Combo with Hidden Fjord Salmon and Grass Fed Steak
    Olaedo E.

I've had lunch twice here now since it is nearby my office. Both times I ordered the combo with hidden fjord salmon and grass fed steak. I also get the hottest teriyaki sauce, which is pretty spicy but could definitely be spicier. Inside is clean, the staff is friendly and they put your order together in minutes. It's a great spot for lunch.

I've been exploring spots by my new job in Union square and I was excited that glaze was near by. 10/10 service was friendly and fast as ever. Quick kiosk to order from, there is seating inside the ambiance is a cool vibe nice design. I got the spicy glaze chicken thigh which comes with rice and a side salad. So juicy and flavorful, the ranch dressing for the salad was amazing. Great price and portion. I highly recommend. I'll be back to try the steak and salmon.

Had to grab a quick meal before our movie at the Regal. ordered the steak over rice and dumplings. The steak was alright, I would get it again. The dumplings were too fried and lacked something to be desired. They just deep fried the heck out of it. I appreciate the free water station though.

Always walked by Glaze and finally got to try it and so happy that I did. Ordered the Jalen Brunson bowl with brown rice and teriyaki sauce. The bowl is composed of salmon, chicken thighs and a small salad. It comes with 5 dumplings as well. Liked the bowl a lot. It was tasty and a good portion without feeling greasy or too heavy. Ingredients are fresh as well. Dumplings are ok. Don't think I need to order it again. Service is quick. You can order on kiosk. Decent amount of seating. Additional sauces and water is provided on the side if needed. Glad I was finally able to try. Wish there were many more locations around!

Cute little restaurant, I definitely thought it was for donuts when I first saw the branding. I came in after work one day and got 1/2 and 1/2 of the chicken breast and salmon teriyaki with only salad. I got both the teriyaki and carrot ginger dressing on the side which was good for me so that I could choose how much teriyaki I wanted! The meal was good and not a terrible price point for having both salmon and chicken!

Glaze has been one of my favorite takeout spots for years. When I worked in Union Square, I would often visit their old location (on 4th ave?) Today I spotted their new, beautiful space. The branding is on point - I really love the Glaze font! Same great menu. I always order the steak and salmon combo, regular teriyaki (sriracha on the side) and salad with sesame dressing. Today the salmon was cooked perfectly, steak was flavorful, rice was tasty, and my food came out fast. In my book, you can't go wrong with good teriyaki, it has it all! My favorite fast casual lunch option in US.

Healthy-ish chain restaurant that serves beef and chicken with salad and rice. The price point is fair for the portion size. They have a sauce dispenser that allows you to add more of their teriyaki seasoning. The seating inside the establishment is a bit uncomfortable.

Ordered a salmon and grass fed beef bowl with extra rice. Was genuinely surprised at how tasty the protein was. The teriyaki sauce was on the sweeter side but well balanced. I opted out of salad and added extra rice but there definitely needs to be some veggies to cut the monotonous flavor. Not exactly cheap, but for the quality you get, "it's actually not bad"

Great "Americanized "teriyaki spot in Manhattan . I used to make fun of the spot without trying it because everything "Americanized " have been a failure in my opinion but this one is different . It's a good healthy choice with Japanese influence . If you want to get the king salmon you have to go early as it goes out of stock really quick .

Build you own bowl style Japanese food like chipotle is interesting. Tried several dishes with soup.

I've been a fan of Glaze since they opened a store by 14th Street Union Square. They do Chipotle style plates but IMO, the food is fresher here. I usually order the chicken Teriyaki; it comes with rice and salad. Every time the food is consistently good. The staff is friendly and the store is very clean. The dining area takes up most of the space and I have never felt cramped, even at lunch time. I think my biggest issue with Glaze is their lack of marketing to grow their business to a known brand. From the outside, it looks like a coffee restaurant; it needs a signage to draw people in. For 15-$20 lunch plates, you can't go wrong eating at Glaze.

The teriyaki chicken was good and came with plenty of sauce. The sesame dressing for the salad was also nice, maybe a little sweet for me but good overall. A solid option for a quick lunch.

Friedman's d/b/a Gayle's Broadway Rose where there are singing servers who are struggling actors/actresses attempting to get into the acting/stage/film industry while working in the food service restaurant business. I did not experience the singing servers during my patronized visit. Upon entering the Maître d' announced "right now, we're only seating at the bar counter not at tables," so why do I see patrons sitting at booth tables? Oh! It was somewhat busy but not at full capacity for full-on hustle bustle busy. Seating for one, please. Me, myself and I. Friedman's is located adjacent to Hotel Edison and restroom facility is in the hotel's lobby. Access to Hotel Edison's facility is limited as the hotel's staff will stop all who enter as I am not a hotel guest. I believe Friedman's is very overhype, and overrated. My male server/waiter calls all the female patrons "love" which does not bother me and does not irk me at all. But please do not call me "babe", "baby", "mamma" or "mommy" as these are too sexist, outdated and stereotype in some cultures/race directed at women. Friedman's is certainly a modern American luncheonette. No comment for alcohol as I not order any. There are no business cards for keepsake. Pastrami on rye $26.00 Mustard, pickle and vinegar chips The meat heavily embedded with a lot of white fat stretched and stuck together when bitten. The meat tasted very bland lacking flavor. The mustard was mild spicy which gave the meat a zesty kick for aliveness, but minimally applied. The pickle was average. The vinegar chips were very stale and harden. The rye bread was average with caraway seeds which was blah. I am uninterested in caraway seeds. Katz's Delicatessen continues to reign supreme in pastrami on rye as the meat is excessively abundant quantity piled high and very flavorful taste without the need of mustard or mayo condiment. I prefer this sandwich accompanied with fries like Katz's Delicatessen offers. At the bottom of the sales receipt there is a suggested gratuity in intervals of 20%, 22% and 25% where customers do not have to perform math calculation. I was able to obtain my sales receipt as keepsake.
