My dissatisfaction is with this specific store and is beyond a mere complaint, it's consumer fraud in my opinion. I purchased a phone at this location from Kiara, who has lied time after time making commitments which ended up being nothing but total fraud. I was told when porting a new number onto the new phone that I would not be double billed since I had just paid a month for the old phone and didn't want to be double billed during the port. That ended up being a total lie! She stated "Don't worry, you won't be double billed. Then 7 days later when I was billed for the two lines during the port she refused to respond to multiple emails with a written response. In fact, when I sent the 3rd email, I stated that if you don't respond to the specific issues in the email, I'll be filing a complaint with the NY Department of Consumer Protection, MetroPCS corporate and would also bring a lawsuit against the store and naming her her as a defendant. I never received a reply. When I called the store, which I did over a period of 2 months, the phone was never answered and the voice mail greeting was "This mailbox is full and cannot take any messages because the mailbox has not been setup" What business in this day and age operates like this?? When I brought this to the attention of MetroPCS, they confirmed that she was making false statements and asked me who owned the store which at the time I did not know. When attempts were made by my colleagues to visit the store, Kiara claimed she didn't know who the owner was, another total lie! Who doesn't know who their boss is? When attempts were made to take a picture of the business license as per New York Department of Consumer Affairs requires (A business license shall be displayed at the entrance or another conspicuous location where the licensed activities are performed) Kiara then turned to verbal and physical threats towards this individual who visited the store on my behalf. This was unprofessional and illegal. I now have a phone that I cannot obtain spare parts for nor obtain any tech support because of this stores refusal to provide what was asked for in multiple emails. I now have to take this matter to Senior management at Metro PCS, The New York Department of Consumer Affairs and Nord, the phone manufacturer for resolution. I strongly recommend that you deal with MetroPCS directly or through a corporate store in lieu of this place.

Spacious with plenty of employees-and people-milling around, I found myself at the end that had a workshop going on. There were a couple people seated and the cool thing about this is that one can wander in and out at their leisure while it's going on. I actually took an interest and sat in for the camera/photo session, picking up a few tips I didn't know about prior. I get this is basically a tourist destination due to the name and the unique space, but I bet it gets crazy when new items are dropped. There are other doors that are on sides of the building if you want to avoid the crowds that enter through the main cube entrance. They really are open 24/7, so if you want more personal attention for your Apple needs, you might as well come later since you actually can.

The Backstory: Welp.. it finally happened.. after more than a decade of using several generations of iPhones, my current iPhone 15 Pro Max (ensconced in a usually VERY protective double-layered hard rubber case) managed to find its way to a hard tile floor quite energetically, causing the front screen to crack and spiderweb. Argh! All this after a zillion other falls, I suppose the stress finally caught up to that GorillaGlass. I searched high and low via Yelp, and Fix and Go NY seemed to always bubble up to the top of the list in terms of good feedback. So, I texted these guys, and they gave me a solid quote within 3 minutes of my initial inquiry. I asked a few more questions that they answered over the following hour, and before ya know it, I was on the subway over to their store to drop my phone off. While I was there, I also decided to have them replace the original battery with a new one, as my original just wanted to quickly drain. Lastly, for an extra ten bucks, they put on a protective glass screen over my new OLED screen. They expertly applied that protective screen with NO bubbles. Not easy for the mortal man! I was back up and running within the time window promised.. I had errands to run, so I came back about 2 hours later and my phone was all set for pickup. Zero delay. Courteous attentive honest service. Epilogue: I am pretty picky, but I did not notice any degradation in display quality whatsoever. Great workmanship on the repair. The new battery holds its charge way longer than my 2yo original battery. The only thing to be aware of is that the iPhone's hardware configuration status under Settings -Battery will gently report that you have non OEM parts in your iPhone. Not a big deal to me, except maybe at trade-in time, but what can ya do.. I need my phone! lol. All said, my iPhone now works better (longer lasting battery and scratch free display) than it did a week ago even before its nasty fall. PRO TIP: Be aware they do tack on an extra 3% surcharge to your quote if you are using a credit card, but I get that. No problem. PRO TIP 2: If you have an iPhone 17 Pro, they warn that you should get AppleCare if you still can, as the iPhone 17 screens are PRICEY and shatter easily compared to my "old" iPhone15 Pro Max.
