This is a staple of mine! The club sandwich is bomb and so are the chili cheese fries! Anything burger is good too!

Food is very mediocre. They also charged us for fries which is 3.99 instead of a drink and when I said something to the guy, he said "do you just want a drink instead, they are pretty much the same price" then proceeded to give me a small drink instead of a large when the large is still a dollar less than the Fries. Growing up in Pasadena, I was intimately familiar with Top's Burgers-- delicious burgers, their famous chili cheese fries, their incredible Carne asada burrito, huge orders of fried zucchini and onion rings, and the big-enough-to-share taco salad, all washed down with a large Mr. Pibb with that crunchy ice. My family came here after countless Little League games and Scout meetings when we were kids, and the same fellow that ran the store is still there. When T Burgers opened in Monrovia, I was a little apprehensive about trying it. Sometimes spin-offs just aren't the same thing as the original. After our first trip, I was pleased to discover that the menu is every bit as good-- the same great fast food, the same ranch dressing for dipping, the same spot by carrots and peppers to doll up your tray. The drive thru is a little wanky, with transactions happening on the passenger side of the vehicle. Luckily, several In N Outs have trained us to deal with this minor inconvenience, so put it in park, take off your seatbelt for a sec, and have at it. Take care returning to Foothill Blvd. Folks seem to drive faster than they should here, and we've seen a few near-misses from the dining room. Prices are a little higher than most other fast food burger joints, but in my opinion, it's worth it. Orders of fries, rings, and zucchini are generally enough for two folks anyway, so order with purpose or bring your appetite. read more

Our family has enjoyed food from T Burgers for years. We frequently enjoy their burgers, sandwiches, salads, and burritos. The service is great. Staff members are courteous and efficient. We often do take out, but enjoy dining in, too. The restaurant is clean and has plenty of seating. read more

We ordered a chicken sandwich, cheeseburger, and two orders of fries. When our meal arrived, the bag was stapled shut. We opened the bag and unwrapped our sandwiches, and just before my son took a bite, I noticed a worm of some sort start crawling around just inside the bag. I made a video of it, but I can't upload video here, so here are screen shots. Needless to say this is GROSS, and I have no idea what kind of business serves food like this. This used to be one of my favorite restaurants but lately it has gone downhill. The service isn't what it once was, when you ask a question about the menu they seem unhappy to answer. We used to live in Monrovia and came to this restaurant often. It used to be really good, but it is no longer any good as the food is absolutely terrible. And the top it off it was also really overpriced. We were in the area and wanted to support a local business and so we stopped in. I really wish we had not. We ordered a single meat burrito and large fries and...it was over $17! That would have been okay as long as the food was good. It was not good value for money because what we got was a stale, hard as a rock tortilla (you could not get a tooth or knife through it!) filled with a tiny bit of cheese and a huge mound of nasty, bad tasting, foul-smelling, reddish coloured meat, and that was it. There was nothing else in this horrible concoction but the bit of slimy cheese and this disgusting meat. No sour cream, tomato, guac, lettuce, nothing. It was the worst a burrito we've ever eaten in our lives. We couldn't finish it and threw it out, it was so gross. The frys, which we were told were a "huge" amonut when we asked why they were over $7, were in fact not a huge amount, but a small to average amount of overcooked, burnt fries. They were basically desiccated and tasteless. There was no flavoring on them, such as salt or pepper, but that didn't matter because the massive amount of salt on the burrito could have killed an elephant. If you value your health and your pocketbook avoid this restaurant. Sad to see a formerly well liked Monrovia eatery fall so far below its former standard, and frankly any reasonable standard. I got the tuna sandwich and egg burrito. I was starving and was waiting for prescription was ready at cvs so I gave this place a chance. The tuna sandwich was a bit off. Under new management. I used to come here almost every week. I will not be returning. Everything is a miss here. Zucchini fries coating was stale and chewy, fried fish sandwich was over cooked and filled with oil, chicken sandwich was inedible with rubber chicken I literally had to return it. Would give this place a solid 4 stars. We recently moved to the SGV and have always passed this place coming home to Sierra Madre. Came on a Monday night and not a soul in sight. Thought what da heck, let's try it out.1 The people working behind the counter were nice and courteous. Nothing to complain about. They kept to themselves watching their MNF. Once food was ready they called over the speaker system letting us know the food was ready. So down to the food. Had the corn dog. Nicely deep fried. Probably frozen but still good. Then finished off with a 1/4 pastrami burger. Pastrami was thinly cut and was good. Nicely presented. The lettuce were crisp and tomatoes and pickles were good. Wish the bun was toasted... oh well. Not sure what other reviewers issues were. It was more than decent. Partner had a chicken plate. It was a grilled breast with fries and salad. Salad was somewhat wilted but nothing bad.. He stated chicken was seasoned, tender and flavorful. Fries were perfectly fried. Grilled cheese - bread was nicely toasted. Wish cheese could have been more gooier. Favorite weekend spot for breakfast burritos and their pancake plate which includes 2 large pancakes, eggs and bacon. And not just 2 or 3 pieces of bacon. I mean a handful of bacon. Service is always great and plenty of space to take the family. I ordered 2 large zucchini fries thinking that it would feed 10-15 people like at Tops in Pasadena. I was wrong. Half the size same price as Tops. They give you one tiny ranch per large order. I've had a couple breakfast burritos and a gyro here... they were ok. However, I mainly come here for the California burritos. Both asada and chicken are cooked perfectly and packed with flavor. The fries are hot & crispy, with a nice cheese & sour cream accompaniment. These burritos also come with a small cup of awesome, delicious green salsa. It's kinda pricy, but it's better than other Cali burritos I've had, so for that reason I think it's worth it to come here every so often and nosh away! read more
