My husband and I were so lucky to work with Nicole. She customized our wedding cake based on our favorite cake flavors. Mine was almond vanilla cake with alternating layers of almond vanilla mousse w/candied slice almonds and raspberry preserves. My husbands flavor was a brown sugar cinnamon w/cinnamon buttercream and raspberry preserves (basically a play on a cinnamon roll). At our first cake tasting, Nicole allowed us to taste difference fillings, mouse and cake flavors. From there, she allowed us to customize the cake to whatever flavors we wanted. She did not have an almond cake flavor at the initial cake tasting, but took her time to make a perfect almond cake for me for our second cake tasting. She also allowed us to decrease the amount of the filling in between the layers of cake. We did a naked cake and their buttercream was amazing (my favorite--not too sweet). Typically a naked cake will get dry because of the amount of frosting, but this was not the case. The next day our cake was still moist and delicious. We can't wait to ask Nicole for another cake for our 1 year anniversary. Maybe I will just get another cake for my birthday because I can't wait that long. Nicole delivered the most adorable bird themed cupcakes with matching sugar cookies for my sister's couples baby shower this weekend. She even provided football cookies with cute little pink bows for the guys. They were exactly what I was looking for and all of the shower guests just loved them.
