Great place to stop in for a nibble. Fresh delicious salads and good drinks. There's meter parking nearby and a lot of people come from close-by to enjoy the sandwiches and beverages here. I got a caprese salad and it was very good. I also got the Vietnamese coffee which basically just had condensed milk in it, lil too sweet but the cinnamon made it addicting (gotta love Vietnamese iced coffee). Price points are too high so I never choose them for lunch. They are out of cold brew by noon daily. During August their AC was not working and it was hotter inside than outside on a terrible humid day. On my last visit every inch of the floor was sticky. That being said the coffee is delicious, love their iced coffee with salted caramel. If you are interested in paying $5 change for a small iced coffee this is your type of location. Met here for a meeting yesterday morning. It's a typical coffee shop, but super clean and bright. Lots of space to sit and get some work done. I tried the Mocha latte first, served hot in a mug if your there to eat in and so yum. Very creamy and just the right amount of chocolate, not to sweet just sweet enough. I had been to the new Sydney's in Portsmouth for a Yelp event and so it made me curious about the Sydney's in Providence. I took my sister and her friend who was visiting from Germany. I got a broccoli cheddar scone and the sweet ricotta toast. The broccoli cheddar score was a big surprise. I loved it, it was so good and I got it warmed. It was great for a nice cold day and it wasn't dried out like scones can sometimes me. I have had the ricotta toast from the other Sydneys and it did not disappoint. I love the portion size of it for what you pay for. I love the cute inside of the cafe and there is plenty of seating. The foot traffic was plentiful. There is nothing like this in providence. The staff was very friendly and attentive when they took my order. I got the staple avocado smash and a coffee. I took a seat at a round table with my friend and waited for the food to be delivered. Only a few minutes and a staff delivered my elegantly plated avocado toast. It was so good. Exactly what I needed. This is a great spot to sit down, chit chat with friends, or have a coffee date, or go to during lunch break. The atmosphere is nice and bright. I will be back! read more

I went here with my friend for breakfast for the first time today. I love how the inside is so stylish and how the sunshine comes in through the windows. Unfortunately, I have to seriously downgrade my review of Sydney, and it's a real shame. The place is still lovely, and the counter staff are nice, but I had a recent experience that has discouraged me from returning. I went in on Friday morning on my way to catch a bus. I assumed that having 20+ minutes before I needed to be out of the cafe would be plenty to get a cup of tea and one of their breakfast sandwiches. I came in, placed my order, and got my tea. First, I noticed there was a fairly sparse amount of tea in the tea bag. I love that they have loose tea, but for a 12 ounce cup, there should be more than one teaspoon (at least it looked like it had *swollen* to one teaspoon) of leaves per cup. (And the cup of tea wasn't inexpensive - close to $3.) And I waited. Ten minutes. Fifteen minutes. Finally, at 20 minutes, I had to ask for my money back, because there was apparently not going to be a breakfast sandwich. At the cafeteria at my workplace, they can fry up a fresh egg and put it on a toasted bagel in under five minutes while you're waiting. I expect it shouldn't take much longer to do the same thing in a pleasant cafe, with a croissant as the base. Eggs are eggs. Previously, I had stopped in to get the lovely sweet ricotta toast, and that took suspiciously longer than anticipated, but I thought it might have been a one-off glitch. I'm bummed, but since I'm often on a schedule, Sydney is no longer an option. read more

This is my second time here, both times the food and coffee has been very good, the egg sandwich, is a pretty large size and very tasty. The avocado smash is also very delicious, there is usually very little wait in line and food is quick. Prices aren't the greatest, but the quality of the ingredients makes it very well worth it. read more

Honestly there are entirely so many places to "get a bite" in town that its quiet overwhelming. Trust we tried MANY! But this little gem was worthy of our every penny sent. I have been three or four times, each time hoping I will see what the other 5 Star reviewers have seen. But today was the final straw. I paid nearly $5 for a cold brew that had maybe 6 ice cubes in it. My cold brew is now room temp brew a mere 5 minutes later. Come on even DD does better than that! Other past grievances include barely cooked bacon on a sandwich (floppy bacon is universally gross), and a minuscule sized dressing container in a to go salad. Based on only one visit, but I stopped in for a quick visit and tried their signature flat white, which was excellent. The interior is very clean and the service was quick and kind. I like their options for healthy salads and various treats including gluten-free if that's what you're looking for. I did try two of the creme brulee bites which I would pass on next time, but certainly would go back again and try something new. read more

The staff was not friendly and it seemed like I was bothering them by asking questions of the menu items. We ordered the avocado toast and also the fruit bowl which were just okay. We tried a macaroon and also just okay. The latte was made well. Overall, cute place in the area but wouldn't travel to location for brunch not worth the price or limited selection. Came here for a quick brunch with friends and ordered the matcha latte and Vietnamese iced coffee in addition to their breakfast sandwich. The breakfast sandwich was huge and very worth the money! However the drinks were very lackluster. They were both made incredibly bitter with little to no sugar and milk even when we asked to get it sweetened. They tasted fine after we made some adjustments to them but there should not have been any need to adjust it at all if they were made correctly from the get go.
