Food was good and it was served hot; I really enjoyed the Marbles Beef and Happy Family during my last visit. The staff is friendly and efficient with orders, and the food is pretty good. This is one of TWO Chinese food restaurants I go to regularly, so I consider this one 'better than most' on Cape Cod. Having eaten and enjoying Szechuan type Chinese food in Boston, Cambridge, and many other area restaurants for over 40 years, I would say this is one one the best. I initially got hooked on their Hot and Sour soup, but everything we've taken out from there has been top shelf. It's primarily a take out spot with few tables, and takeout service has always been prompt, well cooked, accurate, and great tasting. We were in town for a couple of days and looking for an easy dinner. They have a few tables in the restaurant, it is mostly take out though. There is nothing on the menu that just jumps out as special, but they cook everything fresh and the sauces are lighter than many restaurants so you can taste the protein and the veggies not just the sauce. One thing I always order is Hot and Sour soup. I use this as a barometer of sorts for Chinese restaurants. It was definitely Hot(spicy) and just sour enough. Quality job all round. My wife and I shared a couple of dishes and we were very delighted. the veggies were tender crisp and as I mentioned not super heavy on the sauce. Absolutely the worst I've ever had. We got old, dried up food. Dried up teriyaki, mushy fried shrimp, flavorless spare ribs and the chicken wings looked more like dinosaur wings. Watered down sweet sauce. We asked for an extra duck sauce and they said no. Owners are rude as Hell and couldn't care any less about the product they turn out. The food here is great my personal favorites are the scallion pancakes, beef teriyaki, pork fried rice, crab rangoons, spring rolls, pineapple fried rice, and sea same chicken. Visited this place twice as it is close to my hotel. Both times a very abrupt man answered the phone and kind of rushed you off the phone when trying to place an order. In addition both times I ordered take out they did not put any utensils. The bag was stapled shut so I figured they already put the utensils in the bag. Nope they didn't. there are a few tables to sit and eat but it was primarily a take out place. I went at lunchtime. The phone was consistently ringing with orders and there was a line. That means its good. The people are very nice and offered extra sauce and such. Meals are cooked to order and there was a variety of luncheon specials reasonably priced and large portions. 1st time ordering from (take out) Szechuan Delight and I would return. A bit on the pricey side but overall tasty. There aren't a ton of Chinese take out places around us, so we thought to try this one. I ordered (amongst other things) sweet & sour tofu (not on the menu, had to ask them to sub chicken/pork w/ tofu & was a little worried they didn't understand my request, but it worked out). Tofu came in VERY large cuts on a bed of lettuce with the S&S sauce on the side. I was skeptical but the tofu was fabulous, light and crispy on the outside, almost creamy inside. The S&S sauce was obviously not "healthy" LOL, very gelatinous with little fruit, but actually tasty! The veggie fried rice was really good as well! Lots of veggies. My husband got chicken wings and pork lo mein and said both were really good. We will absolutely order from there again. read more

Okay.....this is my favorite Chinese restaurant on Cape Cod. I love everything that I have had. First, if you're an appetizer person...their beef terriyaki's are huge. They are wonderful but.....their Peking ravioli is awesome. Even the dipping sauce for the ravioli is exactly right. It is so good, I could actually drink it. Many places serve something that tastes like a very salty soy sauce that a slice of ginger swam through. This is different. It is a spectacular dipping sauce that I never, ever, waste. When I've finished the ravioli, I refrigerate the sauce, and the next night I pour it over anything.... I particularly love it to season some broiled cod or haddock. Okay, back to the point....I often get their Hot & Sour soup, and that too, is really, truly, done right. They have yummy sesame shrimp. Here's something interesting....they serve spicy green beans (not really hot, just a little spicy, but they can more heat if you ask.) Before you say "eeeww...green beans!" Let me tell you that these are tangy, flavorful, slightly spicy whole fresh green beans with ground pork in a thin brown sauce. This is one fantastic choice. Plus, I like to add it when I'm buying for a group because it has great flavors, the smell is intoxicating, and my friends who are trying to do low carb, like to eat this. I ordered small "House" Lo Mein which is suppose to have pork, and chicken, and shrimp and beef, and water chestnuts and mushrooms. I got lo main noodles with tiny, tiny pieces of pork (the size of a fingernail clipping) and 3 slivers of a mushroom. I also ordered a small Shrimp with Lobster sauce. They call it shrimp in brown pork sauce. It was okay with 4 shrimp in it. I go here because they have small orders (1/2) a n order. I called about the lo mein. He would not take my word that there were no visible ingredients other than noodles in the lo mein. "come in next time I give you $2.00 off" Really. I asked if he would credit my Visa card that I paid for "no don't do that". Sooo I have to go back 12 miles one way and spend more for wrong food to get $2.00. Ok, so many years ago I went to this take out and it was fantastic! Monday I went with my daughter and were not happy with my food! I had asked for gluten free pad Thai, it wasnt! After 10 years of periodically sampling this business, I have concluded that the food nor the service is worth my money. The food is overcooked and does not appear to be fresh. It seems as if the food is taken directly out of a freezer or refrigerator and thrown into a wok for reheating. This place is very professionally run. The two order takers are very polite and work seamlessly with the three or four cooks to make your order fresh while you wait. My "small" wonton soup had 6, 1 1/4" wontons in it ! I stop here often on my way to a 7 pm meeting in Dennis and have ordered many things on the menu, usually opting for the less than usual fare. I have found every dish to be authentic, perfectly spiced, not overly greasy and a pleasure to eat. I now carry my own spoon and fork in the truck as the plastic "to go" cutlery just doesnt cut it.
