Swig has been one of our favorite places so I'm hoping this was just a bad day for them. However apart from getting out order wrong twice (first mistake we caught), there was so much ice in my 44 oz drink that after a couple of straw sips my cup was empty except for ice which was over 3/4 full still. There couldn't have been much more than 8 ounces of beverage. We'll come back but please fix this issue. read more

Fun little place to stop and get a refreshing drink. Plenty of seating inside and out, and they also provide games like uno, connect 4 to play while you are enjoying your soda concoction. This place was an old car repair garage and just has a cool vibe to it, and I can tell it's very popular with the younger crowd. Update: The LAP isn't really sweet enough(which is weird for me) but the peachy taste is really good since I don't ever really ever get peach drinks. I'll try something different next time. Ordered the Lil Crannie with a scoop of custard. Refreshing Has an extensive menu of sodas you can order or create your own. Located in an old gas station detail shop. Interior is basic modern with plenty of seating plus a drive thru if you're in a hurry. There was a food truck in the parking lot which seemed to be popular. Will be back. read more

I love swig. It's always fun to try a new flavor. I hate that swig is closed on weekends, but it always makes for a delightful treat. Lines get long, but they move pretty fast. I did try a tea with boba, and the boba was a bit harder than I've ever had before. So hopefully, that is just a one-off, but other than that, always a good soda. read more

After driving by multiple times I finally walked in today to check it out. I'm glad I did, the place inside is very nice, open and clean. With a lot of seating inside and outside (even though it is 110 outside right now) Anyway the staff was very helpful in recommending me drinks and asking me questions like: What my favorite soda was and what fruits I liked becuase a majority of the drinks have some fruit aspect to it. I got the Smooth Criminal as a recommendation by the cashier. It had Dr. Pepper, Vanilla, Coconut, and Half and Half. The half and half seemed like a strange add on to the drink but it tasted really good and I'm glad I got it. Matter of fact abiut 4 hours after that, I went back and got another 24oz. Highly recommended this place to anyone who is on the lookout for a good refreshing drink. read more

We tried this place after reading the ABC15 story and it was worth the drive! The Butter Beer is excellent and really unique... I don't even like butterscotch and I thought it was great. The Shark Attack is a nice and refreshing too... a good pick for today since it's warm. The custard is really great too--it's been a while since I had a decent custard. Staff are friendly and it's clean and modern inside. The Mesa location is built into an old gas station and the awning over the old gas pump area and been converted into a lovely seating area...where I'm writing this and stealing sips of the wife's Butter Beer. If they ever add coffee to the menu all their mixer and flavor combos are only going to get better. I'm digging it! We'll be back! read more

I used to love stopping here but over the course of the last few months the quality of the staff has significantly decreased. I used to be greeted with a smile and it felt like the employees were actually happy to be there, now i get attitude from the girls taking the order on their iPads and not even an acknowledgment as the employee at the window shoves my order out the window to me. Update: I went inside the today and it was so messy! Straw wrappers left on couches and tables as well as crumbs and some spills! There were many employees working there as well!! First time my husband, daughter and I visiting The Soda Shop. Not impressed. We weren't sure where to order, there were two staff making drinks, looked at us and went back to work without any "hello" or "welcome". It wasn't until another customer walked in and went to the register area to order did we figure it out. Limited menu, definitely have a bigger variety at other specialty soda establishments prices are not listed for different drink sizes. The staff taking orders left after taking two customers orders with another gentleman and us still in line. It wasn't until another staff member came I from outside asked if we needed to order. The drinks were good and got them in good time. They were good, nothing to write home about. The music in there was really loud. Also the place is often filled with young teen girls visiting their worker friends. They scream and yell and giggle and snort. So if that don't bother you great. If you like soda, I highly recommend this place. I joke that I really wish it didn't open up so close to me. Too tempting. I've tried sodalicious, swig, fizz, and soda rush. To me, the soda shop soda mixes are better than any of those. Most of those places seem to be too syrup-y and strong. Soda shop has the perfect balance. I've also tried replicating their sodas at home and haven't nailed it like them. They employees are fun and nice, very helpful, and the whole place has a hip, relaxed vibe inside, so socially, it is a fun place to go. Give them a try!! After all the hype I was so disappointed. Firstly, placing an order was quite the challenge. After repeating myself 3 times they couldn't seem to get it right. I only ordered 2 shakes with 2 mix-ins and my shakes only had one mix-in. The shakes were tiny and overpriced compared to what I can get at Dairy Queen. Will I return? Only if I'm seriously desperate for a shake at night because they are open later than Dairy Queen. read more

I am DEVASTATED!! Soda shop had the MOST delicious sugar cookies you could buy in Mesa and now they are gone. WHY!?!?!!
