Really consistently yummy! I love their soufflé pancakes (specifically the berry one) and mango with sea salt foam drink. Not too sweet, high quality, and super tasty. Menu is extensive with lots of options! The service was friendly when we were able to go in and eat. This is definitely a smart place to have an hk dessert place. There is plenty of parking in the plaza and since it's open a night, there isn't much competition for parking because all of the other stores are closed. It's soft opening, but the workers are highly trained and efficient. The desserts also came out in a timely manner. The place is kind of small so there probably will be a wait. Make sure your whole party is there or else they won't seat you. This place is good if you like durian and mango! They have lots of different items with those ingredients. I got the glutinous black rice with mango and vanilla shaved ice. It was different from other places but still good. I'd definitely come back to try other items. I'm not sure if their name reflects how their desserts taste like. They are not sweet enough for a dessert to me. That aside, I'm sure health conscious people who love dessert will think that SweetHoney Dessert offer exactly what they're looking for. The desserts are not overly sweet, so it's supposed to be a good thing, but to me, it needs to notch the sugar up just a liiiitle bit more. Won't hurt. Their curry fishballs are good tho... Long wait on a Saturday night (45 minutes!) They were out of sesame when I got there... I had the sago, coconut milk and grass jelly. He had the spicy chicken wings. Good food. It is a bit pricier than Golden Island in San Francisco for me, which has a lot of these types desserts, has more than just chicken wings and fish ball for savory food (my hubby isn't a dessert fan but goes here for chicken wings). However, it's not ultra expensive for the experience. The advantages over Golden Island is parking and distance from my home, but at least we don't wait at Golden Island for a table. I will be back when SweetHoney is out of soft opening mode and at a less crowded time. Meanwhile, if you are planning to add some more savory foods (like club sandwiches or other savory snacks that are neither seafood or dairy, we will happily be back for a second visit!!! :) read more

I highly do not recommend this place. First off, the staff weren't very welcoming. They gave us a table and we literally had to wait 20-30min for them to take our order. From the looks it, they were understaffed... on a Saturday. There were only two people working. In that case, I blame the management. To top it off, it took another 30minutes for us to get our drinks. The drinks were at best "okay". We were looking forward to the pancakes, but unfortunately there's a specific timeframe in which they are only available. Don't be fooled by the flamboyant pictures on google or their yelp page. I am not sure if they copy from Moon Kee Dessert in Hong Kong? Menu, plates and bowls almost look the same. Food is quite good. I really like their dessert with Tofu. Tofu is very soft and smooth. I am not a fan of durian but my friends said it was pretty good, too. The line was long, we waited about 30+ mins to get in on a weekend. Definitely will be back when they are less busy. read more

Pretty decent place for dessert especially for the location. Prices are standard. Nothing makes this place out of the ordinary, but it does make it easier for people who don't live in sf and want to get asian dessert. Definitely come early if you don't want to wait long. Came here around 11pm and it was still pretty packed inside and outside. Just have one huge pet peeve from them. I originally wanted to call and order so I can go there and pick it up, but they never answer their calls. So if you choose to do that, I would suggest to just go there and order and wait the 15 minutes or so. In the takeout, they give you everything you need to eat it with so its pretty great. read more

Food usually taste the best when it's your first time trying it at the restaurant . I've tried their sister location in San Leandro . But my first time tasted better than my second visit at this Colma location . But you can't go wrong with their chicken wings and the curry fish balls . I would skip the calamari . It's a bit bland , but it has a dressing dipping sauce on the side . I usually go for the mango styled desserts . I ordered the mango sago . It tasted sweet and perfect the first time but my second time visiting it taste a bit bland even with the vanilla ice cream added . I do recommend getting the sesame paste . It's very rich and flavorful . Mango / durian mochi is also a good add on to your dessert night list . I would skip the pancakes though if you do not like whip cream . Be warned they use a lot a lot of whip creams in their mango/durian pancakes . Hopefully they will expand their snack menu with more variety of food . Another important thing is come early early to beat the crowd or else you have to wait a long time . My friend and I were planning to come for early dessert date after our work shift at 3:30pm . This place is a famous chain of dessert. I personally think their desserts are pretty good. But a bit on the pricey side..but overall 4 stars for the desserts! Long line on weekends, and service isn't particularly the best. I came on a Sat night and waited at least half an hour and our party ended up splitting because they couldn't accommodate a party of 8 without making us wait even longer. I have went to Japan over the summer in 2018 and when comparing this to SweetHoney's here it is as same as the ones from Japan or even better. This place got the best HK desserts which are very tasty and a decorative place that's good to hang out with friends. We had coconut sago with Thai sticky rice on side, Fried chicken wings, mango pudding and Durian Pudding was really good! They got real durian on top, which u can get to eat the real fruit as well along with the soft jelly durian flavored pudding!
