Not really my type of place...Just another chain restaurant but more like a local hangout if you sit at the bar. I often dine out by myself. Noticed that the bartenders cater to the local crowd while being less then friendly to people they do not recognize. Also often the bartenders seem to disappear for extended periods of time instead of being attentive to the people at the bar. I avoid this place. My husband and I ate here for dinner. Pretty impressed! The menu was extensive and I had a hard time choosing what order. I went with the Turkey Dinner and was not disappointed. My husband got some steak tips and they were delicious. The house margarita was ok. We will definitely be going back. The dinner entrees can be good or alright. The main thing I have a problem with is their appetizers. They just seem fast foody to me. Atmosphere is not terrible but nothing spectacular. Just passing through Derry, thought we'd give it a try! Just great! Both of us ordered different burgers, cooked differently. I always order "well-done"and very rarely do you see a place that can get it right. The burger was perfect! No pink, and still flavorful and juicy. Country fries were also perfect with the right amount of salt. Wait staff very attentive, and the place is spacious and clean. I wish we had one of these where I live, it's great for kids! The kid menu had tons of items to please even the most picky toddler. Not to mention, the adult menu is huge! Took us almost 30 minutes to decide. The only downside was that it did take a while for the food to come out. When it did, it was well worth it. Temperature was hot and food home-made! read more

T-Bones, I love you. I grew up going to the Hudson TB pretty much since it opened. This review is for my latest visit to the Derry location. I came with my daughter on a beautiful Saturday afternoon for lunch on the patio. While the seating was nice, it was VERY cramped. The waiter was taking the lunch order for the first table, and we had to wait until he finished before we could squeeze by (it's really that tight). Oh well, I'll sit inside next time. Also- there was an older woman standing about 2-3 from one of the tables on the patio smoking a cigarette. Something to keep in mind if you, like me, go to Derry specifically for the patio. I almost expected subpar service because it was the patio (it's happened at other establishments), and I was pleasantly surprised- our waitress was very attentive and seemed to be "only" in the outdoor section at that time. (I shouldn't have expected less from TB!) The restaurants are always packed when I go at night, and I was also happy to see it wasn't too crowded for lunch. My daughter is very picky, even for a three-year old. I was happy that they would accommodate her and make a pizza with no cheese. However- when she saw the large pieces of basil in the sauce, she wouldn't eat any more. The sauce is delicious, and they probably use the same sauce for many dishes. It's just worth mentioning since the pizza was on the kid's menu, and many children are known to be picky about anything different in their food. I still got her to eat a good amount of the pizza. Also- the kid's meals come with a chocolate chip cookie. We usually go to Hudson and get a cookie that tastes like it was baked that morning from the dough you buy in the refrigerated section of the supermarket. Who cares, my daughter loves it. Today, though, they brought out a cookie from a package of Chips Ahoy (trust me, I know my cookies lol). It disappointed me, especially since they brag that "everything is made from scratch." Bottom line: the food is great and always has been. The service is also great, and it seems so many other restaurants have lost sight of the value of customer service (just read some of my other reviews). I nit-pick because I will keep coming back to them again and again, and hopefully someone will address these very minor issues I had with today's visit! read more

Went here to eat tonight with my wife and 4 kids. Staff was friendly food was good but at the end of my dinner had the glass bulb that goes over the light fall and smash all over the table. The manager was attentive to our situation and apologized multiple times but was sure to give us the bill for 80.00 and give us a gift card for 50.00 for our "next time back". I personally think the food bill should have been taken care of, considering half the glass went in my 1 year olds plate and could have been much worse. read more

The bar is nice, but during the day they often have propaganda channels like Fox "News" on their screens. The food is always good, I go there quite often and I was never disappointed. Really nice feature during the Summer: there is a little Biergarten style patio. If it wasn't for having propaganda on TV, I would give them 4 stars. read more

