Prime bought Why Storage around Oct of 22 and the change has not been good…read more The new company raised rental fees and is also imposing an additional insurance fee on renters who fail to read the new contracts that were emailed in October. I personally visited the location twice to hand deliver proof of insurance docs and was still charged via automatic payment on Nov and December. Have spoken to the manager and GM on two different occasions with assurances that this would be corrected but still being charged. Have complained to BBB in NY, (since the new owners' HQ is in Saratoga Springs NY), and also contacting NH State AG office because I believe the new owners are intentionally stacking their imposed insurance fees on unsuspecting or inattentive customers who pay via auto payment. Will be looking for a new place as soon as the weather improves- these people seem completely uncaring for the customer (at best) and unethical and unscrupulous (at worst)!

I…read moremoved out 20 days early on Dec 19th and spoke with the on-site manager to ensure that everything was all set. I was paid up through ~Jan 10th and there was no refund for that, not a problem. About a month later on Jan 17th they charged me an additional month rent and told me that there was a lock still on the unit. When the unit was inspected the unit had an unlocked lock on one door and no lock on the other door. Had Prime contacted me to tell me they were going to charge another $193.80 for a vacated storage space prior to the charge I could have easily removed the lock or had them remove it. These people are criminals and not to be trusted. Go ANYWHERE else. If you are already here, I would look to move as soon as possible as these people are completely unethical and unscrupulous and will pork you at first opportunity.

They also didn't complete set up as asked and paid for and charged my elderly parents the higher rate for paying by credit card when I told them I would go to my own house and return with my checkbook to pay to save my parents money. I live 15 minutes away round trip. During my short absence, the movers pressured my parents to pay with the credit card. Sadly, we even bought all the crew lunch to save them time and money. We feel betrayed and angry. We will never use them and hope others avoid our fate.
