Mike, the owner, answered my email quickly, and scheduled an appointment with me to look over my existing equipment.

I've had sets from Pioneer, Sony, Samsung, Toshiba and now LG. I was one of his earliest clients and I've recommended him over these many years. I was originally about to purchase a Sony Master Z series 8k 75" set, but he strongly steered me toward an LG OLED - new G2 in 75". What a difference his advice made! Robert is considered by LG (and other companies as well) as being a Master Class Imaging Science Foundation (ISF) calibrator of display devices. He is also now working with Dolby Labs and they highly value his skill-set in their own development. Most people naively think calibrating a TV is merely adjusting the contrast, brightness, color, detail, etc. buttons on the remote LOL! Have I got news for you! That is NOT calibration no matter how good you "think" you are at setting those knobs. Calibration requires extremely expensive equipment that Robert brings to your home. A full calibration can take up to eight (8) hours, but when he's done you are going to be left with your mouth open in awe of what that set of yours is capable of showing! My calibration of the LG-G2 was completed yesterday. He started at 9am and finished just before 6pm. I invited a friend over to watch the long process and he was shocked at what's involved and he now wants the same done for him eventually. Robert loves to explain every single step of WHAT he's doing and WHY he's doing it. Watching him is like watching a micro-surgeon delicately tweak settings you don't have access to as an owner. Robert's professional skill-set does not come cheap, but if you've already spent several thousand on a good set, you would be foolish NOT to spend the extra to truly make it right. What you see on display at Best Buy, Costco or other shops, is just the BEGINNING of what a fully professionally calibrated set can ultimately look like. Robert has calibrated sets for many of the rich and famous Hollywood crowd and they know what the director intended for you to see on your screen. They want and accept nothing but the best . . . so why shouldn't you for all the money you already spent to get that display device?

I will join the long line of delighted customers!…read more I threw an Oscar party last year. We had two TV's, one on each side of an open area and facing in opposite directions. It became painfully obvious we had to synchronize the video and sound. We were streaming the Oscars over the ABC app, and despite our best efforts to start the stream on both TV's at the EXACT SAME TIME the feed did not STAY synchronized. We spent the whole evening stopping one feed to let the other one catch up. Not fun. I asked the company that installed my whole-home entertainment system and they quoted $3,200 to fix the problem. That was too much. I then browsed through Yelp and found Brien. He came over, understood the scope of the work immediately and examined all my Sonos and internet servers upstairs. He gave me a rough estimate from a quick and dirty fix to a Rolls Royce solution. His estimate was from $510 to $1,300. He asked me to give him some time to research this further. This is where he went above and beyond any service provider I have ever interacted with. A few days later I get an email from Brien. This is the relevant portion. (notice how he ordered a kit to experiment with on my behalf !!!) Also, the level of granularity on the Star Wars episodes he watched with his kids is endearing. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- "I spent a lot longer than originally expected playing with, and enjoying, the J-Tech video extender/splitter kit that I ordered. On Sunday I connected the kit to three TVs in my house. My kids and I watched a mini Star Wars marathon, episodes 7, 8, and 9. Video came from a Roku Ultra that I purchased last year. I tested the following video resolutions; 4K w/Dolby Vision (for close to 9hrs...marathon), 4K HDR (a few Apple TV+ episodes), and 1080p (about an hour of live TV from Paramount+). The whole experience was flawless, save for one minor glitch in edge definition that I resolved by adjusting settings on the video kit manually (only happened with Dolby Vision enabled...user/technician error I think). If you want a solution for under $1000 (installed), then I am recommending this J-Tech kit. Your total would be $510. I don't need a deposit. I'll take full payment after work is completed. You mentioned that you expect to return on 2/5. Can I book the installation for Friday 2/7 at 10am?" ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Of course the solution he provided was flawless. He routed the sound over the built-in SONOS speakers (rather than through the TV speakers) and the experience was light-years better than last year. I went with the least expensive option and nobody could have convinced me it wasn't the $1,500 Roll Royce solution! I challenge you to find a more proactive and professional service professional. (I double-dog dare ya!)

This review is long overdue! We bought a house in Marin back in 2016, the first thing I wanted to…read morebuy was audio and video equipment! I had heard about AVI from a friend but thought there was no way I could afford the products they carry. Just for the hell of it i stopped in one day and spoke to the owner Tony, I told him my budget and he made some recommendations, I decided to buy the equipment in stages, first stage a pair of speakers and a quality receiver, and some wiring work for my house. Fast forward two years and i was ready for a sub woofer and center channel, problem was the center channel that matched my speakers didn't fit on my mantle, so Tony came up with a creative solution to build a custom center channel using a top of the line in-wall speaker and had an enclosure built to match my towers. I also picked up an entry level sub-woofer, knowing I can always upgrade in a few years. Well the center and sub were installed yesterday and I couldn't be happier. Tony also came over to calibrate the speakers, he even gave me a very generous discount on the calibration cost, he has a customer for life now! Tony is honest, and does his best to make his clients happy. His products are top quality and a little on the expensive side but he works with your budget to put together the best solution for you. I won't be replacing any of these components for a long time so investing in high quality equipment just made sense. If you are in the market for audio equipment I highly recommend giving AVI a shot, at least talk to Tony and get some options, you can't go wrong.

I contacted Audio Video Integration looking to demo a compact, single-box streaming speaker system…read more(specifically inquiring about options like the Naim Mu-so 2 and McIntosh RS250) for a small space with strict size constraints. Sales rep Dave Costa was dismissive, patronizing, and completely misunderstood basic product specifications from the start. He repeatedly insisted that self-contained wireless speaker systems require external speakers, conflated them with separate streaming amplifiers, and aggressively attempted to upsell expensive component stacks while completely ignoring my explicit space requirements. When I clarified what I was looking for, he doubled down with unsolicited lectures about my budget, patronizing comments about how I conduct audio comparisons, and backhanded insults toward reputable brands. As an audio professional, I expect a specialty dealer to listen to customer requirements and understand the gear they sell. Assuming a specific form-factor request equates to a lack of budget, and talking down to customers because of it, is terrible business. I will gladly take my business to another high-end audio dealer that values customer service and knows their inventory.