Its amazing how tbones manages to be the exception to the rule for the pheae "jack of all trades, master of none". I have recently visited Tbones and found the tables to be sticky, seats dirty and salt shaker crusted with crud. Wait staff were average for a chain; so I didn't think much of it and wouldn't have bothered to leave this review. However, after posting on Facebook that I thought it was dirty, one of their seasoned employees felt the need to respond back in a most unprofessional manner. One Angela Mata Normyle responds on Facebook the following : "Been there 13 years and your house is probably dirtier than TBones in Derry!" Class act Angela! I hope you're listening- Here's my lesson on what a respectable business response would sound like, " I'm sorry you had a bad experience, it's not usually dirty, please give us another chance for your business ." See people this is what's wrong in this country. You can't have an opinion without retribution. Angela Mata Normyle should be fired for inappropriately representing the corporation outside of the workplace. So unprofessional to publicly attack a customer for voicing an opinion. Not even supposed to wear a uniform or name tag outside of work, as you represent the company, I couldn't believe she made such a comment. She really should be fired . Then I'll go back to Tbones. Update - September now and still getting backlash from people - messaged on Yelp just a minute ago from someone who said Lady... you must be an unhappy person !" Really? I have been going to T-Bones since the late 80s and it is a place that is one of my favorite casual dining restaurants that I keep coming back to. I frequent both the bar and the dining room and have found the servers and bartenders to be generally friendly and attentive. The the dining room staff seems to turn over periodically, but the bar staff has been around for years (actually decades). If you are sitting in the bar when it is full, however, you may have to wait a bit for service, but that is not unusual for any busy bar. The food: Generally good and pretty consistent, which is not typical for restaurants that have been around for a long time. I often get appetizers or seafood and I have found that the seafood is generally cooked well (not overcooked like many places). The baked stuffed seafood casserole is one of my go to dishes and when I am looking for something a little less healthy, the fisherman's platter is very good as well. The CBC and the Buffalo Chicken sandwiches are also great and the homemade potato chips are fantastic. The place is generally packed at night, especially on the weekends, so call ahead for seating or expect to wait, but that goes with any popular place that has a strong following. Finally, I want to mention a recent experience which was surprising and impressive. I came in on a particularly busy Wednesday night when the bar was full and waited a few minutes until I saw someone leave. When I sat in the newly empty bar stool, I was told by one of the servers that there was a waiting list for seats at the bar and that I needed to see the hostess. I was surprised but not really upset about this and I wasn't interested in hanging out waiting for a seat, so I just left. I came back, however, two nights later this time for the dining room. After we were seated and had ordered, one of the bartenders, Brandon, apparently had noticed me come in and came to our table to apologized for the previous night's experience, which took me completely by surprise. I am sure that he recognized my face from having come in periodically over the years, but I doubt that he even knew my name. Not only did he apologize for me not being able to get seat at the bar, but he also offered me a gift certificate for the inconvenience. It was way beyond what I would have ever expected, but it showed that they really care about their customers. I noticed some of the negative comments about the service, particularly in the bar in recent months, but I have never had a complaint about the service that I have received there. Friendly staff and excellent food. We are so lucky to have T-Bones in town. The food is always delicious and the place is always clean. I like that there are several different seating environments to choose from. Sometimes we like to sit in the restaurant, sometimes outside and sometimes in the bar area. The only thing that is a bummer is that they have delicious specials that you will fall in love with and then they go away. Bring back the buffalo chicken mac and cheese!!! One of the bartenders at T-Bones is gay. My bartender, Lou, instead of serving his customers drinks, spent most of his time talking with friends about anti-gay sentiments and something that they were going to do to the gay bartender's car. Needless to say, very uncomfortable atmosphere and I won't be back. If staff is homophobic to fellow staff, who knows how they'll treat their customers. Also, I posted another review that was removed, so T-Bones is removing reviews rather than ameliorating their service. Also, notice how their response was posted 10 days before I posted my review? Not sure how that's possible, but they obviously just have a template for these things and don't care about customer service. read more

I can safely say that I enjoy the food here good steak tips and burgers, and the scallops wrapped in bacon are excellent as is the mini burgers,they also have a decent selection on tapand their gametime and happy hour specials can't be beat. And it helps that the waitresses are all reasonably goodlooking and very friendly and waiters and bartenders are friendly and prompt customer service has never been an issue. pricing is moderate unless you plan to close the joint then you'll spend some money but it's worth it. read more
