point greater than 5lbs of 'actual' rabbit food. I'd ordered a Maple Crispy Chicken Salad. I feel deceived by the photo on the menu, for it felt as though it were mostly spinach and arugula, with everything else being as if an afterthought. The cheddar, almonds, cranberries, corn, and carrots were in amounts too small to offer a balance or contrast to the greens. Meanwhile, the amount of chicken was straight-up laughable. It felt like a little treasure hunt for a little protein! Now, drumroll please... A bowl of mostly greens and a meager amount of extras for right around $15 before tax... eep! Severely overpriced if you ask me. I will give them points for the ingredients being fresh, and not seeming like they'd been sitting out for too long. I'd also like to give a shoutout for the fast service, though to be fair I did stop in just before the lunch rush. With all of this, I would ordinarily award two stars. However, a month or so again had a Spicy Chicken Caesar Wrap, which didn't suffer from my qualms with the salad. This one was well balanced, and not simply greens in a tortilla. While also overpriced in my opinion, not as severely as the salad.
