I live really nearby and almost made this my regular daily coffee spot, until they hired ill-trained employees who now try to charge extra for hot water to mix with espresso. I asked to speak with a manager and was told by the ill-trained employee that I could tell him my concern and he'd "pass it along" but I could not speak to a manager, and the manager's name was confidential. Everything used to be great, but now I go to Starbucks or Pete's (both within two blocks) where I get a side of hot water for free, without the side of attitude. If you value money and customer service, skip this place! read more

I love it here! We live nearby and come all the time. The breakfast items, specifically bacon egg and cheese croissant, are like a step up from Starbucks. They have a variety of teas, and the few I have tried were really good. The staff is also super friendly, providing great suggestions if I ask and otherwise excellent customer service. This is located in New City, and in the summer it's nice to sit outside and watch the waterfall and listen to the music coming from the outdoor speakers. read more

So glad this returned to Chicago. I am familiar with the Sweetwaters Brand being from Michigan and was pumped to see it on the North Side. One of the best coffee shops I've been to. The Abianno espresso is arguably the tastiest espresso I've ever had. Have it with a latte, cappucino, or go nuts and bring it home for an espresso martini. This is a great spot! read more

Just happened to be home decor shopping in the area when I saw this place on the edge of the Newcity complex. Came in and everyone greeted me right away which was so lovely!! They had so many pastries, drinks, and other goodies. Decided to get a bacon, egg, and cheese asiago bagel sandwich and the lavender dreamy and they did not disappoint! So delicious. Not to mention that the actual cafe was great to relax in. Would absolutely come back here again to try another drink, one of their pastries, and enjoy the atmosphere :) read more

My husband ordered the Frappe Ice Cream Shake and I ordered an iced latte and he said the Frappe Ice Cream Shake is better than Starbucks because they use ice cream!!!
