My wife had Chicken and Ribs with Yams and Collard Greens as sides. In my opinion as a cook, ribs should be edible without sauce. The sauce is a bonus and if the ribs are not seasoned right, the sause will maskl or enhance their flavor. These ribs were AMAZING!. Smoky, juicy, and tasty. I did not touch the sauce. The whiting was also great, well seasoned and not overcooked. I sampled some of chicken my wife ordered and it too was very good. The mac and cheese was ok and the green beans were ok. I also had the Collards and they were excellent. This is a Hidden gem and I might drive the 70 Miles to try the Brisket, if it was sold out early in the afternoon, then it must really be good. The fries were good and I enjoyed the hush puppies too. The fish was on the salty side but was solid overall (it had a few bones too so be careful). I also got a jerk chicken and rib platter and while the jerk sauce was savory and spicy, it too was a bit too salty. If they can tone down the salt just a bit this would be 5 star worthy. But it is still good and worth repeating visits.
