My order: * The Farm Club: You really can't go wrong with this one. The pickled red onions and herb aioli give it such a nice tang compared to a standard club sandwich. The turkey was high-quality and the bread held up perfectly. * Spicy Curried Couscous: I had to grab a side of their signature couscous, and it didn't disappoint. It has that signature roasted cauliflower and just the right amount of spice to balance out the sandwich. It's easily one of the best sides on their menu. The highlight of this visit was definitely sitting outside (inside is ok, a bit noisy and crowded). The patio area is clean, spacious, and perfect for catching some sun while you eat but most tables are shaded by umbrellas. Even though it's right off PCH, it's a great spot to relax and enjoy the El Segundo breeze. We started with the pear and blue cheese salad and, wow, we could have just ordered this, split it, and we would have been full. Very flavorful, generous portion that is definitely big enough to share. We also ordered the Sausage & Leek Fettuccine and I was definitely not thinking. Totally forgetting that leeks are part of the onion family (and I have a sensativity to onions). Once the dish arrive, I immediately noticed the similarity and was slowly trying to pick them away from my portion. Once again, Geovani came to our rescue. He asked how everything was and I told him I made a mistake (noted above). He quickly volunteered to have the kitchen make it again without the leeks. I asked, "Are you sure?", and he immediately said yes and removed the dish. Very shortly after, he returned with the "onion sterile" dish and it was wonderful. Both of us were so full you could have rolled us out the door. Good thing the parking garage is so close so we could just hop in our car and go home. Time to loosen the belt! ;) In a week where we have had some personal issues, it was so nice to be treated so well and received such a great tasting meal. My Dr Pepper had gone completely flat within about 30 minutes. The sandwich itself was awful. The chicken was supposed to be fried, but instead of being crispy it was soggy and limp. The lettuce looked old, with slightly browned edges and no freshness whatsoever. It was one of the worst chicken sandwiches I've ever had. About 30 minutes after eating, I developed severe diarrhea and spent the rest of the afternoon running to the bathroom seven times. While I can't say with certainty what caused it, the timing made me strongly suspect the meal. Between the terrible smell when I entered, the disappointing food quality, and what happened afterward, this was one of the worst restaurant experiences I've ever had. I won't be giving Chicken Confidential another chance. If I could leave -5 stars, I absolutely would.

It's located in a shopping area in El Segundo called The Point. Parking: parking can be a little tricky, but it's free parking! Such an anomaly in the LA area lol. My daughter got the cheese pizza and my son got the penne pasta. I kind of wish they had a side of vegetables or fruit, but thankfully, I had just given my kids some fruit before, so avoided the mom guilt lol. The edamame dumplings is an absolute must! It's an umami flavored dish! We also got the eggplant dish, and it was really good! If you've been to elephante in Santa Monica, it kind of reminds me of that, but the eggplant is a little bit more dense, but really great flavors. You may have to order an extra eggplant dip, because the ratio isn't exactly favorable towards the eggplant. Got the kale salad with shrimp. The shrimp was cooked to perfection! Kale was pretty good, but asked for extra cheese. My husband was all about the burger and he claimed it was one of the best burgers he's ever had! He got an IPA beer and I got a watermelon mint Mojito. It was really good, but I think I will try the skinny margarita next time. The price is actually pretty reasonable for the clean /delicious food! We are most definitely coming back!
